      Huh? Brzenk beat a much smaller and weaker version of Cyplenkov back in 2008. Larrat crushed Brzenk in the same year, as shown in this video.
      But Larrat lost to 2018 Cyplenkov, that's 10 years later, my man. In those 10 years Larrat has gotten slightly past his prime, and Cyplenkov has gotten much much stronger, pumped full of all kinds of roids and HGH, and has gotten better at technique. No surprise there.
      Today in 2019, Cyplenkov is Number 1, no doubt. He's still relatively young, he has acromegaly for God's sake and he's using literally bodybuilder levels of roids. Not even the 2004 version of Voevoda (who crushed Brzenk like he was a little girl) could stand a chance against him.

John wouldn't have finalized the arrangement if the injury was going to impact his performance. In fact, John went on to manhandle Denis Cyplenkov just 1 month after this, so the "injury" definitely was nothing significant.
      According to Michael Todd, Devon was at his absolute strongest. Later that night Todd, John Bzrenk, Marcio, Ron Bath, and Neil couldn't beat Devon five against one. It took 6 hours before someone finally beat Devon

    What is weird is that at 40 and 50, Devon and John respectively, John beat Devon...
    So relative to size and age John is still the greatest not to mention his record in any case!
    33/43 is the age split during this match

    • @mickeydrago9401
      @mickeydrago9401 3 года назад +1

      @Jeyurgi
      I had this debate before and strength peaks around 25... That doesn't seem correct considering increased bone density can go well into the thirties...And there is something to constitution and long-term suffering that actually improves into the forties (highlighted by ultramarathon results and 100 mi results and a marathon a day for a month results, ALL THE BEST PEOPLE ARE IN THEIR 40S!
      So I'm not sure how this translates to arm wrestling when it comes to staying power...

    • @mickeydrago9401
      @mickeydrago9401 3 года назад

      @Jeyurgi
      And I know with age and slower metabolism you can actually bulk up more beyond 25 for sure!
      When it comes to baseball pitching and sprinting mid-20s is the peak... I'm sure that's true with many strength exercises...
      But it is very interesting that people who may have a peak marathon speed in their 30s will actually improve their times with slower marathon speed when it comes to 100 mi races and 24-hour races...
      Counterintuitive results, So strength and stamina and constitution are metrics that do not align well with one decade of age over another...
      I have yet to see data that shows being in the 50s as any advantage but it is weird with the aforementioned results for these ultramarathoners even push up into the upper 40s... and not at all so clustered around low 40s like you might expect if you were to believe this argument at all and know the results...

      Tristan M ik that John is the GOAT but imo, Prime Devon would barely win against prime Brzenk..Devon is more technical and has more table IQ than John brzenk..But john’s specialty is hook and his crazy endurance. Devon has the bigger forearm, longer arm length, heavier weight. John has much more power to his hits. Add them all up, Prime Devon would just barely win against Prime Brzenk because of the advantages that Devon has against him..Again I might be wrong, I might be underestimating Brzenk but if you have the IQ and mentally, you couldnpretty much win

      Mr.iMpOssiBLe he beat Cyplenkov because earlier in that year Cyplenkov pulled a little too hard with Lupkes and had to have surgery. Your right, left handed Cyplenkov would go right through Devon lol
