Sootch, would you mind doing an EDC carry on bag video for airplane travel? I'm interested to see how you would handle the constraints of flying and what your bag would look like.
This is a very useful video for people venturing into the bush. I have done some of your suggestions before and work very well. Thanks for the informative side of survival.
I subscribed with your early prepping and Glock videos then I unsubscribed because of work and my schedule. Now I have a family and I'm a subscriber forever. Keep it up sir, your information is literally keeping my family safe (through me of course).
Very good video, having lived in and near the desert I have used a T shirt as a pillow, I just rolled the bottom end over several times then positioned the open shirt neck over the now rolled portion of the shirt and scraped about 3 to 5 lbs of clean or "soft " sand in the shirt using your hands this will help in keeping stones or sharp rocks out of the pillow, tie off the sleeves over the open neck. As you showed with the leaves it will make a good seat cushion as well as a firm pillow. Now in order to move the pillow reach around the pillow and grasp it by the rolled up portion so you do not dump all of the sand out. Have a god and safe week.
Great video man, I've got so many cut up t shirts, there good for just about everything. It gets hot in Calabash NC so if you bump into me in summer chances are I got a wet t shirt on my head or neck.
It may sound odd but old drawers (underwear, skivvies, etc.) can be used as well. Just wash them one final time with plenty of bleach. Obviously cotton is preferred.
In my Get Home Bag in my truck, I keep a cotton t-shirt, a 10% cotton/90% Polyester t-shirt, and a 60%/40% wool/Cotton blend button down, just so I have multiple layers and multiple options.
T-shirt cloth for char cloth, T-shirt rags for a bath or wash up, can be used in a pinch as tissue paper, or baby wipes,or use to wrap up leftovers for easy carry.
Sootch, on the last video. Where you blasted your pick up. I need to know did you frag the battery? It appeared a piece of a Bullet penetrated the margin of the battery case. Cheers, Mate.
You forgot the most important use...Toilet Paper!!!! Especially when when Mr. Prepared...yeah me, forgets to bring THE ROLL :). Good ideas non the less!
I had a friend that had a flannel shirt with one sleeve when I asked him what happen he said he went hunting one day and forgot to bring some toilet paper so he improvised lol
me and my family are going camping so THIS will come very handy for us what do you need for these things so i can write it down if you allow me please cause it would be a pleasure to have these hacks.
+Griff They did in fact show us how to use our pant as well. But since the post was about T-shirts............ I tried to keep with the spirit of the subject. My bad
steve w No no, not your bad. Don't apologize, I was just asking a subjective question, trying to educate myself through others. I knew the USMC were taught to use their pants since my grandfather told me that's what they did in bootcamp, I did not know about the shirts or if that was strictly a Navy thing, so thank you for informing me :)
+Griff It's all good, I do love the RUclips Forum. We can all learn something. FYI, you pull the neck of the tee up to the back of your head going under your ears and pinch it closed under your nose. With your upper arms down at your side, inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. As long as the material stays wet the shoulder area will inflate and hold trapped air. This trick stayed with me because I never slept with my pants on, but always in a tee.
For the bleeding one: It does help a alot, but you may make the wound worse. Dont put much pressure, just tie it a bit higher if you are bleeding to death
Been there ! and thank you, just to say ,,, please there is only one thing holding you back. It's you, it is you, think really think, Remember this... The Devil drives hardest when you are at you lowest, Think, that's what the evil one and it's companion's want in any way. Thank you for the information. It is very usefull and give's peap's I hope a chance to expand thier thought's. Most People DO NOT THINK, sorry peap's you Dont... Every thing around you is there for you, just, try just be, just be you and try.. We will survive.......
all good ideas. I would first rap the t-shirt around the stick when making the torch, then add the flammable liquid, the way you showed it, is messy and dangerous.
+tubby1022 It's an old Ken Hackathorn Speed holster that I used in IPSC Matches. I've had it for 25 years. BTW, that's a Browning Hi-Power but the 1911 fits the holster as well. Thanks
We have five years worth of old t-shirts cut into squares, (approx. 6" x 6"), for when toilet paper runs out - like it has in Venezuela. The t-shirts work great, BUT DON'T FLUSH - you have to discard the used item.
Leaf pillow = bad idea. I might do that with fresh leaves from a tree, but not crap off of the ground. I cannot imagine the irritation of chiggers on my head lol
Or you can make a brew with it making a T-bag, that's why, they called it a Tea-Shirt in the first place; watch video series "The Swiss Beast - Home of the Devil" in three parts for total intel on the enemy within.
Thank you for these out of the box thinking videos. 💕🙏🏻
Good Ol' Sootch...🇺🇸
Sootch, would you mind doing an EDC carry on bag video for airplane travel? I'm interested to see how you would handle the constraints of flying and what your bag would look like.

