I love using pedals, but I have no subtlety - no finesse. It would be great if you did a pedal roundup showing perhaps the best way to get the best use out of various types of commonly used pedals. I find your videos very informative.
Try looking up your favorite guitarists’ pedal setup and take a close look at the settings on their pedals, then adjust from there. Great way to start finding your finesse
I love this demo! “This is the sound I want, and this is how I get it.” I get tired of demos where the player aimlessly turns knobs and pulls switches. Well done.
Hi Ross, I’d just like to say that this, as a demo, strikes me as close to perfect. We know you can do fretboard pyrotechnics but, in order to show the effect of manipulating the settings, you played (very interesting and delicate) chord sequences and repeated the same figures for the sake of comparison. The explanation of the controls at the start was beautifully clear, both words and visuals. If there was one further thing I’d like to have known it was your exact signal chain. But thank you. A lovely bit of work.
Just bought this pedal because I love a good chorus and was looking to upgrade. Honestly haven't found a review that has the tone I'm looking for until I came across this video. Beyond stoked that I ordered it now and I'll definitely be referencing this video once it arrives! Cheers
This is my favorite type of gear review video. Not only is it in-depth and informative but it's done with truly melodic compositions, not random noodling. So, for me, it doubles as a guitar lesson.
Awesome review Ross. Glad they fixed their switch issue as that was always one of the pedal’s shortcomings. Can you do 90’s dark and brooding chorus sounds with this pedal? I noticed it didn’t have any EQ settings.
Loved all the songs that you played in this video Ross! Would love to see some more videos like this (especially if you make such beautiful covers of Mateus Asato!). But I love your own improv's too very much!! Basically I love it all😂😂
Not massive on playing with chorus but it's an enjoyable sound, and if I ever do buy a chorus pedal then this vid has probably convinced me to get the Julia. Those P90s sound fantastic btw.
I have an old line 6 chorus pedals hat just died on me. I just ordered the Julia as a replacement. Pretty excited, I’ve wanted the Julia for about a year now.
Came here for the pedal but stayed for your cool playing. Just a question please: what are the subjects I should improve to get to play your beautiful arrangement of Don't dream it's over? I'm at intermediate level: I have good knowledge of harmony, chords, scales and all the stuff but that thinking of an arrangement like that requires skills that I don't have. What should I learn to get to that level?
Nice playing nice demo overall. Very moved by the crowded house riffing that was awesome. Look I'm going to be rewatching this trying to learn some of those shapes.. if you got any tablature even if minimal, I'd appreciate it.
Great demo, excellent sounding pedal. Still, save $100 and get the MXR Analog Chorus. Gets all your chorus tones plus low and high EQing. No vibrato but get a Behringer UV300 if you're dying to have one.
Is this the only analogue chorus around these days? I think the Boss ones are digital. That's probably the best selling point of this thing. The fact that it's an analogue unit rather than digital.
Hey, there are actually a few points in the video with the dry signal but thank you! And the plug-ins I use for videos are all from Pixel Film Studios. I can't remember the exact name of the pack.
Great demo video Ross! You always seem to demo pedals that I end up buying! I love how you show the settings you use as well...you give some very helpful tips to getting started with the gear! Fantastic playing and content as usual! Thanks for putting this together! Adam
I have one of these but it won’t turn on i plugged it in right put I still can turn it on. Can someone please help me update: I found out that I need a power adapter do you have any suggestions for one??
@@RossCampbellGuitarist scientist confirm, that it's enough to wash your hands regularly with water/soap. Sanitizer is too much. My girlfriend is a nurse. And believe me... you don't want to use as much! All the best to you, man!
All over. Been based in Edinburgh for 7 years now though. Hah, it is a great pedal I'm sure but I'll bet there's already a thousand videos of it on RUclips
7:34 you almost played the forbidden riff
I usually think chorus pedals sounds cheesy but you make this one sounds so good ! Especially when you set it more on the detune/vibrato side !
Thanks man!

8:55 Lovely take on the Crowded House classic.
Mateus fan?
100%
yes, timeless and very beautiful
This is by far the best demo of this pedal on RUclips. And the reason I'm clicking the "Add to cart" button right now! Thanks.
Knobs demo helped me make this purchase

That's really neat man! Love when someone showcases products that are unique!
Love this pedal, I have the v1 and its awesome. Also love the Don't Dream It's Over!
Absolutely gorgeous sounds! Thank you for sharing them with us!
Holy shit that intro jam was fantastic make that a full song please
This video is worth the rewatch for the beautiful version of Don't Dream It's Over
I believe that the original cover that he is playing in the video is by mateus asato
Just got the pedal. thanks for this. Great settings. use your "current" on setting currently.
Awesome review Ross. Glad they fixed their switch issue as that was always one of the pedal’s shortcomings. Can you do 90’s dark and brooding chorus sounds with this pedal? I noticed it didn’t have any EQ settings.
In love with that Les Paul of yours. Great demo BTW!

