TLR, AE or Tekno - Which one and why?? 🤔
Not AE. At the same time, you forgot to include XRAY. Tekno is great...but, they only do 4WD (no 2WD, which kinda sucks). For dirt/clay, it's an even toss-up between TLR & Tekno. For astro/carpet, while TLR is a very good choice, XRAY is where it's at, as they REALLY 'know' astro/carpet.
AE
Tekno for 4wd AE for anything 2wd
Mugen Seiki, why cause I plan to get their 1/8 Truggy at some point to race at my local outdoor track.
Tekno EB48 2.0 for the win
There is nothing like opening a new top shelf kit you can assemble yourself. It is a Big part of the hobby, and i just love it.😄
So true! It's a shame that 80% of people in RC have never built a kit.
Thanks Rich!
I’m partial to yellow, and Team Associated, as my first RC10 stadium truck kit had yellow wheels. Watching a young Brian Kinwald, tear up local SoCal tracks, was always a reminder......the weakest link...is usually the driver!
Never owned a Losi😎
It's weird - I always thought AE drivers had to use white wheels and TLR had to use yellow...then I saw Cavalieri (when he was with AE) running yellow (as he does now). I agree on the driver part!
Awesome man looking forward to this build, so much value and extras in this kit.
There's something special about building a kit....I wish more hobbyist would experience it
Can't wait to see when you have it all together great review as always. 👍🏻🔥😎🔥🤙🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for watching DC2
Love to open a new kit especially a great quality one. Yellow for bash white for race. Great to have ur vids back.
Thanks for watching Ryne - opening kits are always the best!
Informative as usual Rich.....can't wait for the build!
Thanks buddy!
You're perfectly welcome! RC 4 Life! Each one teach one!
I could've sworn I heard Angels sing when that box opened, haha. Looks nice! I'm looking forward to this being my 3rd TLR buggy (after the 22 5.0 DC Elite and 22X-4) later this year.
Thanks for watching....maybe next time, I'll edit in angels 😁
finally...feel like beening waiting for years! awesome!
I know, huh>? A good TLR 8th scale here!
@@TheRCNetwork install review running vedio please
For me it doesn't matter . What ever I get, I use it. Just the fact that wheels are in the box is Awsome. Who has extra money these days to say I only run white wheels. Great unboxing buddy. I always look forward to your videos. I hope soon you will unbox the long awaited Tekno Et 48 2.0
I agree on the extra money these days....thanks for watching....and yes, I'm already planning on the ET48 2.0....stay tuned!
Can't wait to see the next episode. ;)
Should be out next week...building now!
Beautifull, ... can't wait to see this awesome quality beast !! I love your Dr Dre Style music now !! :)
Thanks Jason - always a fan of the OG Dr. Dre!
Fastest wheels are white RC10 dyed with Rit. The original Losi orange wheels were fast too!
Orange would be cool!
Nice. Yellow 🙂
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
Tekno FTW!!!! Built like a tank!!!!
I'm pretty fond of tekno...but this one looks great!
White wheels, nice to see a build.. 💪
Thanks for watching, RD!
That looks like a sweet buggy!
Thanks Buddy! What project are you working on these days?
@@TheRCNetwork putting aluminum gearboxes on the slash right now, but I think I want to build a moa crawler next.
@@TheRCNetwork I looked online last night for wraithzilla stuff, but everything I wanted was out of stock. This pandemic has been harsh on the supply chain.
Yellow of course.✔️😂
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
YELLOW!!!
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
They might do a little bit of machining after work but those internal differs are definitely sintered powder metal.
I can't find anything that states otherwise...but typically you'll find sintered "pot metal" in $300 RTR's not $650 race buggies....When I stated that, I was referring to the bevel/pinions on the diffs....now the spider gears, not sure
@@TheRCNetwork oh okay yes the ring and pinion are definitely machine. You can tell sintered powdered metal from machine metal because powder metal parts will have rounded edges because they're coming out of a mold. CNC machine parts will have sharp corners.
Also not all sintered parts are pot metal. Most powdered metal used in RC's today is actually steel and a lot of it's hardened. It's still not as good as CNC machine parts but it's a lot better than pot metal.
@@DoRC Great info!
Yellow wheels are always faster, at least a second a lap
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
Yellow 👍🏁
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
Ive got a HK BZ888 and it's been a tank this looks to be better.
Yep, that buggy is a tank - I had one, way back when. But there is something about a top quality kit build!
