- Try to collect as many Lv2 Weapons/L3 Weapons to purify as possible. Once you have a few, change your pawn into a sorcerer that way both your Arisin as well as pawn are sorcerer's. Doing this will ensure you obtain staff's for your Sorcerer vocation. Once you've gotten a good weapon, use some Rancid Bait Meat to dragon forge it against a Cursed Dragon. Lastly in order for this farm to work, you must have the spell High Gicel which you've seen me use in the video. I recommend doing this farm on Hard Mode, you will gain several Lv's more per kill. Death will constantly respawn in this area once you leave the are and return, on some occasions you may get an Elder Ogre. Also, Death will only keep respawning so long as you have not defeated Daimon the final boss.

This absolutely works to farm exp ONLY for gravity kills on Death. As I was leveling my sorcerer to ultimately play MA, I wanted to level as fast as possible as I hated leveling as a sorcerer. Some tips:
1. Go down the 2nd BBI shortcut for the fastest route
2. Take Veteran’s Periapt/Pilgrim’s Charm/Martyr’s Talisman to double exp; can be used 3 times in a row if Death cooperates on positioning in a timely manner
3. Positioning is tricky; see above video above if your having difficulty. When in the right spot Death cannot target you and will drop into the abyss when hit. Simply save and reload if killed.
4. IIRC you need 730 knockdown on hard difficulty, I had 530 on easy and only needed 2 -3 High Gicels to kill Death. Be sure to use the Emphasis and Impact augments.
5. Clear all the worms before luring Death to the kill zone. They won’t respawn.

@@doro3742 No problem. If you are new to the game then I’d highly recommend first playing through the story before going to the BBI DLC. It will help you get familiarized with the games mechanics and all the different vocations but more importantly how to tackle different monster types.
Another option is use throwblasts. Lure death there and throw like crazy. He will die. You will get experience but not the loot because he fell in the water.
Hahaha still works, if you guys are having trouble guiding him towards the edge just follow these:
1. When death noticed you don't run in panic, just walk then it will follow you.
2. When you are near the door to another area quickly run to the corner which was shown on the video.
3. When it teleported run towards the edge then do your thing. If you didn't knock it down run to the corner by the door again then same steps.
I have 407 knockdown, lvl74 and i had to do the skill 3x to make it work.
In hard?
420 knockdown, I stuck death in that spot, done the magic full cast 7 fking times and it didn't work
Great positioning and timing
It's funny how I thought I was the first to discover this, lol. I just played the game this year and all I see are Death farming using Assassin or Strider so I thought no one dared to try doing it on other vocations. My favorite vocation is Sorcerer so I tried to create my own death farming strategy and discovered a few ways. You can also do the exact strategy from the video on the left side fence. I did the same strategy from the vid but also tried High Seism which seems to be a bit better than High Gicel when knocking down death. Also, I found out that using Demon's Periapt also increases your knockdown potential because I tried also to do this from the middle (just like in the strider/assassin death farming) but you have to first hit Death by a High Gicel once (or a few times depends on your damage/knockdown power, not sure which one) while you are guiding it to the drop and then do one more when he is actually on the drop, but when I tried using 4x Demon's Periapt, I was able to knock down Death immediately using only just one High Gicel. I thought it's only for magick damage, seems like I was wrong.
I’ve tried using the boost but only once and though its just too time consuming trying to save up for exp boosters and demon periapts so I just do the way you see in the video. Once you get a feel for how to do it correctly it becomes pretty easy to do especially once you figure out how to glitch him into the corner. Basically this is the most efficient way to pull it off without a major investment. Just buy two barb nails to increase your knockdown power and equip anything that gives you more knockdown power and smash on normal mode. Once you are about 150-170 you should have power to knock him on Hard Mode but also just mostly depends on your weapons knockdown power so I recommend trying to do some quick Lv3 weapon farms on BBI or invest into the periapts. Fortunately when I did this video I already had one of the strongest staffs for my sorcerer since someone gifted me some Lv 3’s to purify. I’ve been playing the game on and off since it’s release date and over the several years I noticed that no one had yet to put up a pure Magic’s build Death farm without using throwables which to me is too far of a hassle because A; you’ll weigh too much and can easily be killed or B; your companion will end up in a situation that will get you both killed. Either way I just didn’t care to do it so I always did it this way. I’ve made a pure Magic’s sever al times on multiple accounts on both Xbox as well as PlayStation so it’s just years of experience.
Infinite cringe did it with warrior by just smacking them while they were over the edge it was pretty funny.
@@regretfullchief8866 I tried that strategy with the Warrior, I had to hit death with 2 Arcs of Obliteration with an upgraded Lv1 BBI Weapon (Wounded Heart) + single Barbed Nail to successfully knock it down the pit on Hard mode. It's also good to bring Monk Periapt/Sobering Wine to prevent yourself getting sleep as you charge the attack.
Would this work with a dragon weapon? I have the dragon's risen but haven't found any bbi weapons yet.
It’s best to Dragon forge the weapon as much as possible. You can do it easily by fighting a Cursed Dragon or a Fire Drake where that burnt forest area is near the Thieves Stronghold. Near the drake is a small camp, you can save there and then attempt to dragon forge your weapon against it but I recommend just fighting a Cursed Dragon in BBI using fire while it’s on normal mode. I started off killing Death on normal mode before switching it up to Hard Mode, it’s makes it easier to knock him into the pit since his knock down resistance is much higher on Hard Mode. Best way to knock is to get your knock down power as high as possible, makes it much easier.