Gorgeous Prince chords/tones...
What a great video. Thanks for helping me navigate my new Julia!
Hey Ross, your demo here got me looking at Walrus stuff and landed on the Julianna, same tones with a few more features. Thanks
I think I could pull of the weird effected clean tone on Carlos Santana's Europa with this! I still can't tell if its Chorus, Vibe, Phaser, or Vibrato
Thank you for a great demo and for showing the slowest rate of vibrato 👍
Super nice review, you cycle through all possibilities in a smart way, thanks for sharing :)

You had me at "Black Hole Sun"
Absolutely ming review mate. Great description and settings showcase
Thanks!
thanks for taking the time for all of your videos
Thanks for watching them! :)
Beautiful playing sir
Thank you
Cool pedal.
RIP C. Cornell.

Sounds so good. Walrus is gonna take all my money.

excellent playing!

Beautiful Crowded House cover.

Walrus is taking half of may paycheck rn.
very good demo
Can i ask where you got the bare foot covers for your ARP footswitches?
Do you think this would sound good for bass guitar?
Yes brother great video just wished you would have done the dry signal first - sounds 👍🏽
What song was that “hey now, hey now...”
Also - what plugins pack did you use for your call outs?
Hey, there are actually a few points in the video with the dry signal but thank you! And the plug-ins I use for videos are all from Pixel Film Studios. I can't remember the exact name of the pack.
Awesome thank you 🙏🏽
Great demo Ross 👍
Thank you!
I have one and I like it but wish it had a volume adjust - it has a volume boost (like many chorus pedals have) which I don't like.
Really like this pedal. Cool vid. What's the name of the song @ 7:35? thx.
7:52 sounds like a song I’ve heard before but I can’t remember it. Anyone have any idea?
I also need to know what this song is.
Don’t fear the reaper?
Ride On? AC/_C
Van Halen eruption Intro live
Ah it's an Eastman! Even better! I have a T486B - love it.
Nice demo indeed!

Thanks so much!
Sounds ace!
Hey Ross, what is this 80’song at 08:50 and did you tab it?
That is mateus asato's version of dont dream its over by crowded house.
jeez thats bright
I have one of these but it won’t turn on i plugged it in right put I still can turn it on. Can someone please help me
update:
I found out that I need a power adapter do you have any suggestions for one??
great video ross. Crowded House was brilliant
Nice crowded house..But I liked the split ends better:)
Does it have stereo for TRS?
black hole sun kind of vibe
whats the song close to the end
This or the Elecro-Harmonix Canyon Delay will be the next pedal I buy. Can't make my mind up lol.
This... don’t get the canyon
It's been a year if you haven't gotten the canyon aswell. I have both and they will never leave my board
Bro can you bring another lockdown lick please? 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Tomorrow!
Awesome also great pedal demo man love to watch your videos
10:11! OMG
Is the pedal noisy? Anything negative about it?
Nope!
Okay great! Really thinking about getting it
Not sure if this is any use to you, but the V1 version of this pedal makes a click noise when turning it on that the V2 version does not.
1:09 Purple Rain?
Definitely. :)
Julia discovered Facetune Lol! Good stuff! Oh Mateus Asato nice!
First!
Again! Unbelievable 👏
I know! On a serious note I have Julia and it's great
@@DovydasMusic Damn you're everywhere, if it's good enough for DØVYDAS, than it's good enough for me!
Stunning demo Ross. Great job
Killer rendition of “Don’t Dream It’s Over”! Well done! 🇺🇸🎸
You've been eating your Readybrek this morning?
Have you stopped doing Guitar Tutorials / Licks ????????????
No. I'll have new lessons out very soon
What kind of pick ups is he using?
P90s
Very nice sound(s)! :) But man, what happend to your hands? Too much washing/disinfection? Seems like a typical allergy. Stay safe, man! :)
I think my colour grading makes it look worse than it actually is but yeah I've been using hand sanitiser a lot so that's probably the root of it.

Roland Jazz Chorus 120 amp sounds better.
Great demo, fuck walrus audio for not making this stereo
I miss the old Design of the pedal :,(
Where ye fae Ross? and come on, get a video up about Strymon big Sky, the best pedal on earth
All over. Been based in Edinburgh for 7 years now though. Hah, it is a great pedal I'm sure but I'll bet there's already a thousand videos of it on RUclips
@@RossCampbellGuitarist yea, but I'd like to see how you use It, with your skills
The hiss from this pedal is awful
Does no one use distortion on these reviews. Sad bad review
