one of my favorite songs from my favorite character in this game, I love this song and listen to covers of it all the time, I find it hard to believe that I hadn't listen to your version yet but hey better late than never, I shouldn't have to say how good this is but this is really well done and must be praised for the unique spin you gave it with a much slower tempo which is pretty much your signature at this point and it really works for this song it feels like the song is breathing and it only makes me want to listen to it even more intently so thank you for a version of this song that only makes me love it more!
Thank you Melinda! I can't avoid but recall Erutan's version everytime I play it, I always imagine her lyrics when I listen to any instrumental version!
I have no words for how beautifully you play ^__^ This brought tears to my eyes, like I was reliving my first playthrough of FFVII, stunned at the loss of Aerith, stunned that the game would take away such an important character. You played this piece with the gentleness that Aerith put into caring for her garden back at the church, the spunk, fire, and zest for life that she lived each day with, and the willfulness of her soul as it lived on even after.
I'll confess I've never actually completed FF7, but the music has always impacted me. This piece, in particular, has a special place in my memories. Thanks for bringing that back to me on this wonderful morning!
Thanks to you for your nice message! The OST is incredible, I loved the game when I played it many years ago but I gotta admit some aspects have become a bit obsolete, I can't wait to try the remake!
@@MoisesNieto yeah, with the whole triplets for eighth notes or the short passage with the triplets for sixteenth notes is... Amazing xD But m'y right handed wrist is broken atm so i can't play e.e
Every time I hear piano versions of Aerith and Tifa's theme, it automatically sounds like it comes off from Advent Children movie which are super awesome.
Wow, that’s amazing! Never played FF but this sounds gooood. Recently watched Re:Zero, if you ever watch it could you maybe try a song out of there? Something like Fantasy Lied or Wishing could be nice.
Thanks! FF soundtrack is incredible, you don't need to play the games to enjoy it hehe~ I haven't watched it but I'll listen to it, thanks for the suggestions!
Your old FF7 covers are what made me subscribe to your channel. Fantastic work. Would you consider doing One Winged Angel again? Now you have much better equipment :)
Thank you shingetsu! Yeah who knows, I might do that one too~ My old One Winged Angel cover is super rushed, many said I couldn't control the tempo and they were so right haha
Stop reading my mind will ya? Everytime there's a new song I wanna play you end up doing it a week or 2 later 😂 I'll safe you the effort, next 2 are cloud smiles and Tifa's theme
Beautifully done! May I ask how long you’ve been playing? And how do you figure out how to get the right expression? I am starting to learn right now and it’s basically all I can do to make sure I match the rhythms and whatever other info the composer puts on the sheet music but I feel like there’s more to it than that and I haven’t figured out how to bridge that gap!
Thank you so much Sean! I started playing when I was 7 and I'm 28 now! You're right, sheet music is a guide but there's always so much to do that's not written! Sometimes you feel like doing a crescendo, decrescendo, accelerando, rit. etc, changes in dynamics and tempo that are not written but fits the style and the path of the song~ That's something you'll learn with time, this is my performance of this particular arr. of Aerith's Theme but of course there are many other possible versions hehe, you can also listen to the official Piano Collections recording to check what that performer does and try to replicate som of his/her ideas~ A very vague and general indication is that you should play the piano as if you were singing a song c: When we sing, we use our voice to tell a message, that message is better received with the appropiate intonation and with the necessary pauses between sentences~ If I had recorded this piece with a metronome, it would have sounded totally soulless!
I love this piece! I once tried to learn it but the part at 3:10 made me drop it because it was too hard for me to play two different notes at a different time. Anyway your version is great! ^^

Aw thank you so much for your beautiful comment! It's all thanks to Uematsu's beautiful composition, he's such a genius!

UEMATSU is really the best composer ever!
He's amazing! I really love Shimomura too though, I don't know if I could choose just one haha
@@MoisesNieto I understand, I've got the same problem with UEMATSU and MITSUDA!

Who let the onion ninjas out? Put them away please!
Could you perhaps play The Afternoon Streets from Kingdom hearts lll .
