many years ago, I was passing by a local supermarket. I saw a fire rescue vehicle with the hood open, so I stopped to see if I could help. Apparently, a connecting rod for the starter had broken off. After looking at the problem, I went back to my truck and grabbed a six inch bunjee cord. It was a perfect fit! They were able to get the rig back to the station so it could be properly repaired. Being a former boy scout and soldier, being prepared for just about anything is in my dna. Great vid bro. Keep 'em comin'!

You can also pair the hooks together in one finger and find the middle of the bungee cord in the other to pass through a strap hanger and insert the two hooked ends of your bungee through the bungee loop to synch the bungee cord to the strap hanger on one end of your computer bag and run the two hooks from both ends of your bungee cord to the other strap hanger to have a much more firm grip handle attached to your computer bag.

Great video Sootch! TY for sharing your ideas, I particularly enjoyed the use on mollie webbing. I am disabled, in a wheelchair,, and people laugh at the goofy ways I find to make our sport and life easier for me to fit into. As a wheelchair shooter, I find it even harder to find gear that "fits" or is even designed with wheelchair shooters in mind. I enjoy your channel, love your State, love the USA, and I am glad to be Canadian and live to cover your Northern border. TY again my friend,, eh!...LOL.

+sootch00 don't mind him, yes, God bless the world, but he is wrong, the guy who said that to you... Sootch said God bless America because he is bei correct a+ to you sootch! And he dude who said sootch only likes America or whatever, your wrong, sootch says God bless America, because we are a nation of God, some other countries may support. Differnt God/'leader :Korea, China, Japan, Europe, so sootch was the correct one here,. The saying God bless America is in songs, there's buildings to worship him, and our land was built by God, and all other land, but we are the nation who believes in Jesus, he is on our money, and much other things, so sir, with all due respect, you aren't a true American to say that, hiding behind a keyboard trying to nitpick at someone who is a true American (sootch)... Sootch, your the man. My hat is off to you brother.. Be strong... Be of good courage... God bless America, long live the republic!

-Wrap bungee cord around a can for an emergency beverage can koosie. Caution: cans can be cold.
    -SHTF improvised slingshot
    -Emergency bandage wrap for sprains.
-No hat? Use a piece of cloth over your head and use a bungee cord to secure the cloth to your head.
    -Emergency dog leash.
-Rock pillow. Take a large rock and place grass, cloth, weeds, etc, around the rock. Then wrap bungee cords around it tightly to lock in the grass around the rock.
If you use enough grass, etc, it should be fairly soft.
    -Hammock holders around trees
-Alarm system. Bungee cord across door with bell attached?
    -Snow traction? Snow shoes?
2 to 6 smaller bungees around shoes top to bottom. At bottom of shoes add sticks in between your soles and the bungees to hold the sticks in place. Instant traction!
-Neck warmer in survival. Don't wrap too tight.
-Metal hooks on bungee cord ends could be bent and attached to sticks as improvised defense weapon for wildlife, bear, etc.
    -Plastic dollar/grocery store bag
holder. Thread bungee cord through handles of your plastic bagged dollar store treasures and carry them all inside in one trip. Then celebrate with your favorite beverage, but don't forget your bungee cord koosie.

When is a bungee cord stretched too tightly before it breaks? I am using a bungee cord to its maximum stretch (really had to pull the ends together to get them to meet to secure a springloaded long handle) and I'm concerned that the cord might pop/break, allowing the springloaded long handle to pop up and hit something or someone.

We need to learn how to make bungee loops similar to the elastic hair bands.
There must be a diy process to gluing and some sort of lashing technique we can master to force multiply the common bungee by making it a hook-less loop.
With as many uses as I have found with the common hair band surely there is a market for a sturdy heavy duty bungee loop.
Any ideas or knowledge on the processes or available products would be helpful.
    Thanks.
