I'm 23 & had this phase where I felt like I was falling behind my peers & cousins that are the same age as me. They are working & I'm still at University. But I'm feeling so much better now! Focusing on myself & we all have different journeys. God has a plan even if I don't understand.
Same here girl! I feel extremely left out especially since I've been failing at my professional exams since the past three attempts but my mother keeps reminding me that when you're facing a bad time, remember it will end too and then good times are about to come. I'm sane only because of her. ❤
I’m literally crying my eyes out right now, I just wanted to say thank you. As a 23 year old finishing my last year of university... alone in quarantine has been really scary. I’ve been forced to be with my thoughts and I’m realizing how sad I am that school is over, and how I don’t know what to do for a job yet or how my life is gonna go at all... when you said that older people have a “sense of self” you gave me the words to explain how I’m feeling right now. I have no sense of self. But thank you for your kind words, I’m going to have to breathe and realize it’s okay not to have it all figured out.

I remembered when I was in my early 20s, stressing out on trying to figure out what my calling was. I literally found my calling a year before I graduated at 25 and everything that I went through before made sense
I feel like this should be an event conference with seniors before they graduate high school going into the real world.. You'll be surprise of what this kind of motivation can do for them
The ending was so needed! "Things change but God is unchangeable" I recently turned 25 and have been struggling with hopelessness these last few weeks and needed this reminder. Thanks for sharing your wisdom ❤

This spoke to me because my confirmation scripture (which I got to choose) is 1 Corinthians 10:23, "Everything is permissible -but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible -but not everything is constructive."
I'm 48 years old and I remember those trepidations...I am only now seeing your beautiful message for the first time and I absolutely love it. It most certainly brought back memories to me. What made my time challenging was the fact that I was emancipated at 18 years in the Foster Care system. I was so overwhelmed/scared during that time because my options were limited. There were just so many hurdles but I had high expectations for myself and I knew that I needed to stay focused and persevere. I grew up extremely poor and at the very bottom of society. My biological mother was a severe alcoholic who was constantly abused by men and made fun of by other women. I was her child and my destiny was paved for me; at least, so they thought. My God, Jehovah, My Halalajhah, My Father in Heaven had other plans. Glory! I feel a preaching coming on! So many, many journies later, I look back with gratitude to know that I didn't tap out when the devil tried to influence me. Make no mistake, the devil still does but then I remember from whence I came and where I am. I remember who I am and whose I am. I am the King's Kid and when God blesses you, no weapon formed against you will ever prosper. I think you Sis for the lovely little nuggets. I wish I heard this when I was in my 20's maybe my road would have been less bumpy... who knows? Regardless, I am still here and I still have high expectations for myself. I have not manifested my purpose quite as yet but I am still determined to keep on moving forward with purpose and God's grace. Amen

I needed this video! Im 21 and a first generation college student so I pressure and push myself to the max until I’m on the verge of a mental breakdown 😩! My anxiety just pushes me to overthink and map out my life and next moves. Especially now because I’m graduating a semester early. I just don’t like not knowing stuff but it’s how life goes. You can make a plan and have goals but everything will come when it’s my time. I’ve been told your 20s are supposed to be your best years and I’m trying to live up to that.

I'm 16 and my mom isn't by my side. I almost cried cause I feel my life is rushing and I feel older than my age. I just don't want a bad future thanks soo much 😪😊
don't worry. you are just born with an old soul and it might not seem like a blessing now feeling more mentally different than kids your age but trust me it gets better and you will feel more into yourself the older you get and others will catch up. For now, you have a lot of time to focus on the things you want to achieve or learn a new skill or hobbies. Always keep your self busy and never forget to just enjoy in the moment that are good and don't stress too much on the things that don't bring you joy. the challenging things are all just part of the ride of life and experiences and whether good or bad, it will always teach you something that you never knew before.

This. I remember my mom constantly saying oh god she's about to become a teenager. I heard it so often i just assumed that meant i was supposed to act out. If I'd never heard that i wonder if things would've turned out differently. You don't have to get married, you don't have to not get married. Do what it is you WANT to do, at the end of the day these choices will be yours to deal with.
