I process chapstic tubes that way and use them for match cases. They hold 7 large waterproofed strike anywhere matches by alternating the heads up and down, a birthday candle fits in the center and a few model will actually allow you to carry a compressed cotton ball under the lid. Great tutorial.
I paused the video to test one of the uses, and my boss just caught me smearing chapstick against my glasses...wasn't sure how to explain.
against my glasses...wasn't sure how to explain.
communistjesus are you insane?
Jealkeja are you insane?
Perfect size for hooping
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
lubricity! lol... Best word ever!
Love it! Your videos should be required watching in elementary and high schools. College and Senior Citizen schools too. Learning to use your brain is a much needed survival school, and you are performing a desperately needed public service. God bless America! I almost threw away a bunch of old chapstick I had, but now I have many uses for it. I can't say thanks enough. Thanks.
I use it under my nose when I have a cold and have to blow my nose a lot. Much cheaper than fancy premoisterized tissue and frankly works better. I can use the roughest dollar tree tissue or toilet paper and never get a rash under my nose.
Great on hemorrhoids too.
@@ThalamusMinimus Eeewwww!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Sometimes I use my sister's strawberry-chapstick on my bloody hemorrhoids when she's not home. Then I put the cap back on and put it back in her room. Is that ok?

The Q-tip Chapstick lighter was really cool
Hands down the best ChapStick video on the internet.
I can't tell if your serious or not.
Adam Slater - you're
You can also pry the bottom screw out, pull it back, and push it in really hard. The cap will fly across the campsite and hit your buddy in the head. :D
Rub this around the inside of screw on food jars, keeps the lid from sticking. Rub a light coat over the inside of Tupperware container to keep it from staining. Use on pets paw for emergency burns from hot concrete or cuts. I just found your channel, I like it! I’ve got a brother that is a huge prepper, I am gonna recommend this channel to him! I see you have a USMC knife, if you served in the armed forces a big thank you! If no, then thanks for making this channel anyways!! 😁🤗
You could use the empty tube to hold needles for a homemade sewing kit.
Great info !! Now you need to do the 25 SHTF uses for q-tips !!
You could also use it to wax the string of your bow!
Roger that and thank you.
Sootch? You're videos are my favorite...everyday items with survival uses. Genius.
"...my wife doesnt know about it and now I can go out and buy some guns..."
lel
Hahaha!
Using the empty tube as a pill bottle like aspirin or Ibuprofen works as well. Thanks for the video.
Wow the wound treatment idea is really good. Would not have thought, that Lip Balm is such a versatile tool.
Me either
Thank you for these videos. They really are full of helpful information. At the beginning you mentioned some reasons for making these videos. Another reason I thought of was that you might have some suggestions I might not normally think of.
I'm really new to this sort of thing, so I'm enjoying every one of these videos that I watch. I like all the little bits of humor you leave or put in. Even some of the out takes are educational
Thanks again,
Bruce
The final idea mentioned at the very end is a great recommendation. I never thought of this product as a treatment for butt hurt, and though it may not be a cure, it's as good a suggestion as any for that ailment. lol
I keep a stick of Carmex in my EDC kit and it's one of my most used items. Good video!
Enjoyed your tips. And your sense of humor! Thanks for sharing some cool ideas.
I think I'd say this is the most useful video I have ever seen, thank you so much.
Loving the stash idea! Great spot to hide some cash!
Love the ending use. LOL!
Yeah... good idea.. put money in the one thing that you (or at least i) always lose
Awesome video packed with lots of great info! Thanks again. Definitely gonna add some chapstick to my survival bag.
Another good use is a loose or dirty 8mm stereo or mono phono jack rubbing a small amount on shaft helps reduce noise. I just did this on my warn out laptop phono jack and it reduced static noise to almost none at all. Good for cleaning the contacts and preventing oxidation at the same time.
Also doubles as an excellent sunblock in a pinch have used it multiple times in the field. Especially if it it 15 or 30 spf the reduction of a sun burn during inhospitable weather allows for great increases in mobility and reduces fatigue
Excellent video on uses of chapstick. I love the stash/survival idea, thank you very much for some food for thought.
You make awesome videos, keep up the good work!
Some great tips here Sootch. Never thought of the hideaway trick for a little stash. Great idea!
Another great video... Thanks for all you do.
Great info. Thank you for sharing!

Wow, vary cool! Thank for the ideas, and the help
At last a video that is to the point, up close to show you what they are doing and informative...love it and now going out to buy chapstick..
A lot of these hacks were common Bees Wax "hacks" that my Aunts knew and used back in the 1960's. Such as Car battery terminal posts, Window and drawers sticking, sealing and waterproofing shoes and boots, etc...
Wow. Just learned something new. Thank you!
Great! Thanks for sharing.
Great examples and ideas! Thanks Don!
Some great ideas Sootch!
