Your eyes should considerably lighten up when somebody casually mentions the name Be`lakor! These filigrane, sophisticated tunes of this Melbourne fivepiece definitely have the potential to enthrall masses wih this absolute fantastic output of Australian melodic death metal! The eight pillar songs Vessels is built upon definitely satiate your hunger for progressive structures and technical prowess, but at the same time these new compositions live for intense, passionate and deeply disquieting melodic death metal. Sense and sensibility from Down Under: Be'lakor's fourth full length album will drag this whole world down into its darkness!

Be'lakor is easily one of the best melodeath bands out there today. They don't have a bad song. Love that they generally don't use any kind of basic song structure. Their songs are more like poems or stories that are kinda unpredictable.

I find myself reading through all their lyrics now and then. It's nice. Especially their latest album from 2016. Each song tells a different part of a story about a photon from the sun that dashed towards earth, helped give birth to life and then the energy is returned to the stars from the fire when that life is burned. It's quite... amazing imo

Be'lakor climbed to the top of my list of melodeath bands couple of years ago and has stayed there... they have all the components that I love.. hefty growls, haunting melodies / guitar duets, interesting lyrics and great compositions. Happy to see you guys jamming to them :)

@@Melodic-Metal abeyance is fuckin awesome. I think the first song that should be recommended to newbies of the band tho is countless skies, prob their most famous song but it’s epic, great intro to the band. All their stuff is fantastic tho, one of the best bands on the planet.

be'lakor's stellar musicianship produces riffs, beats, and melodies that constantly deliver original and catchy sounds, but their fucking lyrics really are just from another universe. metaphysical and poetic and never remotely the precise kind of story you expect to hear. there are a ton of utterly gigantic bands in the metal scene and these dudes may be just be another strong argument amongst top favorites, but fuck, y'all, be'lakor is so good it ain't even fair.

You guys should react to Abeyance. Be'lakor does not possess a single bad song and their musicianship is beyond the capabilities of most MDM bands... They are truly underrated - criminally so - and deserve so much more respect and popularity.

They are really storytellers and they do it so damn well. They do what Amorphis does, but the lore hailing from their home country Australia.
I didn't like their music to begin with, but as I started to listen to the lyrics my interest grew, and now they're one of my top bands for sure. Their music keep growing every time and I love how, like you said, it's like watching a movie. So well written. /,,/

Best Melodeath band currently imo and one of the best bands on the planet in general, stone’s reach and of breathe and bone are absolute masterpieces, vessels is amazing too. This is a great song and still isn’t even near their best, every song they’ve ever made is fantastic.

Given you like story of the song its just part of a longer story/narrative from the album Vessels which starts with a photon escaping the furnace of the Sun to give life to a plant here on earth. The photon passes from Plant to insect, the Vessels, and so on until the end of its journey with the man that dies in this song and so the vessel "returns to the fire" at the end of this song. If you get the chance check out "An Embers Arc" which begins the story
