So true. Honestly, aside from all the, he said, he said....yawn, crap, Who the hell can sing like that? Jack , to me has one of THE most recognizeable voices of the late 80's early 90's that is so unique. It stands on its' own. The rest is just the same rock and roll story we've all heard from so many bands. pure talent, however unfortuantley lost in a haze at the bottom of a bottle or the drugs that were readily available. I ran into this band because the bar I was working on Maui in 87',someone had forgot their cassette with " Rock Me" on my bar as I was cleaning at night. Never heard of them. I was hooked after that. Had to buy "Once bitten" as well. Was that the name of the follow up? Just great straight forward rock and roll with an unforgettable voice.

When people talk about Great White one word comes up a lot. UNDERATED! I have been a fan since the beginning. Jack Russell is on another level great ,man what a voice! Mark Kendall is another one who doesn’t get enough credit. His guitar playing is tasteful when it needs to be and lethal at the right time. So much better than some of the more popular 80’s bands. So much better! When I’m on a road trip and listen to Great White it’s a time machine👍

Best year of my life and I was 21
Was 15 and lovin' all the music from that time. These guys were at the top of my playlist! Saw them live and knew I had seen one of the best sounding live bands!

Not just underated ; The Best rock band ever ! It's hard to find a bad Great White song ! Even UFO has a lot of songs that are boring or just not really great !!!! No one combined the blues , with such smooth hard rock , as GW !!!

Not only did Great White write great rock n roll classics, in my opinion they are the greatest Led Zeppelin cover band of all time. I caught them playing a large club on Long Island back in the day. Amazing.

Damn ! Does this bring back freaking awesome memories ! Great White was one of the hottest bands of the 80's ! I still listen to them on a regular, along with a shit ton of other rockin badass bands from that era .NOTHING COMPARES !!!
I wasn't born for another 5 years, man I missed out on some real music man.
It was also more than the music. Girls in mini skirts that tasted like peaches and enjoyed themselves.
This is a small sample of what a good rock band is, giving an excellent show with style and class. Great White, one of the best bands without a doubt.
This performance is a masteclass in rock n roll. "Rock me" is the GOAT!

Edit: By the way, not sure anyone else has mentioned this but this is Great White on the night they opened for Guns 'N Roses, 2/4/88.
Unfortunately, i didn’t really get into Great White until after their prime. I knew the hits and liked them but never bought the albums. In the later 90’s I started buying their albums and realized I had missed out on one of the most under rated bands in rock. So much consistently good material.

you say the same thing I say to everyone when discussing music, i discovered how good they were when it was too late, biggest regret not seeing them live.. GREAT BAND...BIG RESPECT FOR THEM. I thought they were your average hair band and blew them off without hearing them, big big mistake

Damn it. How did I stay out of this? I only now found this band. I can't forgive myself. One of the best 80s bands I've ever seen. What voice. What an incredible guitarist. Motley Crue, Wasp, Kixx, Accept, Saxon, Manowar, Running Wild, Ted Nugent and many others have a worthy rival. Congratulations.

I saw them open for Whitesnake in ‘88, I think, at Thompson Boling Arena in Knoxville... pretty sure it was ‘88. Any way ... IT MELTED MY FACE! Only the second concert I’d ever been to.

Same. Saw them in ‘87 open up for Whitesnake at the Summit in Houston, TX. I was 12 and it was 1st concert. My mom took me, my younger brother and 3 of my friends. My brother was 9 and fell asleep during the middle of GW’s set all the way to the end of WS’s set.. and it was LOUD, wish I could sleep that good lol..good times!!

Thanks for putting this up. I first saw GW in '84 when they opened for Priest. Saw them several times on this tour and then when they co-headlined with Tesla and Badlands opened. Great White killed every time. I feel they were one of the greatest live bands and Jack Russell has been one of my favorite vocalists since '84.

I had tickets to see great white and the McAuley Schenker Group live in concert in 1988. Unfortunately for me and my friends they canceled due to health issues. Years later you guys know what happened then. Kind of makes you wonder if that could have happened when you were watching them.

Mark and Jack need to mend up some shit and bring it back together before it is too late. Great white was the best blues based rock band of the era. Fate did not smile on them but their music (all of it) was just beyond. Kendall is one of the best!

If I would have seen this, I might have given them a chance, but all I saw of them was the "Once Bitten" video, which I hated.
BTW, I've never seen any singer pull off Robert Plant with such ease. Holy shit!
