The best video for a double flare on RUclips.I watched over 30 .They don't show you the part about measuring the tube with the side of the adapter. Most showed me to make it the whole length of it, and the filing part is better.I tried 10 times got 1 good flare and broke my crappy Pittsburg tool adapter.

I'm glad to know there is an easier tubing now available for making brake lines. This stuff may have been on the market for a long time, but I just didn't know it. It use to be if you looked and seen a copper brake line on a vehicle, you knew that it had been Jerry Rigged in other places.
When making steel lines , I would usually heat the end with a flame to help aneal it between crimps. Always had problems with it splitting the flare without a little heat.

I look at double flare as making a "crush washer" fitting to seal better

I bought some copper nickel (so they say) 1/4" tubing off of Ebay. How can I be sure it is Nicopp tubing?

What if you have to flare the line while it's on the vehicle? such as the line running down from the master cylinder that doesn't need replaced. I guess I would have to remove it from the vehicle to flare it?

No you can take the tools to the car. I put it in the vise so it would be easier to video.

I never knew brake lines were double flared into I redid them all on a tug and filled the master cylinder up with brake fluid and they all dripped a little because I single flared them all. lol now I know why the double flared means

The new "in-car" double flare tools are a game changer (Capri). Smaller tool, self centering die insert, & perfect flares everytime.

Pretty good video sir. I never even heard of a double flare before. Ive never replaced any brake lines either. I learned how to do flares when i went to community college. I was doing flares on soft copper,im sure its a little different with this material. Thank you.

Just redid the lines on my car without a file or deburring tool. It's definitely *possible* to deburr with a knife like I did but uh...this way looks easier
