Never played DD before this game. Not for one second. Game doesn't need dodge. I dont even use it on thief. You don't have to be sweaty to not be retarded... you also do realize that fighter has a shield and mystic spearhand has a freaking immunity bubble. and warrior has a charged counter. and casters have PAWNS. Seriously, it's got nothing to do with sweaty or shills or DD nerds. It's just common sense. And it's just a YOU problem. You don't like it, and you can't get past it. Play a different game and move on. I'm level 50 and played many vocations and have not once had this happen to me. It's all you. And you're the minority.

4th is a fighter that pulls aggro but I wasn’t trying to fight simply trying to make my way past everything as quickly as possible. You’d think avoiding combat would be easy but no, it’s either goblins that leap a mile long and stagger/knock you down or a harpy swooping down at 70 MPH to knock you down. Dodge would have definitely helped always did in DD1. As for the augments tips I very much appreciate it. These are the sort of comments that come in handy and help a community, not the trolling bastards in the other thread.

I really like 1-2 physical fighters be it ranged or not and then a mage with whatever else feels right, I do miss the cleric class from DD online though

@@captainblastems3367 Is that DD:O private server still around? I remember reading about it but I never got around to trying it out. And yeah, a 50/50 split between phys and magic feels ideal. Three casters feels worthless against golems and three physical feels worthless against some annoying night time enemies. I'd play more optimally if the game were appropriately hard, but until Hard Mode drops, I'm just kinda messing around. Might try out a difficulty mod some time.

@@hoop6725 I hope the server is up, I only played when it was up, Ive been using only my main pawn for right now and its been really fun having spellbooks ready in place of magic users it takes a lot more prep but its feels really rewarding, I def feel the same about hard mode though.

There’s no balance here. I’ve had an entire life Bar taken down by just one of those snow harpies. Snuck up behind my, knocked me down, hit me with the ice attack, then blocked me again and grabbed me which the grab stack can take 1/2 Your health alone. It was instant death. That’s not balance at all, it’s bullshit. There’s a challenging game and then there’s bullshit, gotta know the difference. This game absolutely pales in comparison to DD1. 12 years waiting and they absolutely ducked it up.

@@Baconator119 That’s incorrect, that was on DD1 which isn’t in DD2. In DD1 the pawns could learn overtime and adjust but the pawns in DD2 do not display any such learning curb. Perhaps you’ve had better luck but I for one have not nor have a few of my friends. Game needs a lock on option, dodge and for ffs a better interaction mechanic most especially better movement mechanics. This constant auto stop at a ledge and sliding movement is trash at best.

Issue is pawns aren’t as intelligent in DD2 as they are in DD1. So you basically get no help. I’m currently leveling my thief in order to farm items from larger monsters and it’s easier to not get hit nor grabbed thanks to helm splitter. But once again that’s not balance. I’ve maxed out warrior and it doesn’t have a block it just massively reduces damage taken while charging an attack. Problem with warrior is the attack animations are its biggest weakness. Only class that you have 0 issues with is the Fighter. Had strong attacks and can actually block plus has a skill that you can use even when knocked off balance or stunned. Mashes sense considering 2 of biggest DD1 streamers/content creators always preferred the Fighter vocation. They did it for them and they even had early access to test the game. Favoritism isn’t balance. The game isn’t balance at all. If you’re playing as a mage, sorcerer, trickster basically any light armored vocation than you should be able to dodge.

@@edenknight777entertainment5 Main issue is sprinting ahead of your pawns as a mage/sorc. I understand that you want to skip some fights, I do that as well but even with thief and dodge is 50/50 chance if i can actually run through. Harpies are my life enemy. But yeah, game is designed in a way that if you are relatively close to enemies you are forced to fight and you cant just run through. So its less game problem and more of design choice. There isnt meant to be balance as every class has its advantages and disadvantages. You either accept it, stop playing or mod it until you are satisfied. Or you can get wayfarer and enjoy dodge, block etc. from all of the vocations core skills. You always have a choice even tho you might not like it.

You’ll never kill death as a Lv 70 Magic Archer unless you knock him into a pit for instant death.

