If you used barrels instead of trap doors you could put ladders on there and have more storage space, but I do like the aesthetic of the trap doors

Personally, I would have put 2 trap doors almost flush with the spawn space on the platform. It would have placed them just in front of the barrel, but since I could still reach that from the side, that would seem ok to me. Regardless, this is a charming little house!