I recommend using a Sanguine Stalk for your sorcerer if you plan to do this on Hard Mode, you will definitely need its high Knockdown power.

@@kennethsmith5383 Then spam away with High Gicel or if you can get him stuck then you can use Grand Gicel if you have it. I always struggle to get the rings that give me Grand Gicel/Grand Maelstrom. Just bad rng no matter how many times I replay the game lol.
Update: In hard mode it takes getting him over the chasm twice, but it works. Took me 5 deaths to figure it out.
Do you need to leave the room after he died or wait for him to respawn, or drop some bait?
Just keep leaving and returning until you hear the music playing for death. You’ll notice that anytime he’s around, the background music is different. This only works if you haven’t already defeated Daimon at the end of Bitter Black Isle.
@@edenknight777entertainment5 I tried to kill death with arrow blast, he always leave after dropping some health, tried leaving and returning the same room, no luck he always escape when you drop his health ar certain percent (sorry for bad english)
@@BU683AR yes he’ll leave after losing health but his health doesn’t recover so after coming back a few times you can kill him.
I cant seem to stun him...I use the same spell High Gicel x3 an nothing....what am I doing wrong? Im like lvl 105
You need a very good weapon with high knockdown power. You can easily farm for great weapons in BBI. There are many RUclips guides that I recommend you invest sometime into. Or you could use throw blast.
On my reason I don’t use throwables is because it slows your character down big time. You could use a pawn as a mule but I honestly recommend you solo this to gain the max amount of experience.
I play this method but death not kill in the abyss .. why ?

You could try jumping over towards the tunnel where the sewer drain is at and quickly run back to t open space and sometimes that works.
I found out my problem, he teleports where your camera is, I didn't know that

And also reaper falls to its own DEATH ah hahahaha oxymoron joke! Also it only appears like this PRE Daimon right? Also also once you beat it to you need to rest 7 days (outside bbi) to have it respawn or just and re enter from fallen city door?
Pre-Daimon and just re-enter room till he spawns.

That is correct. Once you hit Lv200 your magic power will be at the max, just swap to Magic Archer and use ricochet shot while he’s in the sewers to kill him so you can get the loot.

@@edenknight777entertainment5 when I try to do it I run to the broken walkway on the right like you do but instead of being stuck behind the wall he teleports above me and does the scythe attack do you have to stand a certain way
@@that_dude7268 It just takes allot of practice, you’ll eventually figure it out. It usually take a few tries before it actually works. Getting Death stuck is not a guarantee, you just have to keep trying.