Yellow whells it's well known.
Also each sticker add point 72 miles per hour per sticker.
Stickers do make you faster!
Yellow duh lol, Ive got every generation nitro and electric, I’m writing a video on why Losi is the general best 1/8th in the industry, 13 years ago I was first one in Canada to have a “put together” brushless system and conversion from a guy online for my Losi 8ight T rr generation 1.
Been working on a way to let people know the difference between machined aluminum and cast aluminum...
Nice! Send me a link to that when you're done - I'd love to watch that.
How can I tell the difference between machined aluminum vs cast!? I buy a lot of hop up parts but never thought about this. I bet GPM is using cast. Do you think Hot Racing and Losi Racing aluminum parts are also cast. My M2C parts I believe are machined.
yellow wheels are the fastest and cool
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
Defend point D! .......
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
When do you plan on doing an updated k6s exb video? :o
Probably not for a bit....I have this kit and 2 other kits I'm working on, plus endless other projects
I’m converting a Losi 1/8 2.0 nitro to electric and need a new body. Nitro body won’t fit e setup. Any suggestions what body will fit the 2.0?
You'll have to dig around and see what's available still for a 2.0. TLR is now on the 5.0 version. Pro-Line and JConcepts probably had bodies at one point....The TLR buggies are always wider bodied cars, so likely the Mugen/Team Associated bodies may fit as well
Black Wheels will beat those colors anytime! It doesn’t have to waste energy reflecting any light, so it can put it all into turning, right?
hahaha - great points! 😁
Nice car.
Thanks for stopping by, Mark!
@@TheRCNetwork No problem :) I need to get my old Team Durango DEX8 up and running for some bashing. I want to buy a few cars to build and display, I enjoy the building of them. This kit looks brilliant. I like all the quality metal parts.
Waiting on the truggy....btw yellow wheels are faster ; )
The Truggy will be epic!
We all know yellow wheels are known to be fast but lets be honest Ryan Mayfield makes it really hard to accept that.
Mayfield def. makes a point on white wheels!
Yellow naturally
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
Yellow wheels for sure
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
Pink wheels are fast, facts
That might be true!
yellow DUH
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
Yellow wheels for sure. Especially TLR wheels lol
The TLR's are quite nice....not your typical cheap plastic wheel
Yellow is faster👌
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
yellow cuz i root for the underdog
Nice!
I prefer white over the yellow but I don't think that one is faster than the other
I've always been a white wheel guy....but maybe that will change
0:02 _Which is faster, white or yellow wheels?_ Not sure, but they both look equally hideous to me. :-D
I can't do yellow.....
x is the roman numeral for 5, and its the 5 gen tlr buggy
😬 - actually "V" is the number 5.....
😂
V is five
YELLOW
Yellow
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
Dirt is so obvious on my white wheels. That’s why Tamiya made pink ones
Very true on white wheels...especially clay
White & tekno
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
Yellow on losi.
White
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
Everybody knows when it comes to racing... red is fastest 😉
😂
Yellow is always faster.
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
I think its the 5th 🤔.... I have the 8ight E 4.0 and I think the XE was the next gen ... Probably wrong without consulting the Google
It is the 5th.....so why "10" or "X"?
@@TheRCNetwork That's a good question lol I think losi has had a "X" designation in a lot of their car titles over the years.
Its the 5.0
But X means 10 in Roman numerals.....
@@TheRCNetwork X is being misused
Yellow wheels are the fastest wheels.
White is faster no doubt.
Nice! Thanks for watching! 😃👍
Yellow makes it faster
I'm starting to see that as a trend in the comments!
Yellow wheels are fooster
yellow is faster, extra 5 HP
#Yellowwheelsarefaster
Possibly
Yellow is definitely faster
That might be true......
5th generation
X is ten.....
@@TheRCNetwork eight, eight 2.0, eight 3.0, eight 4.0, eight x and eight x elite. I stand by my 5th generation. 👊
"V" is five in roman numerals if that's what you're thinking.....Maybe "5.0" is a registered trademark of Ford? Who knows......but "X" didn't really make sense. Just like how Apple had the iPhone, iPhone 3G/S, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and then X. At least that meant "10"
White wheels are faster, but I’ll be damned if black wheels aren’t the fastest. 😆
This could be true....
Neither...blue is best. 🤙🏽
😂
WHAT!? They dont even give you any blue paint? #loosers
I know, huh?
