My son would love and benefit from either one! He really loves swinging and that pressure input. He regularly asks to be "turned into a taco" I'll just roll him up in a couple blankets. I found that turning him into a taco also helps when he's upset. 💙

My son would love the swing. He is 4 and has always been a sensory seeker. But the sheet might help him to sleep in his own bed longer, so either one would be awesome.
The struggle is real! Remote learning for his special education preschool is so challenging because home and mom are normally his comfort zone. It’s like pulling teeth.

Hey hey hey!!! I have two boys who would benefit from the swing because they are calm when we go to the playground and play on the swing. The compression sheet would also be beneficial as both boys have trouble sleeping and love squeezes. My oldest used a swing in clinical ot and at his old school in therapy we would have him in the swing and have him do a puzzle placing the pieces further away having him reach across himself. This helped him focus and he was calm. Helped him sleep on some occasions. I am so glad you are doing this give away and showing your life. I started a youtube channel doing the same but stopped😊.

My son has a harder time when I’m trying to teach him non-preferred activities as well. He does way better with his occupational therapist than myself for some reason . But you’re doing great with him mama.

I can relate so much with this situation. Since the school closure because of covid I have been trying to work with my son and I face the same challenges as you with him not wanting to work with me. He needs lots of breaks and reinforcers because he is nonverbal and gets frustrated but has now been able to complete most of his tasks. If I win, my first choice is the compression swing. I too got my son a compression sheet for Christmas but it wouldn't hurt to have a second one incase someone else picks the swing. Also, I wanted to share with you a cool book my son like and thought Christian might like too. They are called Polk -A-Dot books. I love your channel! Your an awesome mom!

My son is a sensory seeker like your Christian but specifically he constantly craves deep pressure. Our days consists of lots of bear hugs or I lay on him. I would love the sheet because I believe it would help him stay asleep thru the night.
He often wakes or is restless and will bam his head against his pillow to self soothe. I believe the sheet could help him feel snug and secure.
    Please consider me! 💜

Both gifts are great thank you. I would love to win the sheet first due to my son has a hard time sleeping. Ever since I took away his bottle it's been so hard to get him to go to sleep.
The swing would be nice too since my son loves it when I swing him in my arms. Having this will save my arms 😂 since he is heavy now 😂
    Mainly sheets
Thank you again for doing this

I would love the compression sheet because my son has an extremely difficult time sleeping at night. Any sound or change in temperature will wake him and once he's up it's a struggle getting him back to sleep. I was looking into getting a weighted blanket but they are sooo expensive and if I could win something for free it would mean so much 😊

*I've made it to the end of the video and it would be nice to win the swing for my son because when we go to the park the swings is the first thing he goes to but its been a very long time since he's been able to because of covid.

This is so inspiring. I recently have started trying to do somethings like pecs and working on two part instructions but my kiddo is way behind where your little guy is at. I'm just wondering how old your son is and how long you've been doing these things? I'm afraid I'll get discouraged with the slow progress and need reassurance that it's not all for nothing.

You are not alone .initially even I felt that may be it's a matter of one or two year as he will somehow catch up but slowly I realised it doesn't work like that. Its definitely a long process. Kids progress at different pace. When I started with my kiddo he was 2 ..he is almost 5 now and I am amazed at how far he has come. We still have a lot of struggles in communication and speech but I always compare him with himself few months back and not with other peers as it can be discouraging. Every small win counts in this journey. All the best for you journey....

    • @ROCKNSTIMS
      @ROCKNSTIMS  3 года назад +1

We started working on things when he was 2. Please don’t be discouraged. In the last year or so I have seen so much progress in my son. I think from all the therapy and repetition but also because he’s getting older. It may take a bit longer then you expect but our kiddos are able to do so much, the progress is just in a different time line. With patience your child will do amazing things 💙

Thanks guys for the support and encouragement. It's been a strange journey, I feel like her school completely wrote her off and in turn I did too. Then I became a teacher and was subbing I'm a class with a kid the same age and with similar autistic features as my daughter and he was doing SO many things I was told my daughter wouldn't be able to do so I literally just started working on these things recently and she's almost ten. I have a lot of guilt now because I shouldn't have listened to them when they said she wasn't capable of more. Thanks again so much, even in the last few weeks there has definitely been improvements in her abilities/understanding. Really happy I found this channel 💗💗
