- Tiramisu Cake Recipe
Chocolate sponge cake
3 egg whites
a pinch of salt
80g sugar
3 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract
55g cake flour
25g cocoa powder
25g oil
25g milk
Bake at 160C for 40 - 45 minutes
Coffee syrup
75ml coffee
20g sugar
1 tbsp rum / whiskey (optional)
Mascarpone cream filling
3 egg yolks
50g sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp rum / whiskey (or milk)
5g gelatine leaves (bloomed 15 minutes in cold water and drained)
250g mascarpone
300ml heavy cream
20g sugar

Just made this cake and i must say im impressed. Very tasty and it actually tasted like real Tiramisu. My family said the same. And the cake is very light so you can eat a piece without being so full it feels like you cant eat in 3 days.

Question: Is this also possible without the gelatine?
Hi. If you want to make it without gelatine, you need to remove the egg yolks from the mascarpone cream filling and whip the heavy cream longer until 70%whipped. Then the cream will be studier and can hold its shape better.

Is there a reason why my cake doesn't rise? I've tried doing the cake twice, it always comes out dense and dry 🙃
You might have deflated the whipped egg whites too much. You must be gentel while combing whites with the rest of the mixture. You can try to firs combine the yolks with powders and milk and add the whites at the end. You can also fold everything with the spatula and not with the mixer. If it's too dry try to reduce baking time or use one more egg or less powder.

Hi. You can substitute 1 gelatine leaf with 1 tsp gelatine powder and substitute cocoa powder with all purpose flour.

Hi! I tried this recipe yesterday but I had two issues. The egg mixture just was not thickening up when I put it over Brian marie. what could the reason be? Also, my cream mixture at the end did not come out that smooth but Im guessing it was maybe because I whipped the cream too much.

I've come across a number of these ASMR baking videos with soft instrumental accompaniment. Usually I watch them late at night, as a way to wind down from the day to get to sleep more easily.
@@msr1116 exactly! I watch them too when I’m in bed cuz it does help calm me down and this channel has great videos for that, except they make me hungry when I’m watching them at like 11 pm and I just wanna go and start baking a cake in the middle of the night 😂

Hi. Thank you for the recipe. Making the cake was really made simple. However, I am not sure whether the measurements of the cake pans was correct. I used an 18 cm mould to make my cake and it was considerably thinner. I am able to cut it into two layers only, with difficulty.
