    this guy's got an interesting accent. Up front I hear some sort of germanic or scandinavian tone, but there's a mix of some other things in there, too...

    They are not simply decorative, they have a purpose. a tie tack is used, like a tie clip, to prevent the tie from moving, especially when you bend forward. The tie pin can be used for that purpose too, but it's primary use is to secure a cravat or an ascot as the knot is loose and can come undone with time.

      skarmarl yep that's called a collar bar. It goes through the wing of the collar, under the tie, and through the other collar wing.

      When you have a vest, you don't need a tie tack

    I have a practical question. Can we wear a collar pin and a tie pin at the same time? In the years 1920-1950 was also worn like that?

  • @MrTurndown10s
    @MrTurndown10s 5 лет назад

    The pin should be used to produce a flounce, by pushing up the front section first:
    look atthe way they are worn by the Royal Princes.

    Ich verstehe nicht, warum man die Nadel auch durch das Hemd stechen soll. Eine Krawattennadel soll vor allem gut aussehen, und dazu langt es, daß man die Nadel nur durch die Krawatte sticht. Dazu nimmt man dann eine Sicherung ("bulldog"), so daß man die Nadel nicht verliert. So, wie Sie es gezeigt haben, verliert man die Nadel.
