I have noticed that many of us Hobonichi users also have a Stalogy and/or a Weeks. I just emailed Hobonichi and begged them to make an A5 slim with the cousin layout but lots of blank pages like the Weeks Mega. Sometimes having dated pages is a drag, so I hear ya on not having enough space. I need blank pages so I can use them as daily pages for work. I work 180 days (school district) so dated daily pages = lots of wasted pages.
Yes! The cousin only having like 3 blank grid pages in the back is hard. I have thought about getting the Day Free. The weeks is just too small for me. Though portability is nice on the weeks. However I rarely leave the house so its not a big deal for me right now, ha!
Im new to the Hobonichi world - 2022 will be my first year using it. I loved the idea of a yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily in one planner cause that’s what I do now in my bujo, but it’s annoying having to change books every semester and having to redraw out my yearly and monthly’s. I bought the Hobonichi notebooks for that exact reason: a single daily page will not be enough some days. As a grad student, I have 1-1 meetings with my advisor, lab meeting, TA meetings; I’m also part of the grad student organization and am on a symposium planning committee - they don’t happen every day, but on days they do happen, I need more space to write, to the point that I sometimes use 4 or 5 pages for a single day. I haven’t started using the Hobonichi cousin yet, but I have gone ahead and transitioned my fall 2021 bujo from a leuchtturm to the Hobonichi notebook.
Subbie #40!!!! I use by Hobo Weeks (not mega) as my on-the-go planner. It is small enough to fit in every purse I have and the back pocket of my jeans. Because it is so portable, it is the planner I take to all of my appointments which allows me to quickly and easily make sure there is no conflict when I schedule something. Hoping to start my YT channel soon and will include a video on how I manage that with the rest of my planner stack.
I would love to watch that video of yours!! I am struggling so much with using mine. I actually carry a backpack everywhere I go so space isn't really an issue for me, but if I go back to using only a purse I can see that being exactly what I do!!

@@meredithcplans Teacher here too! I use an A5 Stalogy as a teacher planner. I hope Hobonichi produces an academic year planner.
