After a bad spell of depression and feeling suicidal at times, I've just started skating at 45 years old and am loving it. I've so much respect and admiration for the tricks you guys can pull off, the skill is unbelievable. I've been struggling to land shuv it's and its frustrating haha. I can ollie about 8 inches stationary but struggle rolling. I'm going to keep at it though, it's such an amazing feeling to skate!!
Try your shuv it’s on carpet to start. Look at the board when you spin it. Looking at the board helped me tremendously. I did probably 100 a day on carpet , then I took them out. You’ll get it.
Bro!!! You are so awesome! I have nothing but respect for you dude. Absolutely nothing but best wishes and best of luck skating my man. Sending all the vibes your way 🤙👑
The weird thing is that there was another name for the ollie kick flip in the beginning. They called it a magic flip. I honestly don’t understand why that didn’t stick. It would make trick nomenclature more simple.
Bilbo stance aint no joke. i'm riding a 9.5 shaped, so ollie kickflips are difficult (indys 169's and 56mm wheels). Been learning allot of freestyle stuff on this thing because of your videos. imma give these a try.
@@mike_osterman1 oh yeah. I never I'm my life thought I would be able to do freestyle tricks until very recently. Thank you for sharing. Getting a setup from you guys soon.
I need help Mike. This trick still evades me. I was able to learn the ollie kickflip first and worked on them at about the same time. I still land on the board upside down. Only had 1 sketch tail landing with 50 fails
Can someone please explain why it’s called bilbo? My current guess is that it has to do with bilbo surfboards, but I’d love for someone to set me straight.

@@mike_osterman1 it just made me think "if bilbo skated that would defo be his stance as he set out on an adventure"
