I’m with you John with the Three Stooges game…me and my dad used to play that game a ton. It’s such a unique, fun game made up of basically mini-games.
trade n games was my go to site for ordering games not on ebay. they're great for helping complete my genesis titles, since they sell boxes and/or manuals alone as well. Large selection as well.
JJGames used to be my go to for games, but then they switched owners. After that all the prices went way up and for a while it seemed like they only sold really rare games. Lately I've had good success with lukie games. Decent prices and selection.
I used to buy from JJGames a lot...then the site shut down and there was a weird transitional period where the site was a huge mess, and now that it's back up, I can't afford to buy anything. Shipping used to be incredibly cheap before the change (like, $2.50 to ship up to 5 lbs to Canada!), but now it's so insanely expensive I can't do it. :(
I actually like JJ Games quite a lot. I’ve had several bulk purchases with them at prices I liked, packaged well and arrived as advertised. They used to not be very organized and I believe they briefly closed for a while but I’m glad to see them back and will continue to buy from them. Far and away better than DKOldies prices.
So, priority mail was $17.50 and regular was free. It came 4 days later and was priority, lol. A company I buy from is the same way. Free shipping from Washington to NY always comes priority in a few days. Choosing priority at checkout is about $20 as well
Really enjoyed watching this , that website looks awsome. I buy mostly off ebay and sometimes it's just generic picture. Good to see the actual cart you will be getting.
one place that i have ordered from is Grumpy Bob's Emporium. the prices are good i picked up after burner for the master system for $17.99 plus $5.96 shipping
I’m surprised I didn’t see super Mario World or Yoshi’s Island or and of the the Donkey Kong Country games or Super Mario Kart when John was looking at the SNES games
I was a little surprised to see Gauntlet II for almost $20. I don't remember it ever being over $10 when I'd see it...which hasn't been much the last decade or so. Guess that's why
My only problem with buying retro games online is they might look in good condition on the outside but how do you know if they are actually going to work? Whereas in most used game stores you can try out games in the store before buying them to make sure they actually work
@@tr1bes I’ve actually have had quite a few cart based games not work in fact the used game store that I go to i there has been some NES games I wanted and at least maybe 50% of the time I’ve tested them and they didn’t work also haven’t you ever seen John’s open cart surgery videos? And sometimes John can’t even get them working even after he tries to fix them so therefore there is the risk of cart games not working as well so that’s why I wouldn’t buy a used game unless I’m able to test it before purchase in fact I’ve had more cart game fail on me than discs games also not too long ago I had to buy myself another copy of the NES game Super Mario Bros. 2 because the copy I had kept failing each time I tried playing it and yes I tried cleaning it and it still failed so cart games still have the risk of failing and that’s why I would try to avoid buying used games online if possible because I like testing my used games before buying them if possible
dude..... Did you know "Frute Brute" is back?!?! I'm about to have a bowl Edit: I had a bowl, it was good, pretty close to Frankenberry but more of a strawberry flavor. tastes like the strawberry shortcake ice cream popsicle.
Duuude, I heard you joke about Magic Knight Rayearth... I ran into a game lot lately and bought all the Saturn games available (25 each!) - one of which waaaaaassss - Rayearth!! Sold that sucker on eBay since I don't collect Saturn, made me some loot!
What are some other online video game stores I should check out?
DKOldies
eStarland
Lukiegames
Double Jump Video Games
Lukie Games

Only Mr. John Riggs could make browsing a website a fun video...Good 'onya, mate! 💥💥
Just finished reading the description making sure this wasn't sponsored. Thank you for the utmost clarity lol
haha, yep. I decline probably 95% of potential sponsored videos but I'll still do a few that make sense for me.

Same. So many great deals from them on EVERYTHING back in the day. If I wanted a cart and didn't care about condition, there were some bargains.
I absolutely love these videos. Normally, I hate shopping...unless it's for games, consoles, and high performance engine parts.
Love the way you did this . Showyou ordering the games and then showing them when they arrived . Great idea for a video !!!! 👍 .
I love that you've been looking at online stores lately.

They scratchy discs and the return policy was awful, hopefully it's better but I still wouldn't buy from there
Whatever you do, don’t buy from DK Oldies. Their prices are atrocious.
what do you mean, I love buying loose cartridges for the same price they go for cib...
I just price checked several games between the two sites and every single one was cheaper on DKs site. I'm not even trying to be rude.
Is that an online store?
This is no better. $91 for a loose Darkwing Duck? It goes regularly for $75.

