I just bought a Boss ME-90 to use as my first pedal together with my Blackstar Studio 10 6L6. So much to learn, looping, finding tones, navigating the pedal board, … 😊

Congrats on the Boss purchase, I never tried one myself but it looks as though its got plenty going on to keep you busy. How are you getting on with the Blackstar? I really like this little amp... Yes, the learning curve can be pretty steep with various technologies but I find if I set aside dedicated time to go through things in a methodical fashion it helps to demystify the gear or software being used... at the end of the day as long as its fun... do keep me posted in regard to how you get on and what you learn. Best regards: Stu

Well said Stu. I had the identical experience ..moving from pedals to the Moore GE200...sold all my pedals and was ok with it for a while, but just as you said, missed that 'passion, or whatever' in the tone. I now have a mix of 3 pedals and the 200, and will probably buy a few more pedals down the road...makes for nice choices. I started this guitar journey a bit late in life, at 68,...after I retired. Best move I ever made! Thanks again for the video.

Many thanks for chipping in Bob, and it’s definitely never too late to pick up and know the joy of playing a musical instrument. I have another video on my pedal board set-up, which you may find interesting, particularly the importance of power supply and pedal configuration. I’ve a few videos to come that look at - developing tone, either through guitar, amplifier, EFX pedals or computer software choices… do keep us posted on your own choices and experiences… regards: Stu

Yeh, I really recommend a looper pedal whether for learning or just having a lot of fun overdubbing, so easy to set-up and use. Great for writing your own material.
