"...And Shamrock was standing there grinning, he didn't give a f*ck"
Sounds exactly like what he would do too 🤣🤣
He smiled at the validation of the power of MMA training.
🤣🤣🤣 Dude, I love Ken Shamrock
Shamrock was interviewed and he said Blackman was legit
Shamrock wanted to see someone get messed up !
@@gerardmurphy8278 This story alone makes him legit
Steve Blackman, a living example of "Walk softly, and carry a big stick".
How so? He got a massive hog between his legs or something?
Oh nevermind. The kendo stick. Duh.
@@BigDubaYaruclips.net/video/yQj-W8P5igA/видео.html
@@BigDubaYaboth
It's actually "Speak softly and carry a big stick." But walk could work as well.
I will never tire of stories involving JBL getting his ass handed to him in a shoot.
Same here, Joey Styles too is hilarious 😂😂
@@ajmoore2201Now, that one was unexpected. You expect Steve Blackman to whoop his ass. But, Joey Styles...you expect him to do his taxes and then apologize for taking so long to do them. Lol. But, he showed he wasn't one to be messed with.
@@DXChrisCrossStocky Balboa baby!!!
Not only did he beat his ass but he also made him apologize in front of everyone! God this is gold.
I get Bradshaw credit for being man enough to do it
@@davestuddaman8127 nah he only apologized cuz he didn't want to get whooped on again 😂
@@cerebralfanatic that's why most people apologize my friend 🤣
@@davestuddaman8127 so no need to give him credit like he was taking the high road lol
@@cerebralfanatic most people run away like cowards
I'm beginning to think all those Chuck Norris jokes are actually based on Steve Blackman
Blackman hurt his knee after winning the first match in brawl for all, Marc Mero is a multi time golden gloves fighter and Blackman just keeps taking him off his feet like nothing. Bart had a good left hand but Blackman would've taken him apart.
@@cb3648 I get it: never mess w a Blackman
"I didn't even know I was in a fight until he already hit me nine times." - Actual quote from Bradshaw about the fight and Blackman's skills and speed. lol
That's not even skill. It's something that is taught in self defense classes. Pick a spot where you hit a person and stay there because they will go down hard.
@@TheTalk23spot-on, if you punch someone in the thigh in the same spot softly enough times that will hurt😅
@@TheTalk23 Most self-defense classes are money-making schemes that are structured so that the students feel like action heroes. No competent instructor would teach something that gets people killed. There was a famous case of a woman who was murdered while jogging. The man who killed her was later apprehended. Her family insisted that it couldn't have been just one man, because she was a martial arts expert and would have fought him. The killer heard this and was like, "Yeah, she did fight. She should have run." But people won't spend 3 to 6 months training (and paying) to get the next color belt for their gi if they're taught that running like hell is the best way to survive.
Ken Shamrock said that Steve Blackman ws the only one that could take him in a striking match. That's exceptionally high praise coming from someone as decorated as Shamrock, given that the only person could match Shamrock in his stand-up -- at the time -- was Don Frye.
@@billywashere6965but that's in the context of shamrock being a wrestler first, striker because he had to learn it
But yeah still extremely high praise for a former UFC champion to admit he would lose anything to someone else
Al Snow sounds like hes talking thru a boxfan
Lmfao, perfect
😂😂😂😂😂
Cigarettes
Steve Blackman doesn’t fight people, he eliminates them from existence.
He's a notorious farter backstage. Gross
Must’ve fought his own personality
Yoooo are you a fellow wrestling bios fan??
Literally the Chuck Norris of wrestling
Steve and I had dinner with (our gfs at time were friends)….hes now a bail bondsman for our local court (live here in HBG PA)… I asked hom at dinner what one guy would you bring in a real fight w you at the time..he said Kurt Angle!! Also said HHH is a total p*ssy!!!
This story is hilarious because Steve Blackman was like a huge dose of karma for Bradshaw. If you bully people eventually you pick the wrong person and get your ass handed to you.
Nailed It! Salute
Apparently Joey styles was the wrong one too lmao
@@rebelyankeesshow5686 lol 🤣 I still laugh about that one too.
@@5150crazyfun it's a great story but has it 100% ever actually been verified by anybody? did anyone see it firsthand?
