- Hello everyone,
after a long period without posting, here I am with a new style of quick and easy tutorials around healthy baking, healthy desserts and healthy lifestyle.
Today I am sharing with you how to make a healthy homemade almond milk. It's delicious, easy, healthy and cheaper if you use the residue or almond pulp as almond meal in your next cake, cracker, cookie or smoothie recipes.
All you need is 150g almonds and 600ml filtered water.
Soak the almonds in normal water for at least 8h and store them in the refrigerator during this time. For digestability reasons use blenched almonds or remove the skin after soaking them. You can also cook them quickly in hit water to remove the skin before soaking them.
Toss that soaking water and place the almonds in a liquifier, blender or kitchen machine together with the 600ml of fresh filtered water. Blend well for a minute or two. You can also add flavor into it, adding vanilla extract for example.
Strain the milk through a nut milk bag, or a cheesecloth or a dish towel and place it in a sterilized glass bottle.
Don't forget to keep the almond pulp! You can even freeze it!
Enjoy and share with us if you made this recipe in the original version, or if you have added any flavor and how did it taste!
Have a great sweet week,

Around 2 weeks.

No def not😂
You a use as a spread, filling or to give flavor or add protein to some recipes like oat meal, smoothies, cookies and so on.

Better to remove peel _ prior to blending
Yes , it is! I've tried with and without and it is definitely better without. Thank you for your suggestion!