I'm having a hard time using a sorcerer vocation even tho I have the sanguine stalk gold forged.. Good armor and gear(forgot the names).. I want to master sorcerer vocation as I have tye best weapon but being a sorcere isn't really my cup of tea.. Been practicing but it really gets me..
Sorcer is definitely a different take and approach to the game. If you are playing one, you’ve gotta start raising your character early on as a mage until you can unlock the sorcerer vocation. There’s allot of useful solely in the game but honestly speaking, your most useful ability is your charged staff attack lol.
I have a pure magic build on the last character that I made. I made that build to later change it into a Magic Archer and it hits insanely hard. I recommend either doing a pure strength build or a pure magic build. The magic build is far more difficult to pull off but there’s definitely a few ways to do it, just requires a tremendous amount of patience. If you find yourself have I g trouble surviving, then I’d suggest you try a balanced build which is very easy to do. You simply play as a strider from Lv1-200. Or you could choose up to 100 and then swap to other vocations if your choice.
An important note is that a sorcerer's power is amplified massively when you have a sorcerer pawn. If you cast a high tier spell, the pawn will match it and cast the same one (if it has it equipped, obviously). The valuable part is that when someone starts casting a spell that's already being charged, they'll start at that charge level. And pawns will always charge their spells to the max, so what you can do is start casting, let it fly at level 1, and by the time you start another cast both you and the pawn will be close to level 2. The burst damage from that is just immense
@@lred1383 this would work like a charm if spells didn’t take 50 years to cast. I get interrupted sooo much. I can’t even begin to imagine how annoying it would be to try and synchronize your spells with a pawn :/
@@lostinthewoods3918 thats why I have a warrior and ranger pawn to keep thing away long enough to get spells off. Casting big spells is a real big gamble that pays off big when you land it. I usually use holy focused bolt to set up a stun. Then use that window to charge up a big spell (usually max bolide or max maelstorm). By then time they get up, you only need a second or 2 to finish the charge and launch it.
The dragons (mainly firedrake or frost wyvern) are the only ones that give me trouble cause the stupid amount of range on their shout that interupts casting and murks my pawns. Other then those 2 specific mobs, I usually can set up the timing and blow everything away.
Holy focused bolt a ingle are your bread and butter as a sorcerer, they help you make everything else great. Don't bother with the fancy crap like Exequy, miasma, cosmetion, and stuff. Other then Holy buff and Ingle, you want high AOE damage of all elements. Fulmination, Bolide, Gicel, and maelstrom are the magic square of utilitarian "one of these will work in any situation I encounter". Focused bolt and ingle are when you need a bit of burst damage or knockdown power should your pawns not be doing it right.

Very very low chance of it working trust me. You’ll want to do this on max difficulty so the enemies knockdown resistance is much higher so chance of that ability working are close to none. I’ve only ever been able to get it to work once and it was after several hours of testing. My method or using throwables are the best two options if you want to get a pure magic build using Death as a farm method for exp point.
Your best bet is to farm him on normal till you can at least get to level 125-150 then switch to Hard Mode. You’ll have more knockdown power by then and just equip anything that will boost your knockdown power this also includes augmentation’s. If you aren’t having much luck on hard mode then I recommend you either keep grinding on normal or farm a few of the accessories that boost your class points to learn skills. You can farm them in Bitter Black Isle. Once you’ve got at least 2 for yourself, farm deer 🦌, rabbits 🐇 and birds 🦅 they will give you they will give you the most to learn your augments/skills without the fear of accidentally leveling up on a class you didn’t want to level up on. Once you’ve got what you need then head back to grinding Death on Hard Mode. If you still aren’t having much luck, try farming some level 3 weapon chests. There are guides on RUclips for level 3 chest farms. I recommend you not kill anything while doing those chest farms, you’re just there for the loot and nothing more. Grab and go. Once you’ve collected enough, make sure both you and your pawn are both sorcerers before purifying any level 2-3 weapons so that you’ll have a very high chance of getting weapons for a sorcerer.
Honestly farming Death as a sorcerer takes a lot of work and building up to do it but it’s still faster once you know what you are doing.