@@johnnybeefumWell there’s Al Snow, val Venis and even Bradshaw himself
I stumbled upon Blackman in a Rite Aid a few years back. We had a very cordial, 5-minute, conversation. Obviously, he wasn't there to talk to me and I was a little bit concerned about detaining him from his business, but he never acted like it bothered him at all to talk to a fan. In fact his girlfriend showed up and ask him to move along, but instead he introduced me to her and told her some of the conversation we had just had. He even ended the conversation by thanking me for recognising him. I hope that doesn't break the image of him carried by almost everyone.
😉👌
That makes me respect him even more honestly. Bad SOB capable of kicking anyone's ass, but still has time to be kind to his fans. He is my hero for sure
Cool story bro
Doesn't ruin him at all. Always heard he was a nice guy but someone you did not want to cross.
@@MrShadowbite most of the more capably violent people I've known have been like this.
Saw him at a GameStop too lol
Al Snow saved a child from drowning. He is a hero.
They didn't call him the lethal weapon for nothing. Not only did he know how to fight, dude was jacked too. Very intimidating man Steve Blackman was/is.
Was always a fan of Blackman and this story makes it even better. Bradshaw getting a dose of karma never gets old. Let’s not forget Bart Gunn knocking Bradshaw unconscious in the Brawl for All.
I think the larger # is people who haven't drilled JBL in the face.
Don't forget Joey Styles
@@davidgraham8299 I don’t know that one! Please share when you get a chance
@@Chris-qv5mc- 2008, during a returning flight from Iraq. JBL had been harassing and bullying people all week and started with Styles, who punched him in the eye so hard that they had to cover it up with makeup for the next show.
@@daschwah hahaha outstanding! You’d think getting punched in the face so many times would have knocked some sense into Bradshaw at some point.
Blackman is one of the most underrated badasses of wrestling.
Everytime I hear Bradshaw get handled and beat down after trying to be a bully warms my heart......You dont mess with Steve Mufuggin Blackman. Al Snow steps in seconds from Bradshaw eating the Mufugg Kick.....and there would have been no more Bradshaw.
And the thing is..he was warned constantly by Blackman not to play that shit. But Bradshaw remembered he was Bradshaw and did it anyway and he was on the wrong end of an ass kicking. You've gotta have the brains of cow manure to try and get cute with Steve Blackman.
You want a war? You're gonna get one
Cold as Ice!
Willing to sacrifice!!!!!!
Bradshaw would've been saved if Jackie or a giant robot showed up and distracted Blackman.
Blackman is a legit badass his martial arts pedigree is immense
If Shamrock tells you to watch out for someone theyre dangerous!
WWF should have kept Steve Blackman, Dan Severn, and Ken Shamrock together and make them all heels.
They would have needed a mouthpiece but heck yes, believability factor would have been through the roof!
Jim Cornette would have been a great mouthpiece
That would've been one hell of a team! ... J
The universe would've collapsed having that much badass contained inside that wrestling stable.
They wanted to it with Dan but he wasn't having it. They wanted him to wear some kind of satanic garb but as he said, he was from a small town and didn't need the publicity.
What part of Bradshaw looked at Blackman and went “yeah, that’ll be light work.”
Met Steve at the Wrestlemania pre-show years ago, and he’s one of the scariest people I’ve ever seen in person. He doesn’t even exude a badass vibe, just one that suggests he could casually rip your arms off at the stump if he were compelled to do so.
From memory Bradshaw wasnt the only one who tested Blackman so did Vader unless im conflating someone else.
@@MrRjh63 Vader and some other guy bullied Blackman in Japan during the late 80's. Blackman didn't fight back because he promised his family he wouldn't get in to any more altercations, just do the 6 weeks in Japan, suck it up and go home. After he recovered from malaria years later, he looked for Vader with the intention of beating the shit out of him, Vader apologized.
And aside from his Martial Arts fighting skills, Steve is jacked, super strong. We saw his grappling skills in the Brawl For All and how he tossed Marc Mero around with ease. Was a bodybuilder before he became a wrestler. Looked like Incredible Hulk before he had Malaria but still regained much of the muscles back.
He was one of my favorite hardcore wrestlers even tho he was low to middle card guy loved those sticks that he used the attitude era had some many great characters most of the lower tier guys would be superstars in the WWE today the guys who wrestler now can’t compare at all to the attitude era a guy like Test (RIP) would be better than Roman Reigns
@MrRjh63 You're thinking about Big Show, who also thought he could bully Blackman for some reason, and -- from his back -- Blackman managed to do a takedown on Big Show.