They still sell some scratchy games if you're unlucky but at least they don't charge you 3 times the price unlike DKoldies
JJ Games was my go to store for about 4 years. The inventory for the last 2 years was really dry. I am glad that they have managed to stay afloat!
Rip to Pokemon Ruby wait-list fans that were waiting 4 years
I did not know that "The Legend of Zelda" was originally a black cartridge. Thank you Mr. Riggs for pointing it out to me!!
Those prices seemed kinda high IMO
Always good to see all the options available

Dude, this is awesome! I saw some games in there I may check out when I get paid!!
Y'all have to check out their OG XBox section priced high to low. They have so many sealed games!
I wish John checked out the Atari Lynx games
Good stuff. Fun video. Thanks for the upload.
Really enjoyed watching this , that website looks awsome. I buy mostly off ebay and sometimes it's just generic picture. Good to see the actual cart you will be getting.
I bought 2 games from them and both were disk only games shipped in thin paper mailers and one was completely cracked through
Really love this video! Would love for you to give us a review of these online sites
Championship bowling is such a great game to play with a friend or 2 or 3
This was a fun video.. I actually purchased Phalanx on the snes while watching lol
one place that i have ordered from is Grumpy Bob's Emporium. the prices are good i picked up after burner for the master system for $17.99 plus $5.96 shipping
NARC for $7.75 seemed like a decently fair price imo!
I’m surprised I didn’t see super Mario World or Yoshi’s Island or and of the the Donkey Kong Country games or Super Mario Kart when John was looking at the SNES games
And thats why i switched to famicom, got megaman 5 gor 20$ shipped from japan!
Tried to check out website, site seems to be down.
I was a little surprised to see Gauntlet II for almost $20. I don't remember it ever being over $10 when I'd see it...which hasn't been much the last decade or so. Guess that's why
I’m surprised I didn’t see Super Mario 64 or Mario Kart 64 when John was looking at the N64 games
I seen a few jackels at the used spot for $7.99 each lol I should get one as it was a fun game driving snd blasting and co opp too ✌️
Nice pickups John!
Thumb drive with 780 plus snes. 500 plus nes. I have duel orb 2 in Japanese and English. 😎
Always wondered about the people behind price charting.
Darkwing Duck and Power Blade are the last expensive games to get on my list. Almost done!
so close! And those are both easily getable.
My only problem with buying retro games online is they might look in good condition on the outside but how do you know if they are actually going to work? Whereas in most used game stores you can try out games in the store before buying them to make sure they actually work
Majority of cart base games work. Disc base games are iffy.

If they don't work, you can return them... and if they refuse force a return (on Amazon or eBay) and/or do a credit card chargeback.
This was really enjoyable more videos like this would be awesome.
I miss the days of walking into Gamestop and buying like 20 NES games for 99 cents each.
John Riggs brings the biggs
They don't do cheap shipping overseas anymore like they used to be.
Pokémon emerald was my favorite
Being legally named Bucky I wish I would’ve kept my copy of BOH.
I’ll likely never find a copy for a reasonable price.
Cheers to emus
$119 for tmnt 3 radical rescue... Cripes!!
Good game hunting John. Love it❤❤❤
Great idea! Just don't tell MJR, he is doing all the legwork for us.
They seem to be high prices to me.
I guess JJGames is no longer using pricecharting?
My wife thought i was stupid for paying $250 for a complete Mega Man set CIB 15 years ago. Lol!
dude..... Did you know "Frute Brute" is back?!?! I'm about to have a bowl Edit: I had a bowl, it was good, pretty close to Frankenberry but more of a strawberry flavor. tastes like the strawberry shortcake ice cream popsicle.
If you buy Mario Paint without the mouse, then technically it’s unplayable
Riggs, that hat. WHERE CAN WE GET THAT HAT.
JJGames owns/created PriceCharting
Ironic because JJGames was selling Pirates for $51.70, and on PriceCharting it's valued at $26.65... almost twice the price.
Oooooooooo
Yeah learning shopping 😊
25.9.22
You had to show me another game site thanks. My bank account loves it..... lol
Duuude, I heard you joke about Magic Knight Rayearth... I ran into a game lot lately and bought all the Saturn games available (25 each!) - one of which waaaaaassss - Rayearth!! Sold that sucker on eBay since I don't collect Saturn, made me some loot!
Carroll Estates
I've bought from JJ games before I've had a positive experience
Gretchen Flats

Infiltrator should be free

Koch Orchard
alot of those games arent worth the price they ask for em no matter where they are
Gabe Rest
112 bucks for home alone that's crazy it's a horrible game I think it's worse than E.T for Atari
Wacky Races
King of kings is a fun game = )
👍👍
You probably didn't want to advertise that you lick packing peanuts and then reuse them for games you sell on Whatnot.
haha, I won't use those ones for shipping.
