Why would anyone want to talk or make any noise when Paul McCartney is speaking and singing . Respect would be silence for this genius . Rave on Paul McCartney .
@Wayne Pitty I say what I think...you can say anything ..that doesn't matter to me .. excuse me if I make any mistake speaking english..I'm a girl from Spain...but I hope you've understood me any way. Best regards from Spain 👍😜
@@gretchennelson7056 It’s about one of his best friends who was murdered when they were young men. He is not “here today” and because of that, it is deeply personal for Paul. Deeply personal means it takes a lot of guts to get out in front of millions of people and preform it.
my older brother died at the age of eighteen from a drug overdose. it makes me think of him to listen to this song and makes me happy to have spent the first eleven years of my life with him. i love you frankie, if you're reading this. i miss you, but i love you so, so much.
Your accent tends to adapt to where you are if you've been there for a while, but when you go back to your hometown your accent can revert back quickly.
Beautiful song, brought tears to my eyes. I love John Lennon but I could never love him with the depth that Paul does. God bless you Paul. Long live John Lennon. Peace & Love. ✌️❤️
He was an incredible example of how a man can be both one of the most beloved in history and also one with such problems and difficulty with so many aspects of life that of the people who hate him one of them is his own son who he wrote one of his most famous songs about. And his son isn’t being petty… John was was a genius and made millions of lives a little bit better… but he also failed one of the people he should have put above all those millions and most would have. He’s a testament to the cost of genius and fame. If someone offered me right now the immortality, money, fame, and all the “benefits” of it that John had as well as his ability to reach so many, but it meant no matter what my son would end up resenting me the way Jude does John, I’d turn it all down instantly. You could even offer me all that except instead of a musician I’d be some kind of world famous venom scientist… and I still wouldn’t do it. I’m publishing and I’m getting my doctorate and I’m enacting my plan to save venomous snakes and fame would make me far more able to do that… but I couldn’t do it at the cost of hitting my wife or alienating my son. Not that John ever made that choice consciously at single moment. But he was inarguably deeply flawed. No less than Jim Morrison… their flaws were just… different. I wonder if John would be alive today if not for that insane stalker, my gut tells me he wouldn’t have lived much longer regardless. He was unhappy, he was angry, and he self medicated heavily in a time where there were no treatment options besides sobriety or prison and he had way too much access to unregulated and unmonitored “medication”. It might not have been as dramatic as an OD, but he wouldn’t have lived to a ripe old age… and he may have become an object of resentment in that time. We’ll never know… but he may also be an example of someone who burnt out rather than rust. In the words of Neil Young.
Omg Paul can still hit those high notes ... Gorgeous song. I think of John saying to Paul just sing it out of the top of your head .... And he still does.
So you reckon Paul McCartney's got a blowhole at the top of his head, like a dolphin or a humpback whale? I think you're getting your mammals mixed up there, mate 😋
Such an unselfish expression of his pain and love for John. Perfect example of why we should tell the ones we love that we love them. You never know what tomorrow might bring
I find this incredibly emotional to listen to, watch and to play his songs on the guitar and sing... especially the song 'Dear Friend' nobody can sing this better than Paul
A unbelievable tribute to john from paul i lost my younger brother in 1993 and i miss him everyday its sad that they never got to work with eaçh other again and im sure they would have and unfortunately we were all robbed of that so very sad thank you paul for that song
So so so Beautiful and lovely song and the sentimental voice of Paul makes cry anybody and love them more and more! precious history a really treasure !
It's hard to Tell People Sometimes how much you love them AND You Did it Paul you Told John & The Rest of The World You Love Him, Just Like We all Still Do 👍

I think his accent got a little thicker while talking to Liverpool.

This song takes on a more universal tone; saying you love people before it's too late. That's why he's a great songwriter.

Seen him in 2022 same bit. Must be how he rememberers his set
At some points for these big shows he has to cater to the first-timers in the crowd. And what's a more fitting tribute than 'Here Today'?
