They are on another level, you are correct sir!....The buff one, that is Midori, she is a bodybuilder/bikini fitness model when she's not melting your face on guitar.
That's Lovebites -each and every song an adventure. They are the paragon of perfection in today's Metal and light years ahead of any competition in the field.
Lovebites are amazing! Asami has some power, that's for sure. They're all ridiculously talented. Check out something live from them. They're amazing live too.
Great feedback and insights to Judgement Day from this exceptional and transcendent band! You'll discover that LOVEBITES exudes musicianship excellence in every sense of the word. They compose and arrange their own songs--and chose to sing in English (with lyrics that speak to both deep personal and universal themes)--which is a rather challenging feat for native Japanese speakers (which is why the other Japanese bands largely shy away from such). But this reflects their vision and determination to make their mark globally. As for their committment to their craft, you'll discover that in their live concerts, you have five petit women (ranging from 4' 9" to 5' 2") who don't "look metal" but play setlists of 16-18 high-skilled, high-energy, intricate music for over 2 hours! For such reasons, and more, I've found LOVEBITES to be such an inspirational and transcendent band. They are destined to etch their place in the annals of music ... despite that they remain largely under the radar in the West. But that's bound to change with more exposure from musicians like yourself.
Thanks so much Bernard, great to see you here in the comments!! Lovebites is definitely an incredible band to be introduced to...this is one of the main reasons I love doing these videos (learning new music). Thank you again! ✌
Not my style of music. But they are cool. Sort of inverse Slayer. Angels fighting against Demons. I'd definitely go see them. Seems like a good show. I love their new bass player. She plays bass in a metal band AND is a big Vocaloid fan. I am in love. Of course I loved their old bass player too. I am a big fan of Destrose. For those who don't know she was in Destrose also Haruna the drummer and a guitarist for Nemophila. Along with tons of other people. Destrose hemoraged members.
Lovebites is a phenomenal band. In 2018 they won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. They are among the elite of Japanese metal bands. Now do their song Set The World on Fire live next.
@@musikbyjh After their original bassist and founder Miho left, the band took a hiatus in mid 2021. With that and the pandemic, Midori Tatematsu took on lifting weights and a year later she enteted her first fitness competition and placed 6th. Three months later she placed 2nd in her second competition. Not bad for a beginner. About Midori, she quit attending a pharmacy university in Osaka at the age of 20 and switched to a music academy, the Musicians Institute Japan also in Osaka to learn how to play the electric guitar. 5-6 years and a band later she gets invited by Miho and joins Lovebites. The institute also has main campus located in Los Angeles. Midori is the pure shredder of the two lead guitarists with knowing every guitar trick in the book. Although Miyako, the other guitarist is in her own right having impressive skills and musical pedigree.
Since 2016 i've been stop listening metal cause there is no new good stuff sold me out even babymetal can't sold me out, but in 2023 i found lovebites and i've been sold to this band and i started to listening more metal again Lovebites need more attention cause their influence can bring new generation
The album was originally recorded with a generic bass line recorded by Miyako (Dean V signature guitar and Dimaback, dark hair). Fami, who is ten years younger than her band mates is a slapping and tapping maestro, though I agree that it is not obvious in the mix. She recorded her bass lines at home, wired them in for approval and tweaked here and there, but listen to the four guitar solos and how she plays under them with four distinct rhythms, all following the overall four solo progression. This band is the best this 63 year old has ever heard. They are incapable of anything below the level you just heard, and the album of the same name is (and I know it’s a word that is tossed about liberally) a masterpiece in fast, powerful, hard heavy metal. PS, great reaction! Pps, their music is mixed and mastered by the Finns who work with Nightwish).
@yann messager-bourget I’ve amended it because it is confusing. It was recorded INITIALLY with a generic bass line for guidance, laid down by Miyako. Fami then recorded her bass lines at her *OWN* home. How do I know? Because it’s credited on the CD notes. And they are FAMI’S bass lines. I went to see the band in Japan and I have four Japanese magazines that interview the band. Fami is playing Fami bass lines, recorded at Fami studio.
this band is a rabbit hole. So many great live performance, : "Swan Song with Chopiin intro" is a must see as is " Awaken? Hammer Of Wrath live" and "Break The Wall ". Best metal band out there live today.if you see these 3 songs you will see why. They have reset the bar for live performances. btw homegirl is a competition body builder with 6 pack goin on.
