Yes 65s because of the higher wattage have a nice clarity to them and more of a punch for sure. The 25s I should have had the bass up alot more for the comparison. 65s i run my bass around 2 on my amp but the 25s I could probably run the bass around 5 or so.
They sure are! A 100 watt super lead into a 4x12 cab with 25 watters would compress way to much and be a tad bright for the BIB album but 65s work perfect!
I recently sold the 4x12 as just didnt need it anymore and was tired of lugging it around as the 2x12 way easier lol. Yes I did run them both together and a few of my videos on my channel is probably them together. Both good cabs. I liked the tight bottom of the 25 watt speakers in the 4x12 but overall liked the 2x12 with 65s more as the 25s were really crispy and more treble. The 65s are abit smoother and warmer sounding but cut great. They do have a healthy bottom though so have to run the bass knob low.
@@KyleSG88 AWESOME! thanks for the Advice! i have a 4x12 with the G12-65s and thought about putting (2) greenbacks in there with them. Not sure on the mix cabs. Some love them and some hate them
@@steveheckman4194 Yeah I am sure 2 green backs what be cool to try and help balance out each other doesn't have. V30s are also a good mix with 65s as well lots of people say on an x pattern.
They are a touch louder maybe. Although i had a 2x12 vs 4x12 cab here but nothing crazy. Just means you move your volume knob. Or in my case a post phase inverter volume on the back of the amp.
65 watts is louder, a 65 watt speaker isnt they just handle more volume. Some of the loudest speakers are alnico blues but are only rated for 15 watts. Any of the m magnet speakers are quieter than H or alnico celestions regardless of wattage, higher wattage speaker just allow a louder amp (more watts) without blowing the speaker.
Hey man, i must say this is one of the best tones i have heard on RUclips!
Glad you liked it!
et-65 are great speakers. I to have both. still can’t decide which I like best. 65 sound a little clearer with the less mids. great playin.

Yeah the 25s atleast the ones in mine have a nice bite to them but I find them alittle fizzy and not as smooth on the top end for my taste.
i keep going back to my g12 65’s just the perfect amount of mids and work so well with so many amps i tried them with. great vid
@@p7g498 Thanks!
@@KyleSG88 Nice Demo Man
Love the SG! Rock On!
Some of the greatest tones I’ve heard. Crispy and raw. What pickups are in that guitar?
Cheers!

@@KyleSG88 Just ordered one 👍
Both great, 25 sounds more 70s acdc. I have also the 65 at home😊
M25 sounds more natural and pleasant for me. 65 bites more and are a little bit polish
Love the G12-65 sound. Perfect Back in Black album tone.

Great comparison Have you ever ran the 2x12 and 4x12 at the same time?

Is 65 watts much louder that 25 watts, some people people say there's not much of a difference in volume.
