Such a great video, Jeanette! 😍👍 I think it was so smart to only convert PART of the shed into a chicken coop. I probably would not have thought of that and would just just ended up with a massive sized shed coop. Also really enjoyed your comments regarding freedom and how your family celebrated Independence Day (and thanks for calling it that and not '4th of July'). It's so sad when a city refuses to compromise with citizens who are looking to feed their families, become self sufficient and fight shortages and inflation. One of the greatest things about this country is that if you are willing to move, we can all find a corner that allows us to do what we love. So happy for your family!
Thank you! Yes, we were working hard on the chicken ordinance through three months in the early summer of 2020. We were citing recent local food shortages as one of the reasons we wanted it. People in the community said that was a temporary problem from COVID that would go away quickly. Here we are two years later with the same problem...
About to get my first chickens. I live in a town where it is ok to have them, but there has been controversy for a few years about how many and how much space is required. The city council finally separated fowl from livestock and the chicken requirements are much more doable on a city lot.

Oh, excellent! We would never want to be without chickens again. Good luck!