The two guitarists, " M & M " Midori ( blonde ) and Miyako, are my favorite guitar duo on the planet !! Check out their newest release, " Stand & Deliver. " 😏❤️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘P.S. the new bass player is Fami, and that's who you see. She was hired in Oct & I can hear her slapping the bass.
Yep ! "Badass all way around" speak about badass, can you believe that drummer (Haruna) is only 4,9" tall ? Check her drumwork in every lovebites' track...She's a beast, bro! Badass drummer 🔥 HAIL LOVEBITES 🤘
Thanks for the reaction. LOVEBITES have released about 60 original songs and musical compositions ( 2017-2023) I suggest you check: LOVEBITES "The Awakening"/ "The Hammer of Wrath" . These are the first 2 tracks from the Album "Awakening from Abyss" (October 2017) . A music track that transitions (without a break) into a song.
Thanks for watching and this comment!! Good news! A wonderful person donated coffees for these two songs and I'll be recording and posting soon. Stay tuned, and thanks again for being here!
Once bitten forever smitten, the name lovebites and their reputation for being flawless with no bad songs and a catalogue of masterpieces is spreading far and wide thanks to reactors so cheers and enjoy... 🤘🎤🎹🥁🎸🐺
Glad You enjoyed this. I like when You switched on the enginering mode! One of the best metal bands out there...All super technically. Believe me that they are better live! They have this tempo for 2 hours set. The drummer Haruna is a pocket nuke 4.9 inch or 145 centimeter in the rest of the world...Oh by the way... I come from Sweden. and You got ÖRN right but BERG is more pronounced BERJ.
Bro you really want to see why love bites is so special you need to watch them live. Awesome reaction and I can't wait to watch you watching more lovebites .
Nice Reaction. *Fami* does slap in this version, but she doesn't pop (Listen close and you can tell she's not using a pick OR finger-picking on those 'thumps'. The black hair guitar/piano/composer/engineer *Miyako* charted the bass parts while they were looking for a new bassist. After they got Fami, she changed the bass part up to fit her playstyle. This is their first album since they came from a hiatus caused by the old bass player leaving, and Miyako and *Asami* (vocals/lyrics) going on maternity leave. *Midori* (guitar and guns) - *Haruna* (4'9" Powerhouse on drums) *Love* bites They are best appreciated Live - *_Holy War_* ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html 🤘🐺🤘
Man I hope you brought your parachute cause the Japanese metal scene is pretty deep! Check it out: Destrose (Formed in 2005 as Destroya...changed their name to Destrose in 2007 and started the all-female metal bands boom in Japan! Disbanded in 2015. You'll see "Destrose" a lot in this list!) Aldious (The veterans of the bunch, formed in 2008. Can play anything from pop-rock to full-on thrash metal!) Fate Gear (Formed in 2015 by Destrose founding member Mina) Lovebites (Formed by ex-Destrose members Rosana Miho & drummer Haruna in 2016) Nemophila (Super group formed by ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu, ex-Mary's Blood/Destrose guitarist Saki, ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki, ex-Soramimi drummer Tamu and ex-Holderlings bassist Haraguchi-san) Hagane (Formed in 2019 featuring two of the youngest gunslingers around, Sakura & Mayto) Bridear (Another veteran group, formed in 2011. Already toured Europe 6 times! BTW, like Iron Maiden, they have a monster mascot named The Bride! Check out their song "Bloody Bride - Live"!) Hanabie (I'm not gonna say anything about this group other than DROP WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING AND GO CHECK THEM OUT RIGHT NOW, especially