I am a 100K player myself who also plays Wadrhun, and I agree with a lot of the stuff you guys are discussing. Very well put together, guys. I would like to add my perspective. First, the Hunter Cadre. I think they are a great Ranged unit, when they have an Imperial Officer attached, that gives them Fire & Advance + Murderous Volley. Murderous Volley has an effect range of 12 inches, which means the Hunters can sit at 12" and shoot (causing Morale tests), and the enemy cannot afford to ignore it. They must attempt to charge it, which usually means a Move+Charge. If you win initiative next round, you can hit the enemy first, effectively giving you 2 opportunitites to attack before the enemy can. And you corrrectly pointed out it has Fiend Hunter + Null Mage, which in my opinion is super useful against Wadrhun and other factions which loves monsters and brutes.
Second, the Household Knights in my opinion are super useful as a giant block of Hammer, to oneshot-kill anything it charges, bar none. Bring the Mounted Noble Lord with Speed of Horse, give it Olefant's Roar, do not forget Veteran to give it an extra Clash value, go all in. A 9-stand block will reliably generate 30+ hits of Brutal Impact and Terrifying. Kills all but the hardiest, tankiest, blocks of flesh. And even if the enemy did not outright rout, it will be severely crippled. This is 100K's "problem solver" against tanky Dragon Slayers and hardy Monsters.
Third, Mounted Squires, I think are usually underrated. It has impressive potential to shackle enemy ranged units. Also, with Opportunist rule, it carries the threat of flanking. And almost always, it is enough to affect the enemy's positioning. With clever play, your Mounted Squires will modify the way your opponent deploys, advances, and faces. Another thing, it is a great combination to bring with the Longbows, because if you run it ahead of your Longbows at an angle, you pin the enemy back at a great distance from your Longbowmen, protecting them.
Fourth, the Household Guards for me, is thrash. It has very little offensive threat, the opponent can just ignore it. That is when it is compared to the Household Knights. So just bring the horses. If you need to hold an objective, use the Knights until some other Heavy infantry comes along, say a Steel/GIlded Legion.
Fifth, the Steel vs Gilded Legion "which do I bring?" I am of the opinion that the Steel is almost like a trap. It carries so much threat that opponents will try to target it first. You're lucky if you get to attack with it twice. Because if the enemy devotes a big unit to take it down, it will go down. The Gilded Legion, has more staying power, and is slightly cheaper. You can absolutely use a big block of it to hold an objective until the end of the game. Especially when paired with a healing Water Mage. So, depending on the scenarion pick according to your needs.
Sixth, the Militia Bowmen. I agree that it is complete rubbish. So, I would argue that it is the perfect foil to setup a huge combo for the Houshold Knights. You position the HH Knights behind the hapless bowmen, make it take the charge + clash. See it dissolve before your eyes, and behold, the sea is parted for your Knights to Charge + Clash.
I would like to go on and on, but I fear overstaying my comment welcome. I would love to hear what the community think about my opinions. Love you guys, keep making great content!

Never fear overstaying your comment welcome, we love it! Putting the IO with the Hunter Cadre with murderous volley is a very cool idea! Isaac continues to love Militia despite them being rubbish - check out our latest video where he uses the bowmen in First Blood as a melee threat! But yes, in Last Argument they are probably best used as a sacrificial lamb to set favorable conditions for your good units :)

Always happy to add our ideas to the mix! If you try anything we say here we'd love to hear your results (especially if you try to employ Brannen's Gilded Legion strategy!)

Great video. Would love to see this done for other factions, Spires specifically.

We're formulating how we're going to do a Spires faction focus. They have A LOT going on and our current format would result in a 4 hour video, it seems! But don't worry, we're planning on it!
