in the future, put a block under the back and use the bucket to lift all wheels off the ground. You can then move/drive the wheels without moving the bobcat. Had the same thing happen to me on a 30 degree slope; it sucks but you did it. Great job.
My old man always tried to impress on me the need to work smarter not harder ... This is not in anyway and example of that. Lol but you stuck with it good video to watch this morning with my coffee in hand.
Looked like a rough job. Good for you for getting after it. Nice videos man. How are you finding the tracks after having them for a while? I'm thinking about getting the same ones. Thanks.
Take short pieces of 1/2 rebar , about 3 inch long slightly bent and weld the along the lip of your outer rim on both sides . Then mount the tires back on. This will protect your tires from getting taken out from the tracks.
Great video, its impossible to find videos with this kind of content. some reason most information regarding skid steer maintenance is forbidden:) you have a lot of patience...i would've been using some choice words.
Jason, wait till you see me trying to rebuild my Control valves..... with 200 o-rings. Video coming soon..... or me loading it onto a trailer and taking it to a bobcat repair shop. Not sure which it is going to be when I'm done.
You seem to be a really nice young man, but it’s easy to see your a fish out of water. At least your trying, the important thing is that you learn from the mistakes you make. There are things that will make your life much easier, leverage taking off those lugs by using a cheater bar on the end of your breaker bar is one. There are many such things you need to learn. Buy a cordless impact gun and when you can use a wrench instead of an adjustable wrench, their mechanisms can break under force, l know because it’s happened to me. Good luck and keep learning.
Thanks for the Feedback Al... You are right! I learn new things everyday and not afraid to get my hands dirty. I make a lot of mistakes along the way. Thanks for the tips and feedback.
SkyWater Haven no problem, the best way to learn is making mistakes and learning from them. That’s the way we all learn. Nothing attempted, nothing gained. Don’t get discouraged by what people say, most of them can’t do what you’ve done. I’ll be interested in seeing more of your videos. You guys doing these videos is something I can’t do, barely can figure out how to send these messages to you, I didn’t grow up in the computer age being 72 yrs old. Keep up the learning, it will serve you well one day.
Just take track off and put tire on pick up track in front bucket. Throw tools in and drive up to house to finish repair. I would have driven it back to house first thing. Then do repair where tools are handy

Tracks work great, but tear up anything you want to drive over, especially grass. I'm going to sell these and get a set of tracks with pads instead.

up here is Maine we use comealongs for this repair, split track in one area only...foam the tires
Thanks for the feedback. I think I will try that next time.

I have a 6.5 HP air comp and a couple hundred feet of air hose BUT I also have several Co2 bottles with regulators set at 125 lbs

I got to give you a lot of credit, you stuck with it.
Great series! And fantastic ending on your review on the first one!
Glad you liked it!
if you use air filled tires invest in a air pig with a ball valve to blow air into side of tire real quick. unless sidewall is ripped.
Even either and fire and blow the bead on
Maybe a 12v travel air compressor to plug into your skid steer? It will be slow, but better than lugging the air tank back & forth.
Damn dude, you need a ATV to run you back and forth to the house to grab tools that you need.

That looked like a miserable job haha
I was just glad I found a place to repair the tire on a Sunday.
you have to much slack in your track and you can put a rachet on that tool
why didn't you drive it back to the house
dewalt battery impact
just because it's the wrong machine for that job and terrain
Diesel.creek did this job and he. Do. A much better job
I wish you had a mule Kawasaki
