I enjoy watching your videos. You do a good job pointing out things trying to educating people in the HVAC trade. I'm from Canada, and just seeing how you have to constantly crawl
around to attics and crawlspaces to do your job is nuts. house design in America is not friendly to the HVAC Tech. I also am a HVAC Tech (Installer) and just this past week one of my jobs
had the entire metal ductwork being energized with 120v of current. I could see the electrical arcing and humming sound the ductwork was making. Scary stuff.

I have seen that before. They basically build another roof over the house in order put in an air conditioner. At least they coulda given you some more room.

Haha I'm glad I work for myself...I'd turn down the rafters impossible attic furnace and the water hole crawl space 😅. Gotta be completely dry when I go under there. One puddle is to flooded 😆 🤣 😂

Taking photo and video documentation of issues found. Sort of what we do as Technicians.

You definitely see some weird crap. I couldn’t figure out what that shot of the duct system in the rafters (maybe) with the sheet metal duct was. Seemed a little complex

Damn, what in the heck was up with the pin? nail? tack? in the piston? Haha and I've seen that kind of set up before with the unit tucked away into the rafters above the old roof when they did an expansion. It was definitely a weird set up with multiple units some in closets, some in the space above the roof

It appeared to be a piece of a rivet but I never could come up with how in the world it got in the refrigerant circuit. 🤷‍♂️

@@HVACinSC I'm guessing someone had to have put it in there for some reason that'll we'll probably never know lol. Was this on a heat pump? Maybe they thought it would work better in the heat mode or they put in the wrong sized piston and thought plugging the hole would make it work better in cooling