the song "We Love Sweets"!) D_Drive (Instrumental hard rock/heavy metal. Everyone in this band is a virtuoso.) Asterism (Read "D_Drive". Their guitarist, Hal-ca, is only 20 yo! The band have been together since she was 12-13!) Ark Royal (Young heavy metal/thrash metal band formed 4 years ago. Picking up fans by the minute!) Unlucky Morpheus (Another veteran group. Should've been headlining European festivals a long time ago! Best female vocalist in Japan, Fuki.) Galneryus (Power metal freaks! Think Dragonforce but better.) Mardelas (Band formed by former Destrose vocalist Marina Hebiishi - monster pipes!) Band-Maid (Best rock band in the world right now IMO!) Octaviagrace (Featuring another ex-Destrose guitarist named Hanako...as good as Yngwie but prettier!) Trident (young all-female power trio; Japan's "hold-my-beer" to Canada's Rush/Triumph!) Gone but not forgotten (no longer active): X-Japan (THE Japanese metal band!) Mary's Blood (formed in 2009, a year after Destrose initial split by former members.) Telecide (This band had a lot of potential. Drummer Natsumi is now in Bridear. Just released a live video of her drum solo in tribute to legendary drummer Cozy Powell.) Doll$Boxx (A collaboration between members of the pop-rock band Gacharic Spin [check them out also!] and Lightbringer/Unlucky Morpheus vocalist Fuki.) Disqualia (formed by ex-Destrose members after their second and final split) Lightbringer The Uncrowned Sabbat Cyntia Galhammer (All-female thrash/death/black metal band.) The Classics (all of these bands were formed in the 80's and are still around kicking ass!): Show-ya (all-female heavy metal band formed in 1981.) Loudness (Most popular metal band out of Japan.) Ningen Isu (Think Black Sabbath-meets-Opeth.) Anthem 44 Magnum Sex Machineguns (Decided to go with "Machineguns" because they are heavier than the Sex Pistols...their words!) Other popular bands: Hell Freezes Over (80's thrash metal...band formed in 2013) United (another bad-ass thrash metal band) Galmet (all-female thrash metal band) Broken By The Scream Passcode Saiseiga
Whoa!! Awesome list, thank you so much for making time to share this. I copied and saved into my Apple Notes for future additions to my list!!! Thanks again and stay tuned! ✌
@@musikbyjh about Unlucky Morpheus, be sure to also check out their alter-ego band Quadratum. They do instrumental covers of songs from Racer-X, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen & VH among others, with a violin as lead instrument!
Oh say it... takes nothing away from other bands, but this next level is simply next level musicianship. I call it better, and I say that with 50+ years of metal music listening under my belt.
Welcome to lovebites and thank you for doing this reaction, this ladys are so talented, love that drummer so much, her drumming skills and speed OMG ,I can't imagine how lovebites play this kind of music at concert,by the way, you should try to check their live performance, LOVEBITES ROCK
As a next reaction, I recommend this live song that will blow your mind! Because seeing the ladies live is something so perfect, beautiful and powerful. LOVEBITES Set the World on Fire (live 2021) ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html Thanks for the reaction🤘🐺🤘
Yeah maybe re listen too the track with bass turned up and you definitely hear her popping and slapping. I use JBL studio 500 watt powered monitors with Protools and the bass lines in this song are incredible. Dave504 would be proud of the slaps and double slaps that Fami delivers. Great Power Metal band unlike any other. The more you listen closely the more awe you will discover guaranteed. Haruna the drummer is insane if you iso track her work its incredible. Welcome too the Wolfpack.