You need enough magick to overcome its defense to start damage it. - dragonforge, rarify, your magick bow - use 4x magic rebalancer or demon periapts or any combination up to 4x. Augments to increase your magick: Attunement (mage, 9) Acuity (Sorceror, 9) Bloodlust (Assassin, 4) - active at night Autonomy (Assassin, 9) - solo, no pawn If you want more, Equanimity (Mage, 2) - requires you at 30% HP(red health) to activate For vocation leveling: Get 2x ring of perseverance by glitching through the doors in BBI. Farm mobs west of The Greatwall at night - there's a skeleton mage who can spawn endless skeleton warriors. Use item that grants Weal (2x XP and vocation) like Blessed Flower or the relevant periapts you can buy from Fournival when farming vocation level. Bring a mage pawn with holy enchantment magic or use a holy/fire weapon for certain vocations to fight skeleton.

Pre-Daimon and just re-enter room till he spawns.

He spawns there almost hmm I wanna say about 90% of the time so long as you have not defeated the final dungeon boss. Use the door next to where the worms spawn in the water then re-enter, if you see an ogre there then leave and re-enter again until you hear the eerie music from Death. You should be able to get at the very least 2-4 kills after using 1 charm for added experience.

@@edenknight777entertainment5 I've tested this farm. To me it seems it is besindes leveling pretry good for lvl 3 rings. If someone is missing the ninefold bolt for MA like i did 😅 and still had no luck with it 🤣

@@itzmesolid4908 Been playing the game since release day and Bitter Black Isle DKC since release day but never once seen anyone do a Death farm for a magic build so decided to just put it out there for veteran players. Never expected newer players to come along a decade down the road.

That’s not a spell. It’s a charged staff attack. You just imbue your weapon with Holy and charge up the attack using your normal attacks. Just hold the buttons down. Heavy makes orbs orbit around your character while light attack (held down) make it fire those orbs that you see in the video.

I recommend not switching to Hard until you are 150-160. Keep grinding on normal till then. Also a few augments can really help. Read the pinned comment, it actually tells you in very good detail what you need.

It was all information I should have originally added but I never thought there would be a newer generation wanting to play Dragon’s Dogma. Video was basically meant for veteran players that are also familiar with other methods of farming Death.

@@doro3742 If you’ve only just killed the first big boss then you’ve still got a way to go and that’s if you can make it there. There are guides on RUclips to help you.

@@doro3742 No problem. If you are new to the game then I’d highly recommend first playing through the story before going to the BBI DLC. It will help you get familiarized with the games mechanics and all the different vocations but more importantly how to tackle different monster types.

Unfortunately it’s more rng and experience. Once you figure it out it just starts to get easier to do but there’s still an RNG factor that he’ll get stuck. Raise your knock down power as high as possible, it helps a lot. Using holy imbuement on your staff and using the charged attacks also works incredibly well but you do need a hood but of knock down power or bell just resist it all.

There’s a significantly easier method to doing this that makes it so death can’t hit you with his scythe or lantern. The corner that you see him standing near at 1:02 can be abused to block all of deaths attacks while still being able to hit him. Standing right next to that corner while looking to the right will make death teleport in the same spot that he appears during this method but makes is so death can’t hit you. I found this method awhile back but have yet to see anyone make a video about it. It’s not patched. They haven’t patched anything for this game in years. Just takes some RNG and plenty of patience. You don’t have to glitch him into the wall BTW, as long as he’s hovering over that waterfall then he can be knocked into it and die. Just try and hit him hard enough enough to knock him down.

Broken? This is my own shit I put together. Some friends ram me through AoZ and got my ToB glyph to Lv 19 plus got my imbiber to lv21 and Wrath to lv 21. I beat her with 3 boards. It’s not builds that are broken it’s what’s they’ve added for us to use. Wouldn’t be as easy if ppl would stop crying about every little thing. Ppl were also beating her at this lie a level before ToB glyph was even out. Just a lot of early glyph exp grinding at as low a level as possible.

Sorry but that won’t be happening. I’ve been slowly working on this build since day 2 of season 2 and it’s my baby. There’s far more than enough BL sorcerer builds out there, so nit adding this one isn’t going to make a difference. Besides it’s not just the build, there’s a mechanic to using this build and if you don’t know the proper rotation/mechanics to it then you’ll never be able to use it effectively nor survive much of anything.