Sootch, when you get your truck fixed i want to see a 25 uses for an old truck hood video.
:D
Haha I like the t-shirt pillow idea.
Wow! Excellent advice and information!
Very informative and Amazing Video as always!!!!!!!!!
Awesome stuff Don, you would make the best Uncle to go camping with
+Josh Bortolotti Thanks Josh!
Great video Sootch!
I love your 25 list you should do them more often. Keep up the good work
They make good shop rags too. Kinda funny I found this video last night after getting home from Walmart buying a bunch of shirts
Good ideas thank you for the video.
Good video.
I was going to throw away a bunch of T's; now I may vac-u-seal them, and put into long term storage.
Great video man, I've got so many cut up t shirts, there good for just about everything. It gets hot in Calabash NC so if you bump into me in summer chances are I got a wet t shirt on my head or neck.
You could use it to have a wet t shirt contest !! A real moral booster when you're lost in the woods.
+pumpkin12162 But if you did use your shirt, you could have a no t-shirt contest.
The problem us that you need a lady for that
@@johnsykora439 : At a some point as you age, you realize that your boobs have sagged. Even if you're a dude.
It may sound odd but old drawers (underwear, skivvies, etc.) can be used as well. Just wash them one final time with plenty of bleach. Obviously cotton is preferred.
I have actually used a old ripped shirt for cleaning my gear. it works way better then store bought patches. plus cleaning my car.
Loved the clip at the end
Great video and entertaining. I always like to check out your videos because they have very useful information. Keep up the good work.
First part of the music just makes you scream Yeeeehaaaa! lool keep them comin Sootch!

This might of already been said. But instead of putting mud on the star to blank it out just turn the T-Shirt inside out.
+MrFermanaghman Good point. Thanks Brother

I know the focus is on your other channel, but I really enjoy the content you post here. Keep the vids coming!
love you doing your tremendous vids!
great video as usual
Sootch, on the last video. Where you blasted your pick up. I need to know did you frag the battery? It appeared a piece of a Bullet penetrated the margin of the battery case. Cheers, Mate.
+Jack Walsh A bullet did hit it but no damage to the function. Thanks!
+sootch00 Thank you.
Cool video this may save me sometime
Appreciate the videos! Keep it up!!
+Trevor Perez Thanks Brother!
If you're going to have to make multiple fires while surviving/camping etc., you can use small pieces of t-shirt to make char cloth.
I don't normally wear t-shirts but I'll be throwing one into the bug-out bag now because of this video.
You forgot the most important use...Toilet Paper!!!! Especially when when Mr. Prepared...yeah me, forgets to bring THE ROLL :). Good ideas non the less!
I love these videos! Any chance a new Group Bug Out video will be made soon? I really enjoyed seeing what everyone carried.
I had a friend that had a flannel shirt with one sleeve when I asked him what happen he said he went hunting one day and forgot to bring some toilet paper so he improvised lol
+Francisco Franco why not cut both sleeves and have a tank top?
He wants the other sleeve there in case it happens again
me and my family are going camping so
THIS will come very handy for us what do you need for these things so i can write it down if you allow me please cause it would be a pleasure to have these hacks.
In the Navy, we were trained on how to use a T-shirt as a flotation device. One more use, eh.
I thought they always trained to use your pants? Or is that the Marines?
+Griff They did in fact show us how to use our pant as well. But since the post was about T-shirts............ I tried to keep with the spirit of the subject. My bad