Never mess with Steve Mufuggin Blackman
Also, people don't know, but Al Snow is a bad arse himself
He saved lives off the coast off Florida great story that I read last year
Bruce Prichard says that the office heard about the incident at the airport and they went to question Bradshaw about it and he said something like "He was so fast he hit me a dozen times before I even knew what the hell was going on"
The more I hear about Blackman the more I like him. I always liked him as a kid but these stories just make him seem that much cooler
Steve hit him with the Muffug kick
Steve is from my hometown. Still has an mma school. Was very important in growing the mma scene in central Pennsylvania when it took off. Also one of the few guys my uncle who was a tough mf, wouldnt make fun on when he saw em on tv. He said he was absolutely a bad ass. Known well in the area before he made it to wwf. I believe he bounced at bars and clubs in area before. He does bail bonds now I believe... good dude
See....the end of that story is how you know absolutely what a bad ass Blackman is.
He spent his life as a martial artist, pro wrestler, and brought MMA to Pennsylvania...then when he got too old for all that he retired to a quiet life of bail bondsman where he will routinely need to track down and bring real life bond jumpers in.
That's how he slowed down in life...
Does he ever do seminars? I'd love to check one out
Bro I seen him at Giant a few months back. He looks so much bigger in real life than he did on TV.
Also howdy neighbor 🙂
@@OfficialAmputatedStumps The one on Penn Ave?
Steve Blackman is an honorary member of the Wu Tang Clan.
Blackman officially withdrew from the Brawl for All due to injuries during training, but I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled out after seeing what a shitshow it was
The attitude Era was primarily on who could do interviews and secondly wrestling. Blackman wasn't a promo guy and it hurt his push. If Blackman was wrestling today, he would be the biggest name with a mouthpiece like Heyman
Could you imagine Blackman vs Malackai Black or Matt Riddle? Those would have been money matches.
Al Snow's voice is vibrating my phone, haha.
I love al snows interviews..could listen to him all day
Met Al in person in Chicago very impressionable & super storyteller 💯
Not with that voice, that sounds nothing like him
@acehunter3229 he's gone very raspy did he have something wrong with his throat
I couldn’t with his voice screwed up like that.
@@peterl2017 I knew a guy with throat cancer once that's the way his voice went.
Steve Blackman was one of my faves as a kid and this story is amazing, it’s like WWF had Chuck Norris on tap almost. Just a shame he didn’t get pushed more, he was amazing to watch!
headcheese was the most underrated tag team
"Mister Prichard, I was hit about fifteen times before I realized I was in a damn fight!"
I saw Steve Blackman buying a game for his son? Grandson? At a local GameStop in central pa a few years ago. Didn't say anything cause even then he looked like he wanted to kill someone.
He is not like that
Blackman was kind of a low key favorite during this era. Not the best worker, but his style was fun to watch, and his "baby horse learning to walk for the first time" way of trying to show personality could be hilarious.
One of those times when you think you're a bad ass until you run into a real bad ass and realize just how badly they can mess you up. Always liked Blackman but hearing how he humbled JBL makes me like him even more.
Someone get this dude a throat soother & some warm milk...sounds like a Geth from Mass Effect 🤖
It's hard for me to understand and tolerate all at the same time
Blackman vs Meng is a shoot match we always needed.
Nah bro. Them as a tag team vs a room full of bullies.
Al Snow sounds like Kane with the voicebox 😂
times 100
Of course Ken Shamrock was there laughing while Steve whooped Bradshaw.
Al Snow you are a bloody legend
Does Steve Blackman do interviews? Itd be great get him on
Yea he even told this story himself
And if he says no you just move right along.
@@1950Grendel you mean if he says no
You pray to God that Steve Blackman won’t be annoyed for taking up one second of his time
Next you thank God that Steve let’s you walk away
After that God thanks Steve for not letting Armageddon take place
Steve thanks Haku for being far away
Be thankful in other words
Better never talk about that or else I don't wanna say what's next
Can we all agree that any story about JBL getting his ass kicked is a good thing after his bullying others?
It's always the quiet ones 😂😂😂
Haha, Shamrock just there grinning. I can just picture that sighting.
Shamrock just watching and grinning is my favorite part
Hes as cold as ice
Unfortunately, this was the same night Owen Hart died.
It's amazing how WWE couldn't do anything high quality with Steve Blackman! He was legit tough, quick and strong. They could have easily got someone who could talk to be his manager and watch him be an assassin.
James, you gotta get Blackman on the show !
Does he even do shoots? That'd be a very unique 'get' for sure!
Of all the people to mess with, Steve Blackman seems like just about the last guy anyone with a brain would choose to mess with.
