Armwrestling training is much different from your usual bodybuilding routine and workout. We don`t just train muscles but we train tendons mostly. Armwrestling workout main focus is increasing grip and finger strength. Armwrestlers train also something called side pressure that is useful only in armwrerstling. So cool to see John fighting these younger guys, as frustrated as he seemed to lose to Pushkar he was still gracious and chuckling in defeat. Respect to Pushkar as well for showing John respect and not screaming in his face.
Yeah, especially since John was already 51 years old and past his prime. Puskar was only age 29. John could have been his dad.

Well that's not exactly what happened, he top rolled him out of a hook - which is Zoloev's specialty. It's still very impressive, but it wasn't a losing position per-se. John was strong enough to take his hand despite being so deep in the hook but it was definitely not a losing position; they were even.
@@lepe I would say John did exactly what he wanted...grabbed him a little lower to overpower his hook with his own pronation...

@@lepe he had to top roll out of hook because of miss start by john.. he was complaining to refs about zoloev's early start...john wouldn't lose the center if he didn't miss the start.
From age 20, in 2006, to age 29, here, Pushkar really blew up.
His opening smash went from being stoppable by a few to being unstoppable.

For a time, Pushkar struggled with Larratt. He lost a lefthand supermatch 5-1 to Larratt. Where Devon kept shaking his head "no" as they struggled.
@@StephenDoty84 Pushkar had no technique. All he does is fast start and pin very fast. Thats why he lost. It didnt work
@@StephenDoty84 Ah, should get your fact right, it's 5:1 in favor for Devon. He got flash pinned the 1st round by Pushkar tho. Overall performance, he surely dominated.

At that time 2015-17 pushkar had top 3 greatest right arms ever. Nobody has ever slammed brzenk like that before
John Abad ..the only times when brzenk beat pushkar were in 06 and 07, when pushkar was only about 21 years old..you dont even reach 100% end of natural growth until 25, then you dont even peak till about 30-40 or 35 average..pushkar from 30-33 when he died was literally unbeatable, only denis had a chance to beat 2018 pushkar..and he was only getting stronger every year!! He was gonna be a FUKING GOD if he didn't die, for the rest of his 30s..smh

I want to see Pushkar vs Turbin again. Pushkar beat him in 2015 but it was competitive. Turbin had multiple elbow fouls to lose. Turbin resistance is insane lately.

He was able to get a couple quick flash pins over the years off quick starts but whenever the match would stop or go to straps, Denis would dominate. And that was every time they faced over a decade or so. If you have a clip of Pushkar showing superior strength, (not a flash pin off early start) please link.

@@armwrestlingopera2064 I can’t find their right handed match from that event but I know Pushkar won right handed. That was when Chaffee and Denis destroyed each other and the John beat Dave and Pushkar beat Denis. Kinda like saying Kadzimurat Zoleov was stronger than Jerry cuz he beat him at the end of a grueling tournament but when they faced in a super match fresh for fresh, Jerry crushed him

+John Cooper Pushkar without a question. Competition increased 10x folds since the hay days of Brezenk. Brezenk never had to deal with monsters on good "vitamins". Here is an example for you, Jordan was the best in his days but if he would be the same today he would not even make it to top 5......
Brezenk beat Pushkar in 2012 I believe, now he has no chance. Many people that arm wrestles Pushkar including Lupkes said in their prime they would still have no chance. If someone would take interview of John he would say the same thing.

Omid Esteki You're right, that was Larratt that beat him in 2012. Well, i still say WITHOUT A QUESTION. Virtually no athlete remains the "best" as time passes. Virtually all records are broken with new athletes. Better training, better food, better vitamins, better steroids and so on. Power lifters broke all the existing records. John, in his prime was not much stronger than he is now. Wrist and hand/forearm does not deteriorate so fast. This isn't football or basketball. Ligaments/tendons are entirely different ball game. I have seen 70 year old destroy strong 35 year old opponents.

Pushkar was so dominant that most of the people pulling against him didn't even try. He was still fresh when he got near the end.
It didn't change anything. If Puskhar wasn't fresh he'd still flash Brzenk.
RIP Pushkar..but he was so far above the others here..just the previous year he couldnt beat brzenk like that. It's not natural that strength gain in a year that Pushkar developed

+Good Guy yeah 2015... thats the year pushkar was the strongest he's ever been beating chaffe and brzenk like they were kids. But he didnt do that to trubin he was the first one to absorb pushkars hit and hold him, after a little battle it was clear it was gonna come down to stamina in which pushkar had less off... trubin fouled out if not he would of won. i dont even like trubin that much but its the truth.
Chaffe would have put great fight in hook against pushkar .........but it's just Dave chaffe cannot fight instant toproll .....he needs a little time to use his complete power....
Same way Travis defeated chaffe in 2016 but obviously Dave chaffe was more strong than Travis but Travis toproll him pretty fast and won .....

I honestly think this is Pushkar's peak. Its not that Brzenk is getting old and weak. Last year he beat Chaffee anyway. The fact that in the last match Brzenk didn't even stand a chance against Pushkar shows how much he has improved. Long journey for Pushkar. Mostly every video of him against Denis shows him getting played lol.
It seems a purchased tournament! Look at 2:23, 4:01, 5:20 ... None of them is force or whether he tries to win! John asked not rock! The same happened against cyplenkov, he did not try to win, for me was cheating!