@@unknqwnshepherd1872 It’s not a bad dark plus you get the drops but you’ve gotta be very skilled at the game to try it at low level’s plus be a fire using beast lol. It’s very time consuming and even if you pull it off, by the time you get it to where it’s basically one shot away from death and pop your exp booster, you’ll get nowhere near as much exp as you would be getting from death plus the booster will only be good for that 1 kill. If you can master my method, it’s possible to get 2-3 kills on death before your booster runs out. It’s also rng though because he’s a real B**** to knockdown since his resistance is so stupid high on Hard Mode.
im really struggling with this. i got him stuck and killed him once, but i cant replicate it for the life of me,
im on hard and have to exhaust my stamina to knock him so doing it without him stuck isn't an option. help?
Unfortunately it’s more rng and experience. Once you figure it out it just starts to get easier to do but there’s still an RNG factor that he’ll get stuck. Raise your knock down power as high as possible, it helps a lot. Using holy imbuement on your staff and using the charged attacks also works incredibly well but you do need a hood but of knock down power or bell just resist it all.
There’s a significantly easier method to doing this that makes it so death can’t hit you with his scythe or lantern. The corner that you see him standing near at 1:02 can be abused to block all of deaths attacks while still being able to hit him. Standing right next to that corner while looking to the right will make death teleport in the same spot that he appears during this method but makes is so death can’t hit you. I found this method awhile back but have yet to see anyone make a video about it. There is also one trick farming death to get loots , . . . Magic archer solo, ricochet hunter skills and a lot of Demon periampt, . . . Just hide on the room there were there are worms and through the hole on canal kill it. Death would not know your killing him , he is just flouting there as a target , . . . Have lots of loots after.
Does death spawn every time you go there or is rancid meat needed?
He spawns there almost hmm I wanna say about 90% of the time so long as you have not defeated the final dungeon boss. Use the door next to where the worms spawn in the water then re-enter, if you see an ogre there then leave and re-enter again until you hear the eerie music from Death. You should be able to get at the very least 2-4 kills after using 1 charm for added experience.
@@edenknight777entertainment5 I've tested this farm. To me it seems it is besindes leveling pretry good for lvl 3 rings. If someone is missing the ninefold bolt for MA like i did 😅 and still had no luck with it 🤣
@@itzmesolid4908 Been playing the game since release day and Bitter Black Isle DKC since release day but never once seen anyone do a Death farm for a magic build so decided to just put it out there for veteran players. Never expected newer players to come along a decade down the road.

It takes some practice to learn how to get him stuck there as well as timing with a dash of luck. Spam High Gicel once you get him stuck and with some luck and high knockdown power he’ll fall into the pit.
@@edenknight777entertainment5 Yeah, I manage to stuck him there but never manage to fall him down in the abyss. I just switch from Hard Mode to Normal Mode so that the stagger and knockdown value of death go down.
My set-up was Sanguine Stalk Goldforged + Barbed Nails2x and has a 700+ stagger and knockdown value.
Now I wonder if Arc of Obliteration will make death go fall in the Abyss using a Warrior Arisen. That would be a sight to behold I'm sure.

Iam at level 70 magic archer and cannot damage death at all, what must i do ?
You need enough magick to overcome its defense to start damage it.
- dragonforge, rarify, your magick bow
- use 4x magic rebalancer or demon periapts or any combination up to 4x.
Augments to increase your magick:
Attunement (mage, 9)
Acuity (Sorceror, 9)
Bloodlust (Assassin, 4) - active at night
Autonomy (Assassin, 9) - solo, no pawn
If you want more,
Equanimity (Mage, 2) - requires you at 30% HP(red health) to activate
For vocation leveling:
Get 2x ring of perseverance by glitching through the doors in BBI.
Farm mobs west of The Greatwall at night - there's a skeleton mage who can spawn endless skeleton warriors.
Use item that grants Weal (2x XP and vocation) like Blessed Flower or the relevant periapts you can buy from Fournival when farming vocation level.
Bring a mage pawn with holy enchantment magic or use a holy/fire weapon for certain vocations to fight skeleton.

You don’t and it would be a waste of time. Once you hit Lv10 with your mage, you can change its vocation to Sorcerer.

If you are doing it on Hard Mode it will be much more difficult to knock him down since the knockdown resistance is higher on Hard Mode. You need a good staff too that gives you some good knockdown power. At the lowest, a Dragon’s Risen archstaff but it’s best to use the Sanguine Stalk if you can get your hands on one. You’ll need the Sanguine Stalk if you plan to farm him on Hard Mode or it will take you some serious luck to knock him. High Gicel is the best spell to use or charge your staff with Holy. Equip anything that boosts your knockdown power.
I'm level 101, I have the second best staff (hallowed dragon), two barbed nails, cursed King's belt and
580 stagger power. I'm playing on hard and it just won't go down
I recommend not switching to Hard until you are 150-160. Keep grinding on normal till then. Also a few augments can really help. Read the pinned comment, it actually tells you in very good detail what you need.

