It's been a while. So we got a remake of the classic that is Persona 3, hell yeah! And when I heard this song for the first time, I knew I had to cover it.
There's some really good ones already in YT, but not too many played on a 4 string bass, so this is for all the 4 string bros!

Oh man everything shoji meguro composes is loaded with bass. I wonder if he does it himself or has another guy like Lotus like how Daisuke Ishawatari has Naoki
@@omegacanon As much as I love Meguro's work, he wasn't actually involved in the brand-new tracks made for Reload, just the reworks of the original game's tracks. This one was composed by Atsushi Kitajoh.

TOOO FONKYY! What I love about teh bass in Shoji Meguro's composure is that its so active it takes on a fugue-like quality where it can help imply more complex harmonies.
Well said! That's one of the reasons I love Meguro's work. His approach to bass is quite unique and very tasteful and inspiring. Definitely one of my favorite composers

@@pasta_boi8266 yea it is not an easy song. My advice would be to learn it at, say 0.75x speed and increase it once you get comfortable/familiar with the different basslines

im new, how do you eq to sound like that?
for this one i had bass at 8, mids at 5 and treble at 6.
might not sound exactly the same because of the gear differences but it should sound similar to mine if not better
capo on fret 4 to play this tab on a 5 string 💀

It's tuned a half step down if that's what you mean
How did you get such a great tone?
I don't consider my tone to be that great, but thank you! I usually hit the strings as hard as I can (carefull with fret buzz tho). By itself this particular bass sounds really dull, but the Darkglass vst by Neural DSP works wonders. Oh, and new strings help too!
