You commented about a revolver Gary Busey used in Point Break. Glad you came around. Taurus always made great revolvers. The new Rossi models are nice too. The older models are S&W all day long.
We may be trying some rossi as well. My comment on the point break episode was truly to point out that Gary busey was going up against dudes with steyr Augs and shotguns with the snub nose which is sorta silly.
Thanks for bucking the gun snobs... Taurus USA has always been a company that takes chances and innovates. Unlike the competition in the market. My only nitpick is they never keep things in catalog. They make some model for 5 years, then it goes away. I have a itch to buy a model 692 tracker. I like the idea of having seven shots and the ability to change calibers from .357 Mag to 9 mm Para. I don't know why someone has not come up with that easy changeable cylinder concept before? I also wish Taurus would bring back their titanium series.
I just brought mines yesterday waiting for it to get here very beautiful nice firearm…the only question I want to kno would it be good to concealed carry or would it be good for the house?
Taurus makes some very nice guns. I recently bought my wife a Taurus 856 .38 spcl. Its a great gun for camping where we might run into 2 or 4 legged predators. I want her to be able to protect herself.
Hey Kiddo, I've looked into purchasing the exact revolver you are using. Good choice. I went that way while lobbying my VA Governor's Office (Gov. Youngkin), who saved our 2A Rights, the way I was told he would from an interview (also, getting info from a Sr. Aide he'd Veto HB2/SB2, an AWB) + he Vetoed the other 36! See, I began with revolvers. Had to use one in a Self defense situation against 5 armed gang members trying to rape my girlfriend. After that time, I went to Semi-Autos and never looked back, till almost forced to; but, wrong reasons. I'll purchase that gun in .357, later, owning others. Btw: good luck with the left handed training... Really!
@GmanGSW When you live in gangland or high crime area you for sure need the extra capacity because you are above average. The average person in reality does not get multiple attackers and longer gunfights that on average are less than one percent but we still carry reloads and don't stake our lives on averages. So pocket revolvers are big for a lot of folks when the average person is not going to get through a mag or cylinder let alone have time to reload in a five second gunfight and that is the reality many folks are out of touch with.
@@GUNVIRAIf I can get away with hiding my Taurus 856 Defender three inch on my body I will carry it because its more reliable than an autoloader and easier to operate with less hassle. Just have to really practice on reloads under stress and I use Bianchi speed strips or Zeta6 K-Pak because they lay flat in the pocket. More importantly I shoot autoloaders well but I shoot revolvers better and accurate fire is always better especially under stress. All three of my sisters have revolvers and will not not touch an autoloader unless I put one of mine in their hand and they will still gripe. Haha. They hate the slide, the mags, the trigger, the jams, the safeties, and so on. They don't want to have to remember all that stuff that goes with an autoloader. They really gripe about having to operate the slide more than anything. They love the simplicity of the revolver, its reliability, and its trigger. P.S. If you are having trouble getting your reloading down it would be worth your while to visit Sheriff Matt Oller RUclips channel and the video "Speedloader use" where he shows the most efficient way to reload even for lefties. Me being partially ambidextrous makes me weird so I don't do mine the same way. No matter which hand I shoot with I never transfer the revolver but always load with my support hand and that is not the way those who have a dominant hand should reload. Double action is not different mechanically than single action because fire control of hold the gun tight, point the gun at the target, and pull the trigger without moving the gun, does not change. There is just a longer trigger pull.
Sights are nice. I love my Brazilian revolvers. Don't understand why they get so much hate, gun fans are worse than car or sports fans. Taurus had seven shot big bore revolvers and smaller revolvers equipping them with laser from stock before any other company. Could get lighter hammer spring. But you handled that like a champ.
I think they’re still having issues with the cheaper semis. I saw some sort of factory recall they sent out on social media. But the revolvers seem solid
@@GUNVIRA I did see something about their millennium series too. They often have to change a lot of specs as well. I miss the pt92 and the pt247. I agree, the revolvers have a far better reputation. I wish they would bring back the 218 bee and the bull 480. Years ago they even made a single shot 50 caliber pistol, forgot what it's called and can't find it in my encyclopedias. Wasn't very successful though.
Awsome video as usual, but I have a random question ... Where do you get the scoop neck tops that you always wear for your videos ??? They look extremely comfortable and would really like to get me some. Thank you!

I’m a lefty revolver shooter as well. Once you figure out the reload it’s not bad. Good luck!
Thanks! Just got my hands on some more revolvers so more videos coming soon
Nice review! Since revolvers aren't typical the primary handgun these days, you might as well own a good looking one. I dig it! 👍👍

Relovers are different from autos but just as good.
Lots if practice, practice, practice.
Love your vids.

Thank u!
Bring back the 606, with a ported 3” barrel, and make an executive grade out of it.
I’m trying a 608 competition next
Is the trigger any better/smoother than the entry level? Just a compliment too, really like to see your diligent muzzle discipline great job.
I ended up using a $10 Galloway precision spring in it and love it
Nice looking firearm.