It was all information I should have originally added but I never thought there would be a newer generation wanting to play Dragon’s Dogma. Video was basically meant for veteran players that are also familiar with other methods of farming Death.
I am lv 70 magic arcer cannot damage death at all, what must i do?
You’ll never kill death as a Lv 70 Magic Archer unless you knock him into a pit for instant death.

It’s not patched. They haven’t patched anything for this game in years. Just takes some RNG and plenty of patience. You don’t have to glitch him into the wall BTW, as long as he’s hovering over that waterfall then he can be knocked into it and die. Just try and hit him hard enough enough to knock him down.

That’s just the way it is. If you have your pawn setup as a tank then it works best. I usually boost physical defense and strength for my pawn with some stamina and sit her in the chair to align her to defend.
You can use the Wyrmkings Ring, make a duplicate from Blackcat of that ring.
I just cant get bastard to spawn in the right area for the death of me.
Then either you are the wrong area or you’ve already defeated Daimon. If you did the later then you’ll have to restart your game progress so that you’ll have to start the game from the beginning but keep everything else that you’ve earned including experience points.
how u get many lvl up while mine is only 3 or 5 lol

Easier is just play the game, endgame offline ur d couple times till level 110 and then bitterblack daemon runs chugging periapts you have to kill daemon 100 times anyway for gear might as well incorporate him for xp
That takes substantially much longer and you don’t HAVE to kill him for gear. He simply has a high chance of dropping a Lv3 Bitterblack isle piece of gear or weapon. Also that materials he drops are just for some gear/weapons. Farming death is far faster for leveling.
Point is to actually get a build going. You can only start actually using mystic knight when you hit lvl200. Cuz if you level up with mystic knight you get extremely crap gains in both strength and magick.

Read all the other comments, it works just takes patience lol. If you’re trying to do this on Hard Mode then it’s not going to work because you won’t have enough knockdown power at a low level. Play on normal mode until you get to avoid Lv 100 or 150 by farming Death the way I’m showing you in the video. Another option is to imbue your weapon with holy then spam charged bolts while he’s hovering over the waterfall. Lastly I recommend you look up some weapon farming guides to get yourself a powerful staff that will seriously help. I was lucky enough that a few ppl sent me some cursed weapons to purify. I ended up getting a Dragon’s Risen staff which is more than enough to knock him down on normal mode. After you gain your levels from normal mode, fight a Cursed dragon until your staff becomes dragon forged then try and get it to Silver and Gold dragon forged. After that you’ll be ready for Hard Mode Death. Seems like a lot of work but it’s actually in less time consuming in the long run and less frustrating than running through BBI with 100 throwable items in your bag. Plus it’s going to take a while to collect all those. Try charged bolts if my method isn’t working. If still having trouble then try the bombs.
I'm literally level infinite in Dragon's Dogma and I missed BBI. Once you go past 195, it just says infiinite.

Easier than this, take assasin or strider, get a decent bow and then use blast arrows with Tenfold Flurry. You down him in 2-3 shots and can farm the area about 8 - 10 times before you need to restock.
You are 100% missing the point here friend. The point of this is to do a magic build, not strength build. I’m sure by now everyone knows how to do a strength build which is considerably easier to do. Magic build takes far more work but is well worth it once you hit max Lv. The damage you can put out with the Magic Archer is insane and you can self buff without the need of items.
Fck this guide i cant get Death to teleport on that choke spot🤣🤣 after that lantern he can follow me through the ledge but his Scyte channeling is much faster than my 2nd High Gicel i get killed all the time.. isnt there an easier way for nobs like me?
Lmao it can be frustrating but you can also try using charged staff attacks while he’s floating over the edge but you’ll need to imbue your staff with holy first. Also it’ll work best if it’s on normal mode. On Hard Mode his resistances are much higher so chances of knocking him or incredibly low unless you have a very powerful end game staff already with a ton of knockdown power.

In fact i did it once, i got Death stuck on that exact corner in the video and he couldnt get out, i bombarded him with Gicel multiple times and he fell down. But i forgot to pop my Martyrs Talisman and couldnt do it again lmao
Anyways i followed your advise and switched to Normal Mode. Youre right its so much Easier, no need to get him stuck anymore. Thanks for sharing your work!

This IS farming. This exp farming and if I want to get the drops then I just kill Deatg in the sewers rather than knocking him down that waterfall pit.