LOVE your videos, you're hilarious! I love your jokes!!
One question, do you have to have a certain pot to put over the fire?
I love this vids! keep the good work up man👍
Could you use a t-shirt to plug holes in the hood of your truck?
+David Atherton Cheeky
Do you think the maxpedtion 3 would make a good day hiking packs ? I been thinking about buying one
For review but is it enough room ?
Hey I am watching u form Saudi Arabia and u have a great and awesome videos
Just a thought, green leaves are softer & quieter when making a pillow.
For the bleeding one: It does help a alot, but you may make the wound worse. Dont put much pressure, just tie it a bit higher if you are bleeding to death
didn't know you had a second channel, subbed
You are the man! I love all your vids! Sam - US Navy Can do!

New subscriber: Awesome ideas! Thanks!
Hi Sootch... I like the look of your knife. Can you tell us the make and model please? Thanks!
Hi from France !
+sootch00 For that tourniquet use a stick with the T-shirt and twist till tight :)
+R Lindsey Good point. Thanks
Very nice music in the intro :-)
Did you lite that with fuel on your hands?
I've used a t-shirt too but a good pillow is a hooded sweatshirt, stuff the whole thing into the hood, if you don't need it for warmth
+vltx17 Good choice. But this is about T-Shirts : )
+sootch00 plus a t-shirt packs away much smaller and easier
That poor BCM shirt!
+Mrgunsngear Channel Threw it in the wash, good as new : )
For the pillow one with the shirt make sure that there’s no ticks in the leaves
all good ideas. I would first rap the t-shirt around the stick when making the torch, then add the flammable liquid, the way you showed it, is messy and dangerous.
You should do a video on different types of signal traps and such.
Hi sootch00 what was that holster you were using for your 1911? I like the look of that one where can I pick it up?
+tubby1022 It's an old Ken Hackathorn Speed holster that I used in IPSC Matches. I've had it for 25 years. BTW, that's a Browning Hi-Power but the 1911 fits the holster as well. Thanks
+sootch00 thank you for that I will check it out
For your tourniquet make a knot place over artery then make tight with or without stick works better then just tying
sorry, but I can not leave it alone.
flammable fuel!? you maverick!!
Love the jmb shirt have one myself
Nice video :)
Sootch.do you have a video on how to make char cloth?
But you can just download e-bibles? 3:41
+CircaSriYak Lol thats what i was thinking
adjust, adapt, and over come. It's been true for many years and it remains true today
We have five years worth of old t-shirts cut into squares, (approx. 6" x 6"), for when toilet paper runs out - like it has in Venezuela. The t-shirts work great, BUT DON'T FLUSH - you have to discard the used item.
thumps way up.
For the shirt if u put a rock in it with some cord u can swing it around making a bigger target
sweet 👍
In the snow you could use you black t-shirt with eye holes to stop getting eyes sun burned
+Xhellhounds Good idea. Thanks
Leaf pillow = bad idea. I might do that with fresh leaves from a tree, but not crap off of the ground. I cannot imagine the irritation of chiggers on my head lol
2:38 not a bad way to get jiggers either hahaha
Improvise your truck hood.
+Theodore Ha ha
+sootch00 so glad you posted that video, shows you have a good sense of humor and shit happens to the best of us!
Use #26 - TP. 'Cause when you gotta go, ya gotta go!
Use it a s a rifle rest on your truck hood so you don't...you know...shoot your truck.
+stimproid No kidding... thanks

What branch of the military where you in Sir?
I made charcloth from a tshirt, and a pair of jeans.
Or you can make a brew with it making a T-bag, that's why, they called it a Tea-Shirt in the first place; watch video series "The Swiss Beast - Home of the Devil" in three parts for total intel on the enemy within.
this guy is awsome