Awesome video, from a new fan across the pond.
wow great video...stuff i would never of thought of..will tryout some of these ideas
Keep up these awesome videos man thank you! :D
There's a product I've used called "climb on bar" it's the same stuff, just in a larger tin. I've used it a lot to pack up small cuts and cracking cuticles, as well as lips and to sooth sunburns. Great video!
Amazing. Thank you so much.
Killer video , thanks !
Get some
Great ideas! Thank you!
Great video, it really helped me out a lot. Thank you!
Great video, I always have a Chapstick with me so this was a real eye opener, thanks dude!
brilliant video thanks for sharing!
Great info!!
Excellent.
Awesome vid sootch.
My husband and I are beginner preppers and your videos are very helpful. I enjoy watching and learning from someone so knowledgeable. I especially like the comment about hiding cash to buy extra ammo and gear, as I find myself trying to do the same. lol I'm excited about setting up a day to try all of the stuff I've learned so far. Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming.
practice ,practice, practice.
Lol! That last part was great sootch!!
thanks for your help
Awesome video. Gotta try this for the safety glasses I wear at work. Always fogging up.
Good advice love this. This could be useful in the snow if your in a refuge of some sort.
This is quite interesting, Don. I never thought of these.
wow . this is a very interesting . thank you for all the different ideas .
great video. I learned a lot by watching and I am always smiling by the end of it. Keep on making these video's. You are really good at it.
I remember watching that movie "The Book of Eli" ...and I was thinking...
Note to self: get chap stick for the post Apocalypse
thank God I'm not the only one. when I saw that scene about barter I instantly thought "they are lite cheap.... oh man I know what I am missing in the bob."
Watching "The Book of Eli" was very enlightening to me as well. Chapstick would be a great commodity to have to use to barter with.
TheyKNOWandYOUdont Why when you got Cat Oil??
Nice tips! There were a few that surprised me.
Sootch ...you're a MOUNTAIN MAN !!!!!
Thx !!!!!
Your videos are Awesome!
Great tips.I really like the cash hideaway.
I would never hide cash in one of those because I always loose my chap stick and have to keep buying it all the time. Another use is you can use the empty as a pill bottle if the pills are small.
Fantastic thank you
Like the slide rule at c. 8:50! Fun video. Thanks.
Thanks for making this vid, I learned a lot. Now CS is part of my EDC.
Good stuff sootch
I used it everyday and I never would have thought about sm of these. I think I might make sm of those mini kits with my empty ones. Great vid :)
Great info...I've always got chapstick :)
Wao mashallah😂😂😂put Allah tenu khush rakhay Ameen mey budi madi 80 sal di aaa
Great video, thank you sir
Great for bow string and also crossbow... I even add a layer to slide on handgun.
Another great super small prep that does almost everything you can do with chap stick is candles, specifically the tiny tea light candles. There are so many things you can do besides the obvious burning a candle for light.
Great ideas and video.. Thanks !!
Thanks!
The money stash part was funny af.. But again very useful information. Thanks!
great advice!
awesome video, thanks for sharing
My Boy Scout Troop always kept the medicated Chapstick in their pocket first aid kits. As well as protecting lips from being chapped, it also works as ointment for cuts, and it is spf 15 sunscreen, which can be put on your nose and ears when you feel them getting sunburned. I have always kept a stick in my tackle box.
Wow sootch I was just using Chapstick well Carmex on my thumb bc I had a bad cut and it's been cracking so I put some on works great. This was like two days ago and now your vids out on the different used of Chapstick pretty cool
great video...
Great video!
"25 SHTF uses for Chapstick!"
*Proceeds to rub chapstick on everything like it is magical healing WD 40*
I did like some of the uses though, good job.
great ideas...
Not Burt's Bees! That's the Rainier Arms of chap :)
I wouldn't use the Burt's Beeswax on most of this due to how expensive it is. Use the cheap chapstick for most of this and save the Burt's for lips and skin.
Fantastic info ...subscibed
when you repairing your gear on the field, and yoir needle had a hard time going tbrough thick material, dipp it in to a chapstick . Its will help !!!
THOSE ARE SOME GREAT IDEAS
Thanks helps a lot
Some good ideas, Subbed
This has just got me thinking mate i know you love the cotton ball technique wold that stick work on tumble dryer lint thanks for the cool videos rick uk 😎
I'm totally going to use it for when my backpack zipper gets stuck!! Thanks!
Good Job...
Awesome video
Lol--loved the very end. ♥️
Good stuff.
Vasoline makes a miniature tub that fits in the pocket. I like that because i find that if it gets hot out the chapstick melts in the tube and can run out.
Awesome video, I am gonna put a couple chapsticks in my bug out bag.
Might want to keep them in a ziplock bag. They tend to leak when temperatures rise.
A small tub of Vaseline would be more useful
But takes more space, but not much
Great!
