Good reaction. Su-metal can split the crowd in whatever country they play, she just needs to make a gesture and people do what she wants.
The audience here were 22,000 people all singing along (and just slightly out of time). Yes this was the finale - Su, Yui and Moa had been giving that same energy from start to finish and this was getting on for 90 minutes by this time.
This was a real live performance, the last video you saw had the studio audio - from this one you can hear how much better they sound playing live with the Kami Band and Su's voice not being over processed like it is in the studio recordings.

Babymetal's mosh pits are very polite and very high energy. People will immediately stop to help someone up if they fall or stumble. It is a very wholesome experience. Even at 47 years old, I am not afraid to enter a Babymetal mosh pit. They are the best!
Yes Su said herself their mosh'sh pits are more gentler in nature.
I was at a GWAR concert, kinda near the front. I had to pee really bad. Between me and the bathroom was the mosh pit, swirling with menace. I decided to run directly through the middle of the pit. Before I was even halfway through the pit, I got hit from behind the hardest I've ever been hit in my life. I turned around and a very slight girl, all of 5'3ish, was laughing her ass off.

This performance was at Saitama Super Arena (SSA) in January of 2015, with a sold out crowd of 22,000.
BABYMETAL's lead singer, Suzuka Nakamoto first appeared at SSA in 2008 as a member of the J-Pop trio Karen Girl's, when she was 10 years old.
She's been back many times since, headlining with BABYMETAL, as well as opening for 'Guns 'n' Roses a few years ago.
Guitarists that night were Takayoshi Ohmura and Leda Cygnus. The bassist was BOH, and the drummer was Hideki Aoyama.

2020 is the 10th anniversary year, today Su is 22 and Moa is 20, Yui left in 2018 for health reasons. At the time of this concert Su is 17 and Yui and Moa are 15. The most famous high school students in the world. Also they had already been performing for about 1 and a half hours. Can you tell?

That was the third encore. They'd already left once. Still so much energy at the end of a 90 minute show. I think they must have dried off, they were quite sweaty earlier.
when Rob Zombie was asked about the first time he saw them perform, he said: "I saw them the other day for the first time. I mean, I'd seen videos and stuff, but I saw them live for the first time the other day, and I just loved it; it was like nothing I had ever seen before. I mean, it was just like… Leave it to the Japanese to find a way to make fucking death metal cute. But it was awesome. And the crowd… The crowd was going fucking apeshit. The amount of crowdsurfing and stage diving and just complete mayhem, which made it even funnier, 'cause it's three cute little girls doing fucking karate on stage and shit, and these guys [that are backing them] are dressed like ghosts, all in white. It's the most bizarre fucking thing. It's totally worth watching; it's so good."

That was the last of three encores of an 1h 35min concert and they still perform like it was the first song of the night, it's really awesome! When SU-METAL splits the crowd at the beginning she's actually commanding a wall of death and that is pretty badass for anyone and if we talk about a 17yo girl, it's totally awesome! She's the Queen and if she commands you to build a wall of death you just do it! This was back in January 10th 2015 and the venue was the Saitama Super Arena (SSA) in Japan with a sold out crowd of 22.000 people.

That'll only work in Japan? Oh my, Queen Su has splitted the crowd too often outside of Japan as well!
Most moshpits are more polite than they look, I promise. The unwritten rule is that if someone falls down, you stop and help them up. Moshing is about expressing energy and appreciation for the music, not about hurting anyone. I've even seen bands like Slipknot stop in the middle of a song if they see someone get hurt in the pit.

this was a very common outfit in babymetal's early years. they've changed it up a few times, but they definitely don't vary them that often.
you commented that _road of resistance_ is a lot different from _gimme chocolate_ ; well, babymetal has a ridiculous amount of range. you should check out some of their other songs, from _rondo of nightmare_ (a su-metal solo) to _babymetal death_ ( _legend 1997_ version was killer) to more recent songs like _bxmxc_ (su's got flow!) and _oh, maijinai_ (music to dance a jig to?)

You need to look up Perfume, Mikiko-metal does the choreography for them and Babymetal. Flash by Perfume has a similar vibe to Perfume's Flash. Perfume live shows are incredible, CosmIc Explorer is a great album. Lots of bands and idol groups have theme. Necromonidol mixes Kabuki, electronica and HP Lovecraft!
Great video!! I really liked them when I saw them live this year! but the crowd locally were over acting with the mosh pit so that it made it hard to actually see the band, lol.

Why this video impressed you more that Gimme Chocolate:
1, This was a live performance with their real backing band
2, This song is from their second album. The songwriting and music (the guitar arrangement here was done by DragonForce) was done for an already successful group, and is, therefore, very advanced compared to a song that was basically written for an extracurricular after school music club.
3, This song, and especially this performance, was very emotional for the girls as it's basically their anthem. Their celebration of overcoming the odds (inspite of many who said they couldn't) and planting their flag, both literally and symbolically, at the absolute peak of the Japanese music scene!
