- Monroe goes into the bank to make a deposit, as a gang of fully woged Wesen perform a bust.
From Grimm Season 2 Episode 14 'Natural Born Wesen': Three young adult Wesen are committing robberies using their Wesen appearances as masks. Nick's police team are on the case, as well as the Wesen Council, who see it as this is a blatant violation of the centuries old Schwaben code.

Important to note that the Wesen were, and still are, pretty smart about staying hidden. Unlike Vampire:The Masquerade where a single well-placed vampire can just control half the infrastructure of a continent without much fear of being killed, Wesen are very much vulnerable to getting gunned down. And guns are a great equalizer, especially if you consider how many more humans there are over Wesen. Revealing the existence of the Wesen through violent means would get every major military force (legal or not) very much interested with eradicating "the monsters". It would be a blood bath and quite likely lead to basically genocide.
If the Military is involved, first they would've to deal with themselves.
On the account if any Wesen are among the Rank and File... It would be a massive blood bath.

I loved episodes like this. Favorite thing about Grimm was the lore in its world and episodes like this would explain and explore an actual world with wesen not just an idea of creatures living amount us but an actual living world that didn’t have many plot holes

Monroe probably didn't want the normal human people at the bank to know he was Wesen. So he didn't vogue.
Alana Fowler that’s and there’s two kinds. The one where you slip from emotional response that only Grimms see and the ones they force in to the open. First one takes control to not do, the other is too show your species.
A good idea. Enhanced strength and durability with a built in mask that can be “discarded” without leaving evidence
Unfortunately that means finding the mask for evidence

If they went to court the evidence at the scene wouldn’t match them, no one would be able to identify them by face or voice, and they’ll never be able to find those masks to submit as evidence. You’d need to catch them with the money then be able to correctly identify it as money stolen from the bank

Leo MarBel oh yeah, from that perspective he’d be in trouble too. He could know for a fact they did it, but if he can’t provide proof that can be presented in a human court of law he wouldn’t be able to catch them. Imagine if he had a tape showing them unwoging. It would prove they were the ones in the bank, but he can’t out the Wesen like that

This is the thing I like about wesen folklore, they adhere to tradition as guidelines to life and treat ancient agreements between the royals, wesen and grimm like established by-laws that must be followed.
Sure there have been changes towards the standard of living for each kind, which is why all forces must also adapt to said changes, but 3 things still have to be followed; Wesen can't just straight up woge infront of the public, Grimm can't kill wesen i discrimanately and the Royals can't publicly interfere in the lives of mortal men.
That said, a lot of bodies did pile up in Portland when Nick is on the job.
To be fair, Nick only killed if forced to; if they try to harm or kill an innocent or someone he cares for, or attack him, then yeah, it's open season. But he's a good cop, and brings that sense of justice and honor to the table as a Grimm. Just ask the _Eisbiber_ lodge~😉
@@alexisgrunden1556 not saying its Nick's fault that bodies are found with peculiar wounds leading to their deaths are in Portland, but since Nick established himself as a good guy grimm, The Reapers, The Verrat and other groups that want the glory of slaying a grimm would be found piling up in the city morgue.
@@jled787 there are two types of Grimm. the ones who only kill evil wessen that prey on innocent humans or wessen, then you have the Grimm who see all wessen as monsters that need to be exterminated.
It’s moments like this that made Grimm interesting since a thing about Grimm was making sure to keep the Grimm and the cop away from each other but this one of the cases where it’s dead set between the 2. Honestly if that council hitman didn’t kill the 2 by the end of the episode nick would’ve probably been forced to kill the 2 to do damage control himself
Blutbads are still most badass wesens in Grimm.

@@tino6390 Due to their obsession with fighting warriors, Wildesheer are willing to hunt Grimms. They've been known to start entire hunts for one, and they have been doing this for centuries. Upon arriving before the confrontation, there is a storm of lightning, thunder, and wind, as if the beasts are "blown out of hell."
They sound pretty badass, espe ially since they are also The Berserkers of lore in The Grimm Universe, no fear of death or injury, they then scalp their fallen foes whom they deem as worthy warriors and sew their trophies on their cloaks, believing that each slain foe would add to their own power.

Daaang, Monroe is not happy about them going full woged in public! And understandable! Wessen seem to be very much for tradition and breaking such an agreement, a 400 year old agreement, ain't gonna go down easy in the Wessen world.
Those robbers thought they had an iron clad plan. The wessen have something to say about that.

it is very bad that there is no continuation of a lot of the serial film of grimm. after all, a lot of people fell in love with this film and its interesting variety, mysticism. fantasy and much more
I thought that Silas Weir Mitchell did such a fantastic job turning German gibberish straw into "I believe it so you believe it" gold. It never sounded ridiculous coming out of his mouth.

This whole time I found out the term Wesen is pronounced with the W sound and not the V sound in English so this would mean they are called Wesen to us and in German it would be pronounced Vesen but spelled with a W bc they don’t have a W sound
The way they mangled the pronunciation, it would be spelled "Wessen" in German... As much as I enjoyed the very idea of the series and how they played it out, the (obviously deliberate) f*cking up of the pronunciation turned me away very quickly. Nails on chalkboard would have been more bearable...

You either had a ring side seat to the filming or you couldn't go home foe several hours. The street would have been blocked off for 8 hours or so to film scenes. Over Here we occasionally get news alerts that areas will be closed due to filming and the hours the area is closed. It's mostly the highways for Hawaii 5-0, or other shows that use local locations.

This show looks lame af tbh, I saw another video of this show where a regular human ( it was black dude, a cop I think) they were in a barn after some guys daughter was taken hostage, he dead ass punched one of those things in the face and instantly beat it. Like wtf? I would watch the show if those things actually had real power, or the Grimm guy was actually like a bad ass that was super strong and fast. but the grimm guy honestly is just slightly above average than other humans, like the power levels of supernatural beings in this show is nowhere near the power levels of supernatural beings in say The vampire diaries, or the originals, teen wolf, being human, bitten, Lucifer, the gates, penny dreadful, heroes, witches of east end, smallville, supernaturals, etc. It just seems like 90% if not all of the supernatural beings in this show are just as vulnerable to death as average humans. Like a regular human should not just be able to punch one of the wesen in the face and just KO it, I wish the budget for this show was better, the cgi was better, and those things actually had like full on werewolf transformations like in underworld and the grimm guy had like actual substantial powers like superman does, not as op as superman, but just like super tough skin, the ability to lift things at least as heavy as cars, and could run with say the speed of the vampires in the twilight movies, because I am an actual supernatural movie and tv show fanatic, and I just think this show could be so much better than it is, sees like a low budget corny cw show.
