- What a beast. Or is it?
I got the Medium version of the Finalmouse Starlight-12 Phantom. Not a reviewer unit, not cherrypicked by Finalmouse themselves, but I got a very good one.
Magnesium shell is the main selling point and holy, I love it.
Quite a lot of people have reported quality control issues, so keep that in mind if you're thinking of getting one. Didn't notice any with my unit luckily enough.
Curious to what the Finalmouse Pro Tenz will be like.

The click latency was done purposely to avoid double clicking that Logitech mice are notorious for so the mouse will last for longer. The click latency on the starlight is not even close to delayed enough for it to effect you in game or for you to even notice it. Finalmouse has a firmware update available on their discord that puts the latency the same as the Superlight. The firmware was only released to shut up all the dumb people complaining about it.
Are you talking about the firmware update they released back in September? Thought it was LOD and DPI issues
@@AyeSour No, Finalboy released another firmware update just over a week ago that just changes the click latency.

Hey I see you're using the mpc mousepad in this video. Did you have difficulties in the beginning controlling the mouse on such a fast pad? sorry this isn't what the video is about but I'm rather curious as I tend to overshoot with the faster mousepads.
Used to find it too fast, but after having used even faster pads for a while (Glorious Helios & Ceramic feet) I can now control it.
Still switch back to slower pads when playing games like Valorant.

I honestly prefer the starlight 12 ares over the phantom .. I have both and I went back to the ares over the phantom.... the switch change makes it a different mouse completely
what are the differences? i didnt know they made different variations of the mouse.
@@owennagadipurna they changed the switches was the main and noticeable change ... I forget what they used in the original ones but they changed them to kailh 8.0s which are much snappyer than before .. I've gotten used to the old ones and I honestly enjoy the heavy clicks and post travel that my ares has over my phantom which has no post travel and very snappy clicks.....
Honestly I have been waiting for a good reviewer to compare both versions but I'm still yet to see one.
@@tpzz3773 People like you who already have a Starlight 12 and take up the remaining stock ruin it for the people who want to pick up a Phantom that never experienced a Starlight 12 before. I had to get the mouse 30 days after Christmas from StockX because brats like you spend their parents' money on MULTIPLE starlight 12's when you really only need one.
@@VeroxusPvP You're assuming they bought multiple mice from each drop? Either way, it's fair game in this kind of market if people were able to get one. People of course got unlucky. Instead of putting your frustration towards another consumer who obviously is putting the mice they got to use, why don't you criticize Finalmouse's shitty business practices such as artificially creating demand through limited drop business models and the various sketchy Chinese factories they use, causing all sorts of QC issues? LOL.
Do you personally feel like the mouse is good now that you have one? Is it the best mouse ever? Is it worth $189 MSRP? This is all subjective. I hope you got your money's worth. I have one, and I would never pay for resale prices on these mice, just simply not worth it IMO. Anyone who wants a lightweight mice, there are plenty of other options from better businesses.
@@vudoo2068 Why are you twisting my words? I didn't say multiple mice on EACH restock. I'm saying if they already have a Hades, they don't need a Phantom. That's what I mean by owning multiple mice. You shouldn't twist people's words to make their argument weaker, you know. Because if one already owns a starlight 12 and tries to buy a phantom, that's taking a chance away from someone who hasn't yet had the privilege of trying it out.
Also, for the game I play, there is NO other option EXCEPT the finalmouse. It weighs 42-47 grams, + it is made of magnesium so when you butterfly fast on it, the metal shakes and you get 25-30 cps. Also, the medium is the perfect mouse for my hand size and I found my aim improved significantly

I have tried both higher and lower but usually use around the same (32cm)

It kinda still is but I like to switch between pads so I don't always use it

@@Pipiezi i saw on the video you using the MPC and EVE so I'm wondering why because the Hien is supposed to be in the middle of those 2 pads in terms of sped and friction no?
@@GoldenEagle0007 that's right! I still like to use the Eve if I want more stopping power or MPC for smoother tracking. Prob my top 3 mousepads atm so why not just use m all
@@Pipiezi i have the MPC450 and ordered a hien thats why i asked haha the EVE mousepad i wanted to try but here in UK nowhere to buy it, might just get a AC+ probably its close to the EVE and maybe its a wiser choice since i already have a fast AF pad but i stil want to experience the Japanese Queen Mousepad
