- U.S. Marines from Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 7, stand guard and rest in a post in Marjah, Afghanistan, June 1, 2010. The Marines use such posts to keep better control of the roads and surrounding areas in Marjah. 1/6 deployed in support of the International Security Assistance Force December 2009, and returned home July 2010. Video by Marine Cpl. Charles T. Mabry II.
They knew it would be tough so they sent the marines! ☝🏼💕
Where is our budget 😅
God bless our Marines and keep them safe. ❤️
Thank you all for your sacrifice for our freedoms - all branches! RIP, Daddy, Semper Fi.
These are men that deserve the respect of nations and generations. Thank You, Gentlemen. Job Well Done.
"That rock looks comfy."
Being an admin Marine, I give mad respect to the grunts. I gotta buddy with 2/9 who got back in early March from Aghan, heard a few stories. I always pray for my fellow Marines in harms way, even while everyone else is bitching about a 10 hr work day, traffic, clothes, etc. I also notice how if anyone has a problem with Marines they say it on the damn internet and never to our f***ing face.
Reading this comment 12 years later, how do u feel?
I've got A LOT of respects for you guys.. Thank you!
I loved that dog, she kept all evils away from us.I miss Shelby! Great starting video! Tango yankee Mac! I hope all is well! S/F ETT Guns

Oh man the dogs.... Seriously the biggest moral boost besides mail
i love it at the end how he said "haha that's awesome"
I don't give a damn if anyone disagrees with me, but I am PROUD of our military men and women. Ooh-Rah!!!
Brandon,
Typically, an infantryman will be assigned to be a working dog handler and undergo training to perform the duties assigned to that billet while simultaneously working as an infantryman.
Semper Fi,

Brings back so many memories. Thanks for posting this. Semper Fi

God bless you all.
I feel soo bad this is soooo sad... I cant believe they sleep like that....
Youre allowed to adopt dogs and cats over seas. It cost about $2000 to adopt a stray dog that was always runnin around our base.
exactly how any combat unit sleeps. any place in a corner they can find.
i love how the dog is in most of the shots
May Gods angels encamp around you brave heroes!
Ill be joining you soon brothers!
Ok man de pessoa😍😍😍💖💖💖
My brother was in this. He told me that that dog was shellshocked and was shaking most of the time. :I
i couldn't sleep with that adorable little puppy needing attention