Thank you for this reaction video. Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in 2018. 2018 - Wacken - Open Air in Germany 2018 - Bloodstock Open Air in England 2019 - Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Belgium 2019 - Download Festival in Spain In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward. Hey Jeremy!! The main structure of the songs for this new album was already in place when Fami joined the band late last year, but she recorded her own basslines with her style!! Most fans will tell you they are amazing Live and i agree!! 😉So i'll recommend a Live one, Holy War - ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html Enjoy!! I see you already know my other fav band Nemophila!! You're in the right path!! 🤘😁🤘
I'll just echo what the other Wolfpack members have already mentioned - this band is phenomenal LIVE ! Just add one more recommendation, a thrashier track : "Thunder Vengeance" [Live at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020]
thats very greatest best masterpiece lovebites judgement day classic album legendary of the world. I love great best band favorite lovebites. thank you lovebites the true heavy power metal forever 🤘🎸
Hi Jeremy, yes Fami the new bassist record this song and all the songs for their new album, you didn't hear popping because she never use that technique, she only slaps to accentuate the notes. And thank you for the reaction, welcome to the wprld of the best metal band this days, they are absolutely amazing
Thank you for the explanation! I appreciate you taking the time. I’m so surprised that even the slapping doesn’t stand out. Plucking is definitely very percussive, but even slapping, you should hear the percussion in it. Unless she’s using a technique I just don’t know of. From the recording, it just sounds like she’s using a pick. (And still not prominent in the mix). Either way…I love seeing her slap that bass! These ladies just rock! Thanks for watching, my friend!
Though I’ve worked on Sony’s sound stages in LA a few times, they do change quite a bit. Which is the point of them. And if they’re good, you’ll never know it’s a sound stage. Also, MOST audio engineers don’t ever set foot in a sound stage. So to imply being an engineer would mean knowing a sound stage instantly, is very false. But it still doesn’t take away from the fact that it LOOKS like a basketball court. Lol 🤘🏽😎🤘🏽
EVERY DAY is Japanese metal day! Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing. In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” ruclips.net/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/видео.html The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: “Set the World on Fire” ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. “Don’t Bite the Dust” ruclips.net/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/видео.html, from the same concert; "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ruclips.net/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/видео.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html; Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” ruclips.net/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/видео.html; And their most reacted-to video, “Holy War”: ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: ruclips.net/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/видео.html. For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" ruclips.net/video/Brmoln5Gxus/видео.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html "Glory to the World" ruclips.net/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/видео.html "Winds of Transylvania" ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html. Finally, the audio tracks of some of the new album are up on youtube, and worth checking out. The band clearly came out swinging and wanted to make a statement. Every song on the album is a showcase of their incredible talent and songwriting capabilities. “Stand and Deliver” is a thrasher with a fun video of them in the studio. “Soldier Stands Solitarily”, the final song on the album, is being touted by some as the best thing they’ve done so far-I encourage you to see and decide for yourself! You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
You seriously need to see one of their many live video's. "Set the world on fire" would be a good one or "Awakening/Hammer of wrath" , "Holy war" , " Break the walls" for some old school thrash vibes maybe? Anything from them is awesome!! Great reactions!! I'm subscribed!!
Welcome to the Wolfpack! (the name for the Lovebites fans :D) - Glad to see you fully enjoying the best metal band on the planet. It's great to see more people discovering our ladies! I encourage you to check out some of their live performances too - in my decades of metal fandom, I've never heard cleaner sound out of a band live. Also, they have white gowns that are their usual "Battle Uniforms", one of their newest songs "Stand and Deliver" is one of the few MVs they have done in casual clothes. Some data on the band: The lead singer (Asami) is the group goofball, and is known as "The One and Only Voice" - and metal is a new genre for her vocally. She does a lot of writing, also. Haruna is the drummer - called "The Little Engine" - because she just crushes the drum parts and rhythm section on every song, and she is completely indefatiguable! Miyako is our dark haired guitarist who also does all the background synth and piano work. In addition, she also writes and does everything with that calm, cool professionalism. :) She is called "The Golden Touch" for a reason - everything she touches turns gold. Midori is the blonde guitarist with the amazing hair, and she is called "The Crazy Shredder" - because, well, it is what it says. She's insanely good and aggressive shredder. She also performs in bodybuilding competitions. :) On bass you have the amazingly talented Fami - who doesn't have a nickname yet - but she really has injected even more energy and passion into the group. Fun fact: Fami is the tallest member of the band, at 5'2" tall. :)

Good reaction. The former bassist Miho, who is the founder/ex-band leader, is a big fan of Steve Harris and plays like him and as good as he does. If you'd like another epic piece in live with surprises, try Swan Song with Revolutionary Etude intro ruclips.net/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/видео.html&pp=ygUTbG92ZWJpdGVzIHN3YW4gc29uZw%3D%3D. It is an exceptional performance in the whole metal history.
