Just got my first hobonichi cousin this week and I’m loving it. :) great video and love all the positivity on planning styles can wait to check out more videos
Lovely video! I've been waffling back and forth between starting a hobo or a travelers notebook for 2021... very informative and charming :) I would describe my style as part kawaii part vintage part bold abstract so i totally relate with not fitting into any one planner community "aesthetic"
Love this, thank you. So this is my first time with a Cousin Avec and I’m struggling with finding a layout for my weekly and daily. I also have a Weeks which I love but I’m trying to find a grove with the two and how they work together. Would you be willing to show your planning process video for your cousin (weekly and daily)?
newbie question - why do you put the stickers on your hand before you put them on the page? thank you for the video!! - oh, never mind, I just heard you speak about it in "hobonichi hacks #1 video" :)
Thanks for the welcoming, informative intro to Hobo. Expands my mind on its possibilities. Love how minimal a blank slate it is to become any style, like with those clever stickers. Been bullet journaling on-and-off for years. Been lleaning towards continuing only creating all my own layouts so I can keep trying and switching any layout style whenever with full creative control and fun of drawing it out. But could save time to just let Hobo make my calendars instead! I love color and art in life (natural-boho-romantic-whimsical) but with planners keep my #1 focus on function and keep it simple, nothing overly time-intensive or distracting. Loving the amazingly helpful RUclips/blog planner community (I avoid Instagram and FB - too distracting for me). Eagerly learning how best to upgrade my cheapo Dollar Tree versions of notebooks and pens. Definitely want 3 inserts in a vegan Traveler's Notebook (or vegan cover such as Lihit Lab Smart or Kakuyo Systemic): (1) calendars (which could be Hobo if it doesn't limit me too much), (2) daily bujo, (3) notes/projects/misc. This comment was very long haha, oh well.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, I love reading them! I would love to use a Bullet Journal system myself but I realized I needed a system that will stay consistent so when I look back for something I can find it easily. I am all for DIY's and using something cheap as long as I can make it functional too! I loved reading about your planner setup, I hope you have a wonder rest of your week!
love your stickers! I always do Spring start to see how everyone uses theirs and gain inspiration and I am due to order mine soon! I currently use my A6 for memory planning and a pocket filofax for planning but i’m debating to use a cousin for memory planning and as a planner. still undecided. Do you know where I can get refills for the uni pens that come with the hobonichi?? I LOVE them too and i’m always so sad when my black ink runs out and it’s the only one I use in my hobonichi.
I didn't realize it was an avec so when you were doing the stickers for the calendex and habit trackers I was so confused! But that's absolutely genius now that I realize how you made it work! I'm still trying to decide if I want an A5 or and A6, the transportability of an A6 really appeals but I love the A5 weekly layout. But either way I'll get the avec to make carrying it easier :)
I started my hobonichi journey with AVECS and I really enjoy them! I use both sizes and love the layouts of both! The weekly pages are what I buy the cousin for! The A6 is perfect for my journal. I've been testing the A6 Day free but I don't think it could fully replace my Cousin! Happy Hobonichi day!
Hi Arie, thank you for sharing! Im thinking of getting my first cousin. But noticed the times on the pages are 24 hr, suggestions on how to change that to 12 hour times?
Yes the hourly section has a 24hr timeline on both the daily and weekly. I can try my best to design 12 hour time strips and list them in my shop. Which layout were you intending to reformat the daily or weekly?
Hi, your tips were very useful, even for someone who doesn't really use a Hobonichi (I digital plan, but I like to watch paper planning videos.) However, it was a little frustrating to watch because your lights are so bright that it's difficult to see any of the printing in the Hobonichi itself or on the stickers you added. I did really appreciate your calm manner and sense of ease when you decided to reposition stickers on camera.
Love that planner cover. It’s very cute!!!
Thank you Jayjay it is one of my favourites! Thanks for watching
Your monthly tabs are SO perfectly lined up. Goals 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
It took some practice believe me haha. Hopefully putting on this years tabs will be painless!

Tort تورت I am glad I am not the only one struggling with sticking to a certain aesthetic. I guess we can say our aesthetic is our own!
Awesome video!! I'm waiting on my very first Cousin- should be here any day! Can't wait to get started! Thank-you!
Yay! I hope you enjoy it! Happy Planning
Me too.

I will love to film something for my cousin. I might film a flip of my first month soon!
Is the fountain pen ink visible on the other side of the paper?

There are jet stream refills on amazon and if you are from the US jetpens also sells them!
Arie Bea yay thanks! I saw them on amazon but the comments were saying that they weren’t the ones in the photos. so i will try jetpens

Arie Bea the weekly is the one I will use the time slots for the most.
Hi! What are the names of the exact specific stickers used here? I went to your site and want to order THESE! 😍
Hello! I've updated my description box with direct links to the products that I used! Thank you for you interest ❤️
I love your cover for your hobonichi :) where can i get it?
I bought it from a local pen shop but they don't carry it anymore. It is originally from the Hobonichi website!
This was great! TFS 👌🏻
Thank you for watching! ❤️

Hello thanks for watching. I generally like to use natural light in my videos and prefer not to edit my colors. I will try to fix it for future videos
Thank you for this.
Thank you for watching!

This cover is from the Hobonichi store!
@@ariebea thank you girl!! i just ordered it !!! can't wait! how long did it take to come to you (assuming you did international shipping) ??
@@alicet324 It should probably take about a week or so! Shipping from the Hobonichi website is pretty fast!
