i like new changes i bought the 21 at4 in january 21 i ordered it with the tow mirrors diesel with carbon pro bed and it came with kicker , did research on the big gas one but went diesel because of mileage but some of the ones that did towing reviews are off in real life they towed with empty trailers and said the got 24 mpg at 70 miles a hour i tow with mine at that time i had around 6500 miles on it and had 1 of my old tri 5 in it and only got 14mpg
Regardless of which model you end up with, make sure you get the extended warranty protection plan out to 7 years, 80,000 miles... you will definitely use it if you plan on keeping either model for 7/80k years. Our 2017 Yukon Denali has spent a considerable amount of time at the dealer for both warranty and after warranty repairs, which was covered by the extended protection plan.
definitely like the Denali look better. I do love the way GM flushed that screen into the dash. Give GM credit for that improvement. As I said before I love them all. The Tahoe, The Yukon either one, I would be happy with 😁

The SLT uses the Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban dash with the nav screen on top of the center vents. The Denali with the vents on top and higher dash more resembles the Escalade with a more built-in look instead of an afterthought.
Lighter interiors are available in SLT. We just got an SLT in June could not get adaptive cruise on it, now you can. But, you can’t get other options, people have been waiting orders for over a year some options. Ours does not have forward collision alert, the are supposed to install at a later date when chip comes in. It’s crazy. Good luck on your order.

Does the Denali engine (6.2 liter) have Active Fuel Management? GM has had a lot of problems with stuck and collapsed lifters. I’d rather have it without the AFM.
Makes very little difference to me. I tend to go for the lower trim specs to get the features I REALLY want. If I had to choose, I think the Denali looks a little better, but not worth $6K more, IMO.
Love light interior. Yes you have to be super clean gojng in but it’s so much easier to clean and shows way way less dust and fuzz. I wish they never took away the titanium grey interior they had until around 2013-14. Cocoa dune just wasn’t light enough!!
I know I'm late watching this video but we bought a 2023 SLT, in July 2023. It has the luxury pkg. Comes with sliding console and big IPAD screens for the rear passengers. Probably more stuff but that's what I can think of. 22" black wheels which the dealer chose. Nice rig with the Duramax diesel. Hauls ass and get crazy high fuel mileage.
Love the GMC Denali so much better we have a 19 terrain denali we got CPO and absolutely love it and the denali trim is the best trim and so much nicer looking
I could keep the light colored interior clean ( being 70 years old and living alone - but, I'm probably the only one who could LOL ) The dark interior is just that . . DARK. I like the Denali dash MUCH better, too - I wouldn't even consider the SLT for that reason, alone. I'd have to have the air suspension, too - I can't imaging anyone who can afford $80,000, would not choose to order it.
@@markleach2177 not 100% worth it if I’m being honest. Once the 3yr OnStar connected services trial wears off, you’d be better off using tablets. You can still fwd destination points to the driver and access them via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto

@@Winglet520 the LZ0 is the 2nd generation of the 3.0 duramax. Updated pistons, oil pump belt service interval, long crank issues(which is fixed in the gen 1 as well). If I remember correctly, there are like 30 updates to the engine. A little more HP and Torque too.

Hazard lights button on passenger side. Very clever. Driver seatbelt has to be reached with right hand. Otherwise its hard to get with left hand being right up against the b pillar. Every time u open a door theres an electric motor sound that seems like its gonna break once the warranty expires. Overall it seems like gm cut too many corners.
I tried to order a 2023 Chevy Trail Boss LT with a diesel at my local dealer and they told me I could not order it because of restrictions. Do you know when the restrictions will be lifted? If you don't know do you know someone at GM that I could talk to?
Both are nice. The slt more suited with young children (especially when they want to eat on long distance). Having no heated seats in back is also good as there will be NO fights from 3 children who sits on them. With the Denali, can ya turn off the heads-up display? I'm old school driver, for me less is more.
my 2021 AT4 sierra has every single option and more that the Denali yukon has. telling people that they should be happy to get back what we used to have at a far lesser price is repugnant. this is a flat out example of inflation. I love the vehicle and hate the result of our economy.
If you spend the money on the expensive vehicle, please get the TVs in the back even though I’m not a GMC person I still think they’re great cars. Specially, if you have a family if you’re looking for towing and truck, then I recommend Ford but whatever you do, do not buy the 2008 by the 1990 those are the real trucks.
No heated steering wheel on a SLT $72k truck, small $30k cars come with heated steering wheels, and my medium of the grade pick up has heated rear seats, and was for less money.

It’s ok for me, I have a rest camera on my camper trailer and my screen fits behind the display and both are visible and don’t hinder visibility. I may not have the option to see my rear camera on my camper in the factory display. I’m working on finding it so I could eliminate the second aftermarket screen
Sucks that there is no handle to assist your senior citizen guests (or anyone really. Bad planning, 2021-2023) getting into your $83,000.00 vehicle. I believe that that little tweeter in the front right pillar forced the omission of the handle. I guess I have to wait for the 2024's to trade in my 2021. Oh look, the less priced SLT has the handle. Maybe I'll just trade in for one of those. Who need to pay extra for a Denali. I would get a Denali if GMC could make it happen.

On the Denali, yes the rear view mirror flips to display the backup camera. It’s a very cool feature!

We just got ours and you can turn the brightness all the way down which basically just turns it off.
Are massaging seats available on the 2023 Denali? That will be the deal breaker between buying a Denali or another GLS 550.

It’s ok for me, I have a rest camera on my camper trailer and my screen fits behind the display and both are visible and don’t hinder visibility. I may not have the option to see my rear camera on my camper in the factory display. I’m working on finding it so I could eliminate the second aftermarket screen
Don't like the light interior it won't last
Sucks that there is no handle to assist your senior citizen guests (or anyone really. Bad planning, 2021-2023) getting into your $83,000.00 vehicle. I believe that that little tweeter in the front right pillar forced the omission of the handle. I guess I have to wait for the 2024's to trade in my 2021. Oh look, the less priced SLT has the handle. Maybe I'll just trade in for one of those. Who need to pay extra for a Denali.
I would get a Denali if GMC could make it happen.