If you listen closely you can hear the slap bass in some parts. In particular, you can actually hear it during the guitar solos at a few points, but it's difficult to pick out when you're listening to Miyako and Midori shredding like that, especially if you're hearing them for the first time.
One of the things I feel about Japanese bands is that you can clearly hear each sound of each instrument. In other words, the way all sounds are produced is accurate, and there is no deviation in timing... For proof, listen to the songs of two bands called "Unlucky Morpheus" and "Garnerius"! Both are phenomenal bands in Japan, and actually have a connection with "Love Bites" in some way.
Some Japanese bands, old and new. Take your pick: BAND-MAID [All their songs... really!], LOVEBITES [Break the Wall, Raise some Hell, and all the other songs], BABYMETAL [All their songs, because they are all different], MAXIMUM THE HORMONE [Yoshu Fukushu], DEXCORE [Earthworm], CROSSFAITH [Catastrophe], SiM [Killing Me], NINGEN ISU [Heartless Scat], UNLUCKY MORPHEUS [Black Pentagram], YOUSEI TEIKOKU [Astral Dogma, Patriot Anthem (Live)] and their other band: DenKare [Detonator], COLDRAIN [Die Tomorrow], CRYSTAL LAKE [The Circle], GIVEN BY THE FLAMES [Ronove], LONESOME_BLUE [Face the Fear], ANGRY FROG REBIRTH [2Step Syndrome], SILENTLY SHOOTING TRAITORS [Manipulate], ALDIOUS [Dominator], TRiDENT [Ambivalent, Spoopy, ...], BRIDEAR [Light in the Dark], CINQ ELEMENT [Destiny], MARY'S BLOOD [Marionette], GRAUPEL [Bereavement], DOLL$BOXX [Take my Chance], SOKONINARU [Tenohira De Odoru], HELLO SLEEPWALKERS [Flying Saucer], TELECiDE [Tied up Memories], NEKO [Ghost on a Record], MARDELAS [G-Metal], MERGINGMOON [Greyen], ROTTENGRAFFTY [Hallelujah], JILUKA [Mephisto, Overkill], BROKEN BY THE SCREAM [Emotion Cross-Counter], FATE GEAR [Unbreakable Wings], LYNCH [Devil], GACHARIC SPIN [Mindset], DIR EN GREY [Ningen wo Kaburu], X JAPAN [Kurenai], DAZZLE VISION [Second], DEVILOOF [Torture], JUPITER [My Enemy], NOKUTO [Life of Desire], GALNERYUS [Angel of Salvation], SAISEIGA [Ride On], BLOOD STAIN CHILD [Del-Sol], NEMOPHILA [Rise, Hypnosis], DADAROMA [Lucid Dream], JILUKA [Overkill, or Lluvia], HANABIE [We Love Sweets], A CROWD OF REBELLION [Re:Create of the Re:d], PALEDUSK [Area PD], POLKADOT STINGRAY [any song], MUTANT MONSTERS [Abnormal], BLACKLAB [Insanity], ASTERISM [Fiction, Rising Moon, Unravel, or Church], NOISEMAKER [Hunter or Prey], BiSH [The Night When Stars Twinkle], SCANDAL [A.M.D.K.J.], DEEP GIRL [I kill], Mrs. GREEN APPLE [Inferno], BRATS [Doudatte Yokatta], THE ORAL CIGARETTES [Frenzy Hey Kids!!], GIRUGAMESH [Drain], LiLiHoLi [From Darkness to Light], THE DEVIL’S KILLING MERRY-GO-ROUND [Diabolos], OTOBOKE BEAVER [Love is Short], and many many more...
Japanese Metal Week sounds like it would be the logical extension to your Japanese Metal Day. Or, to save even more time, maybe jump straight to a Japanese Metal Month. Also, Band-Maid have about 120 songs, so a Japanese Rock Day could run daily for about 4 months...by which time they'll probably have released more. Just a thought.
you want to see Fami slapping ?? just react to "Soldier Stands Solitarily" official live video. She have little time to shine there. but we all wait for a live video of "Someone's dream" for a real bass solo. but it's still only audio available right now.