Blackman is no joke. A very serious and dedicated martial artist.
Blackman was underrated as hell
I feel like this is a "stop smoking" commercial
Bullies always back down when you stand up to them.
Shamrock: Guess we know now who's the world's second most dangerous man is.
A lot of wrestlers put Blackman right up there with Haku when it comes to actually fighting.
Who tf tries a dude thats literally called “The Lethal Weapon”? 😂
See, JBL wasn't just a bully to rookie dweebs. He was fair to everyone, including tough guys who could beat his ass. Hats off to Bradshaw.
Cold as Ice? Mutha fuggin right
“The journey is usually the part that you remember anyways.” - Al Snow
Dont mess with Steve "Mufugging" Blackman. Wrestling bios taught me that 😂😂
Al Snow looks and sounds like Ted Dibase in the interview
Blackman was legit tough, proper badass.
Between this and him getting knocked out by Joey styles, JBL has really launched himself into the fake tough guy category of pro wrestling
Steve Blackman would be a good choice for a future interview on this channel.
Bradshaw looks tough and has a reputation for a bully but even Joey Styles beat him up
If that wasn’t the night we lost Owen, it would’ve been the night that they never found Bradshaw
I met Blackman and Shamrock in Wildwood NJ at a NAGA tournament. I taught Judo and JuiJitsu and had 2 students competing that day. They were nice guys as I remember it.
Al Snow one of the most underrated guys from that time frame
Blackman, Bart Gunn, Joey Styles…
Chuck Palumbo
@@roccojamison89gooker51really 😂. I never heard that one but I wouldn’t be surprised.
Moral of the story don’t mess with Steve Mufuggin’ Blackman.
"it'll never happen again"
Well, it did happen again except to guys smaller than him and it took Joey Styles tuning his ass for him to really change his tune.
Its great that joey styles can say he beat a wwe world champion in a real fight
Jbl was hammered lol if you think Joey styles could take him in a fight sober your an absolute mark 😂

Well this just made my top 10 favorite wrestling stories lol 👏
Al's voice sounds like my computer is erroring lol
Surprised Steve didn't hit that clown with the mufug kick
Great early Kane impression
Al Snow's voice has that Miley Cyrus gravel to it. I keep wanting to clear my throat. Lol
Chuck Norris wears Steve Blackman pajamas…
Wresting Bios would love this story!!!!!!
Schaaaaaweeeeet. Mr Al Snow..
It will be thumbs up for every vid.
Great interview.
The WWF locker room in 98 was totally bad ass.....Shamrock, Severn, Blackman, Bart Gunn, Doc, Godfather, Snow, Scorpio etc
Harris Twins, Godwins, Ron Simmons also to name a few, legit ass kickers
The First 3 names you just mentioned could kick the shit out of the whole locker room.
Al Snow sounds like a super villian!💯
Al needs his own podcast. Please make this happen!!!
Steve Blackman clipped Bradshaw`s nuts with that public apology 😂
Hahaha this was outstanding
I'm betting Al has a thousand of these stories. He's great!!!
al snow is always a good interview!
"WE WANT FAKE!" hahahahahahha
It was total pandemonium, a pier 6 brawl. Blackman is double-tough and he will fight a buzz saw, and give it the first two rounds. Bradshaw's face has turned into a crimson mask. We have got to get some order restored here....
A perfect example of a bully meeting his match.
Sounds like Al Snow swallowed a broken speaker
There were probably a few guys you could get away with messing with back then..Blackman was never one of them. Idk what JBL was thinking but apologizing was the right move.
Somebody get Al a glass of water...please? 😳
How many times does Bradshaw have to get his ass kicked? It happens again and again, and he seems to never learn.
Al sounds like he using one of those robot voices for people that have holes in their necks from smoking
I was at that show in State College, Pa. It was around the time BJC was built. Blackman’s home state.
WOW!!! I heard the Foot stuck in the Bag at the Port Story, I heard the Apology Story, but as far as it goes I have NEVER heard that Steve actually got Hits on Bradshaw during Port fight!!! Every time I hear this story, I just hear about Steve’s foot getting caught. First time hearing this part!!!
I've also heard multiple versions, but the Al Snow story matches what Val Venis said
Ok I DID hear Val’s story. He just said it a bit different and I forgot. 😆
Apparently Bradshaw's quote to management was "He hit me eight times before I realized I was in a fight!"
🤣🤣🤣
Bradshaw lack of shame is hilarious 😂
Al Snow sounds like early Kane 😂
