The Best built on youtube without exception. I'm a CNC Machinist having setup several mills and that was amazing work. You need to bolt it down to a good concrete floor and finish leveling to axis's and you can get it to read more accurately, plus it will hold tighter tolerances consistently. At that stage a precision level is necessary to use complete leveling and to obtain accuracy. Look up how to level a cnc vmc and get the pdf manual on a Mazak or a major machine tool builder.
Thx! I leveled the mill but i can not bolt it into my floor (heating floor). Accuracy is for my hobby needs more than enough. (20mm circle: 19,996 - 19,993) Thx for your comment.
Servus! (3 Seitig)
Hi there! ive got a question. what did you use to "level" the Z colum to the base? like some sort of epoxy? im building a similar machine right now but i do not know how to level it properly! Tnx in advance!
Is there any chance you'd be willing to share a .step file or equivalent of the design with a BOM. I know is asking a lot. I've dreamt of building something exactly like this. I have the build experience but not the design experience. I've looked for ever to find such plans with no results. Especially with such a great design. It would be to costly for me to just wing it. Please consider it.
nice, have a question about the green spindle.. did you buy the cheapest version with the purpose of upgrading the bearings right away? Which bearings would you recommend to upgrade to?
Hello, yes, i bought the cheapest version and with the purpose of upgrading, becouse the original bearings are normal ball bearings. For assembly a fridge for cooling the spindle down and a baking oven for heating the bearings (100C) is ok. Hello, because epoxy resin is much more complicated to use. The concrete is easy, you only need a mixer. Also machine building companys use concrete: www.durcrete.de/

Very nice machine! Love it 😍
Hammer Projekt! Glückwunsch zur Fertigstellung.👍
Gefällt mir sehr gut, danke fürs Zeigen!
thx
Super Projekt! Habe den Bau schon im Discord verfolgt, Glückwunsch zu der tollen Maschine....👍
Nice build! I am looking forward to more videos!
Thx!
is the machine made from concrete or is that some kinda of epoxy granite casting? Looks realy good! love it!
Hello, thx!
It is made from uhpc, its a really strong concrete called nanodur
Hi, wie hast du die Ausrichtung der Z-Achse durchgeführt, bevor alles vergossen wurde? Hast du Gewindestifte verwendet um den Turm zu "kippen"?

@@diycnc2023 Thank you! you saved me a headace!
Awesome build! Neat and compact, one question, what motor did you use to drive the spindle?
Hey, thanks!!
I'm using a 1000w jmc servo.

thanks! i used nanodur (tegno)

@@diycnc2023 Did you hear about sika 212 grout ? I think that they are similar ones... no epoxy then?
@@hernancurras hello sika 212 has E-Modul 15000 N/mm2
Uhpc has E-Modul 80000 N/mm2
More is better
fill the neck with uhpc too, to get rid of the metal screeching sounds
The sound is ok in real. In the video the sound is ugly.
Hi, do you have a link for progress/description for this project?
Hello,
Yes but in German and short:

If you have any questions feel free to ask.
@@diycnc2023 did you measure deflection of column over base? ( If you push top of the column forward)
@@vnuendru1 hello, i did a rudimentary test with a 0,01 dailgauge. I pushed the column to the side with my bodyweight, no change on the dailgauge.
Was the spindle bearing upgrade worth it?
Yes! Temperature drop from 52 to 29
Super!

this is epoxy granite cast?
No, UHPC