I'm pretty sure blizzard is going to make AoZ nowhere near as 'hard' as people are making it out to be. More than likely it's just going to be annoyingly inconvenient.

@@kylekilgore291 I play thorns barbarian, my GF is playing orb sorc. She might be tankier than me depending on dungeon modifiers. I honestly think that their "difficulty" spike is going to be less about levels and more about just adding inconvenient/frustrating 'mechanics' to inflate the difficulty. They claimed that "a meta build won't be enough to carry you", but if that's the case than I'm not really sure what you'd need if an 19m a smash HOTA barb 'isn't enough'.

I’m actually stupid tanky, this was me with no unique chest nor pants. If I use the chest and pants she dies too fast and will glitch making herself invincible and unkillable.

Those dungeon’s will be difficult but not as much as you think. You’ll have to utilize a lot of CC to get through it with vulnerable and crit. Nothing new. The way I’m setup, I’m more than ready for the content drop. Btw my glyphs weren’t maxed during this video, now they are.

Not sure what you are doing wrong but you must be doing something wrong. No one else has had that problem after watching the video or asking. It’s very simple. Lure him into that room and get him to teleport into that corner if not follow you up there close enough and wait till he uses his lamp spell to put you to sleep to move to the edge of the pit on the other side of the room.

Sometimes it depends the direction your character is facing too. I’ve had runs where any direction that my character was facing was where he’d spawn.

Then either you are the wrong area or you’ve already defeated Daimon. If you did the later then you’ll have to restart your game progress so that you’ll have to start the game from the beginning but keep everything else that you’ve earned including experience points.

I’ve tried using the boost but only once and though its just too time consuming trying to save up for exp boosters and demon periapts so I just do the way you see in the video. Once you get a feel for how to do it correctly it becomes pretty easy to do especially once you figure out how to glitch him into the corner. Basically this is the most efficient way to pull it off without a major investment. Just buy two barb nails to increase your knockdown power and equip anything that gives you more knockdown power and smash on normal mode. Once you are about 150-170 you should have power to knock him on Hard Mode but also just mostly depends on your weapons knockdown power so I recommend trying to do some quick Lv3 weapon farms on BBI or invest into the periapts. Fortunately when I did this video I already had one of the strongest staffs for my sorcerer since someone gifted me some Lv 3’s to purify. I’ve been playing the game on and off since it’s release date and over the several years I noticed that no one had yet to put up a pure Magic’s build Death farm without using throwables which to me is too far of a hassle because A; you’ll weigh too much and can easily be killed or B; your companion will end up in a situation that will get you both killed. Either way I just didn’t care to do it so I always did it this way. I’ve made a pure Magic’s sever al times on multiple accounts on both Xbox as well as PlayStation so it’s just years of experience.

Infinite cringe did it with warrior by just smacking them while they were over the edge it was pretty funny.

@@regretfullchief8866 I tried that strategy with the Warrior, I had to hit death with 2 Arcs of Obliteration with an upgraded Lv1 BBI Weapon (Wounded Heart) + single Barbed Nail to successfully knock it down the pit on Hard mode. It's also good to bring Monk Periapt/Sobering Wine to prevent yourself getting sleep as you charge the attack.

Read all the other comments, it works just takes patience lol. If you’re trying to do this on Hard Mode then it’s not going to work because you won’t have enough knockdown power at a low level. Play on normal mode until you get to avoid Lv 100 or 150 by farming Death the way I’m showing you in the video. Another option is to imbue your weapon with holy then spam charged bolts while he’s hovering over the waterfall. Lastly I recommend you look up some weapon farming guides to get yourself a powerful staff that will seriously help. I was lucky enough that a few ppl sent me some cursed weapons to purify. I ended up getting a Dragon’s Risen staff which is more than enough to knock him down on normal mode. After you gain your levels from normal mode, fight a Cursed dragon until your staff becomes dragon forged then try and get it to Silver and Gold dragon forged. After that you’ll be ready for Hard Mode Death. Seems like a lot of work but it’s actually in less time consuming in the long run and less frustrating than running through BBI with 100 throwable items in your bag. Plus it’s going to take a while to collect all those. Try charged bolts if my method isn’t working. If still having trouble then try the bombs.
