I'm a Malayali whose family lived in the Arabian Gulf since 1960s. I was born in Kuwait and so were my parents. And the amount of racism is staggering against South Asians. I genuinely wonder the root cause of this racism beacuse, from what I have understood, it existed even before the oil boom. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if a few Malayalis raised in Middle East went to ISIS as a result of identity struggle (it's also interesting to note Christian Malayalis like Merrin Jacob also went to ISIS)

Good content. I am from Kerala and may be could share few observations on why few Muslims from Kerala joined ISIS. What I did notice is that majority of those who joined ISIS were not part of any mainstream Muslim Organizations or Muslim Body, so kinda acted alone and had similar interpretation of the religion as well. They mostly relied on information from certain online clerics, so it was difficult to track them on a community stand point and hence may be IB was able to track them better. There are many other sociological reasons as well, but it would be difficult to post them all here. 😊

I'm a Malayali whose family lived in the Arabian Gulf since 1960s. I was born in Kuwait and so were my parents. And the amount of racism is staggering against South Asians. I genuinely wonder the root cause of this racism beacuse, from what I have understood, it existed even before the oil boom. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if a few Malayalis raised in Middle East went to ISIS as a result of identity struggle (it's also interesting to note Christian Malayalis like Merrin Jacob also went to ISIS)

Good content. I am from Kerala and may be could share few observations on why few Muslims from Kerala joined ISIS. What I did notice is that majority of those who joined ISIS were not part of any mainstream Muslim Organizations or Muslim Body, so kinda acted alone and had similar interpretation of the religion as well. They mostly relied on information from certain online clerics, so it was difficult to track them on a community stand point and hence may be IB was able to track them better. There are many other sociological reasons as well, but it would be difficult to post them all here. 😊
Seriously Kerala is a anti hindu state , it's a freaking communist state with socialism ideology that's why Kerala has absolutely no job opportunities , it sucks on gulf money , keralites run to other states for jobs .