Semper Fi to all my brothers.
Dog. What breed is it?
Karma momma dog
you had me laughing at loud.... plus Touche
Will one of you try to take that pup home with you? Its clear that it enjoys being with you.
@annasajerk yes but the bad part is , not knowing if you or any of your buddys will make it home. or if you will ever see your family again. or if they will still be there when you do get back home. that part sucks
God I miss that shit!!!!
+MrSolonmon Lol,but thank you for your service,brother
+gary mishoe And thank you for your service to,brother
My brother was there during Marjah. He said he didn't take a shower for over 30 days, everyone stunk worse then a fucking sunk in 120 degree heat. God knows it probably was 120 there... He was more concerned about a shower then getting shot....
Is 0311 the most used and filled MOS?
Props to the Marjah Marines! The biggest taliban stronghold in Aphgan was controlled by the marines. Thats why there nickname is Marjah Marines
1:43 "Get up bro! Look at this cool stick I found!"
Question. What MOS do the Marines have that they have dogs out in the feild?
Tengo a una persona alla en Afghanistan quiero mandarle un paquete me prodrias decir que es lo que mas necesitan ya que no tengo mucho contacto con el que fue lo que mas te hizo falta??
Muchas gracias......
Cute dog
Seems like everywhere Marines go, there will be a local dog who shows up and they adapt it. I served 13 years in the Marine Corps.
I am curious if soldiers ever develop insomnia from discomfort
too tired to
Soldiers maybe, but marines no.
+zack taylor lmfao! Nice one lol
i would take that dog home secretly and show my family and take care of him. i would be like hey guys look at this cool dog i found in the desert in afghan!
Ok thank you very much
Marines never have "one of those days"... Every day is shitty... Semper Fidelis
That dog is Shelby. She was a good girl, she would go out on patrol with us.
i swear i would probly never be able to fall asleep there haha
@TheConfusedDave i thought it was 90% boredom, 10% sheer terror and excitement?
Wow some of those marines are quite skinny. Skinnier than me. And I'm just a future Army who haven't even gone to Basic yet.
oooorraahh!
Its not that bad, its like camping :D hardcore camping!
chill out.. jeeze they are marines. They spent 3 months in basic and many more months in infantry training. They are exceedingly comfortable. =P
Do marines sleep with their eyes open?
daym... I miss the natural sand spice that makes all our MREs more like high class dining..w/ a touch of tobasco...
@va21kouv Oorah bro
@ICrySemperFi when i was in Afghanistan we called em fighting holes...
if a marine were to get super close with a dog out there. is it in anyway possible for him to bring it home with him?
Agreed mate
The dog at 1:15 is on a good one
This is from mabryusmc's Channel!!!!!!!!!!
@0321grunt : [Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: "We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?"; Secretary of State Madeleine Albright: "I think this is a very hard choice, but the price--we think the price is worth it." - "60 Minutes" (5/12/96)]
@Marines They dont have trailers like the US Army?
Hahaha! That's one crusty-ass uniform.
that would be dope
i beg to differ what about your hand?
ha one time few my grunts (in iraq) were sleeping like they were at 1:07 and i just took a stone and dropped it and they all freaked it was awesome
thats dog is awesome i would pay a couple grand just to have a dog with me if i was in war
shoot after patrolling the endless sea of sand all we did was sleep
Nah y’all got nice dirt to sleep on and us marines be sleeping standing up 💀💀💀
Can I have the guy at around 2:06? No seriously.
@11kungfu11 Well..This isnt a battle between soldiers...It's insurgents, and if they pick up a weapon and fire it at innocent civilians and soldiers that are training/helping the afghanistan military...They are in the wrong. I don't think you understand how the situation is, and their service is to keep innocent people safe. I'm not trying to pick a fight, just wondering what your reasons are for saying this. Also, America wasnt the only country that participated.
You can say what ever you wanna say.If you offend people then thats your own problem.
1:16 = security lol
He stands guard
thats why you guys are the biggest bad asses around !
@annasajerk It gets old really fast.
thats what fucking happens when you run 4 patrols a day in 140 degrees weather with full gear on and little food to eat. go try it sometime youll understand
lol.. it's a good thing mans best friend was there, so he could eat the part of the mre thats not so edible
@ScientificalnessUSA Do you honestly believe that half a million children, even people for that matter, have died in Iraq since the U.S. has gone into Iraq. That quote really proves nothing at all because it is all hearsay. First, "we have heard" is not a fact. The date of the comment leads me to believe that it is from the Gulf War, and we did not leave a standing military in Iraq.
Why Not?
Jason wynn jinn war
fuck sleeping in the sand. i always woke up with it in my mouth.
@causeimameaner not a soldier, a marine.
@cgrasser7075861624 They were given new uniforms, these ones just haven't been washed in a while because they're in the field.
@911USMCDevildog Yea nothing like waking up like a damn sugar cookie after sweatin your ass off rolling around in the fucking stuff. Or eatin a damn sand crunchy MRE.
@annasajerk @fretburner101 It looks awesome from the comfort of your home but it's far from awesome.
thts da cutiest dog i evr seen in my life:') man dat is a shitty place to sleep. now im seeing the downfall of being a soldier
lmao it stays where you put it.
@CChissel I am deffinitly not american, Ive traveled the world many times so iam very culturally diverse. I am sorry for the disrespect I show for people who eat out of the hands of the worlds elite. I have seen many things when I was over seas and the perfect example of what people call insurgents is pablo escobar, he done "bad things" for people in other countries but gave most of his money to his comuniity and country to the point he made huge differences. These people you >
gotta love dogs :)
It ain't all glory.
@Airbornefamily1 you wouldnt sleep during combat if thats what you mea
@julioabruno2254 You're American, in case you were unaware.
OMG A DOG I WANT IT
@ScientificalnessUSA How is this treason? The Nuremberg trials were for genocidal acts, there is no genocide in Iraq or Afghanistan. American Troops in Pakistan are there because of a natural disaster, not to wage war. Minus a few raids into the FATA region of Pakistan which is like the wild wild west crawling with AQ leadership and all of those were before any type of conventional force went into Pakistan. The same applies for the Yamashita Standard. Prisoners are not being brutally killed
Oil in Afghanistan? Hahahaha you guys crack me up
@annasajerk dream on, its fucking hell
lol thats how my dog acts :)