Well I guess I'll subscribe if you have Dimash, Ren and, of course, Lovebites on your roster. Not sure what other Japanese bands you have lined up, but I'd suggest the trio Asterism, and maybe Wagakki Band if you're looking for something unusual.
Well thank you for subscribing!! We've got LOTS more Japanese bands (and the others you mentioned) on the lineup, so stay tuned. So many, I'm thinking "Japanese Metal Saturdays" may become a consistent thing! Thanks again! ✌
I agree that they are excellent musicians. But the song writing is not new or refreshing. It's just a clone of the sound and style Iron Maiden has been playing for the last 30 years. Even the vocal style is a copy of Bruce. Again they are excellent musicians, but it's not in anyway inventive or new.
I feel ya on that. And while I kind of agree…it’s absolutely not anything new…but I challenge anyone to find a style, or chord progression that hasn’t already been done. It’s very rare that we see someone come along that is TRULY unique and new. Very very rare. So your comment could be applied to many many artists. Doesn’t make them bad. We’re just influenced by who we’re influenced by.
@@musikbyjh Hi Jeremy, this Mike Osgood is a known Band Maid toll, so take everything he says with at least 10lbs of salt, he is also hater of LoveBites. by the way, i've been a LoveBites fan since 2020 and he was doing his trolling then....what brought him out from under his rock, was that off handed comment on how this band impressed you the most, and that included his band, Band Maid. so get ready, there may be others.. so you violated the cardinal sin of maid fandom, it's ok to like other bands, but not above Band Maid.😁
@@jerryajc ahhhhh ok. Haha. Thank you for that. I just try to be objective about things. There’s bands that I absolutely love and listen to on the regular, that have carbon copies of other band parts. But I still love them. Oh well. Haha. Thanks for letting me know. It’s not that they impressed me the most, they were just on a different level. Not better or worse…just different. The production, the mixing…but I gotta say, Nemophila, Hannabie, and Jiluka (you’ll see that coming soon. 😉) have probably made the best impression on me so far. Lovebites is phenomenal (at least the 1 song I’ve heard)…but that style of metal just isn’t one I listen to regularly. But all in all, I’m really loving all of this stuff in their own ways, and I’m thinking of doing this every Saturday! (If I can film enough for it…and yes, I like using parentheses))) 🤘🏽😎🤘🏽
welcome to the world of Lovebites the world of beautiful ballads, heavy, power, speed, thrash metal
They are on another level, you are correct sir!....The buff one, that is Midori, she is a bodybuilder/bikini fitness model when she's not melting your face on guitar.
Welcome to LOVEBITES. Wolfpack is here 🐺
That's Lovebites -each and every song an adventure. They are the paragon of perfection in today's Metal and light years ahead of any competition in the field.
LOVEBITES are one of the most musically talented metal bands on the planet. It's almost criminal that they're not better known.
One world-tour will fix that!
Miyako is the Guitar G.O.A.T. and the Musical Messiah
@@musikbyjhI love lovebites judgement day album. you're welcome musik jeremy h have a great weekend god bless 🤘🎸
actually midori the guitarist with the blond hair is a female body builder and joining contest on japan
A plethora of extraordinary talent....This is LOVEBITES 🐺
Lovebites is a phenomenal band. In 2018 they won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. They are among the elite of Japanese metal bands. Now do their song Set The World on Fire live next.
Best band on the planet.
JEEZ US!! The frickin VOICE on that woman... HOLY shit 😂😂😂😂😂
Listen to the guitar solo again, she slaps the shit out of it in some parts
Midori is a bodybuilder/ fitness competitor. Love her style as well.
That explains why she is so RIPPED!! Wow, that's awesome!
@@musikbyjh At the last competition held in Japan, Midori (blonde, guitar) took second place in the category "Body Fitness" (medal)🤗
Midori was renamed Hercules Tatematsu.

They used to say that metal/rock is not dead, it just moved to Japan....but that was over 10 years ago..so many great bands! Lovebites is metal!
Since 2016 i've been stop listening metal cause there is no new good stuff sold me out even babymetal can't sold me out, but in 2023 i found lovebites and i've been sold to this band and i started to listening more metal again
Lovebites need more attention cause their influence can bring new generation
So many great live performance, :
"Swan Song with Chopiin intro" is a must see as is " Awaken?
Oh yeah!!! That bass player looked cool AF!
Here for my daily Lovebites fix 🐺

Yep ! "Badass all way around"
speak about badass, can you believe that drummer (Haruna) is only 4,9" tall ? Check her drumwork in every lovebites' track...She's a beast, bro! Badass drummer 🔥

Glad You enjoyed this. I like when You switched on the enginering mode! One of the best metal bands out there...All super technically. Believe me that they are better live! I wish they had played in my high school gym, too.
You can not go Wrong with Japanese metal/Rock.
Man I hope you brought your parachute cause the Japanese metal scene is pretty deep!
Check it out:
Destrose (Formed in 2005 as Destroya...changed their name to Destrose in 2007 and started the all-female metal bands boom in Japan! Disbanded in 2015. You'll see "Destrose" a lot in this list!)
Aldious (The veterans of the bunch, formed in 2008. Can play anything from pop-rock to full-on thrash metal!)
Fate Gear (Formed in 2015 by Destrose founding member Mina)
Lovebites (Formed by ex-Destrose members Rosana Miho & drummer Haruna in 2016)
Nemophila (Super group formed by ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu, ex-Mary's Blood/Destrose guitarist Saki, ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki, ex-Soramimi drummer Tamu and ex-Holderlings bassist Haraguchi-san)
Hagane (Formed in 2019 featuring two of the youngest gunslingers around, Sakura & Mayto)
Bridear (Another veteran group, formed in 2011. Already toured Europe 6 times! BTW, like Iron Maiden, they have a monster mascot named The Bride! Check out their song "Bloody Bride - Live"!)
Hanabie (I'm not gonna say anything about this group other than DROP WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING AND GO CHECK THEM OUT RIGHT NOW, especially the song "We Love Sweets"!)
D_Drive (Instrumental hard rock/heavy metal. Everyone in this band is a virtuoso.)
Asterism (Read "D_Drive". Their guitarist, Hal-ca, is only 20 yo! The band have been together since she was 12-13!)
Ark Royal (Young heavy metal/thrash metal band formed 4 years ago. Picking up fans by the minute!)
Unlucky Morpheus (Another veteran group. Should've been headlining European festivals a long time ago! Best female vocalist in Japan, Fuki.)
Galneryus (Power metal freaks! Think Dragonforce but better.)
Mardelas (Band formed by former Destrose vocalist Marina Hebiishi - monster pipes!)
Band-Maid (Best rock band in the world right now IMO!)
Octaviagrace (Featuring another ex-Destrose guitarist named Hanako...as good as Yngwie but prettier!)
Trident (young all-female power trio; Japan's "hold-my-beer" to Canada's Rush/Triumph!)
Gone but not forgotten (no longer active):
X-Japan (THE Japanese metal band!)
Mary's Blood (formed in 2009, a year after Destrose initial split by former members.)
Telecide (This band had a lot of potential. Drummer Natsumi is now in Bridear. Just released a live video of her drum solo in tribute to legendary drummer Cozy Powell.)
Doll$Boxx (A collaboration between members of the pop-rock band Gacharic Spin [check them out also!] and Lightbringer/Unlucky Morpheus vocalist Fuki.)
Disqualia (formed by ex-Destrose members after their second and final split)
Lightbringer
The Uncrowned
Sabbat
Cyntia
Galhammer (All-female thrash/death/black metal band.)
The Classics (all of these bands were formed in the 80's and are still around kicking ass!):
Show-ya (all-female heavy metal band formed in 1981.)
Loudness (Most popular metal band out of Japan.)
Ningen Isu (Think Black Sabbath-meets-Opeth.)
Anthem
44 Magnum
Sex Machineguns (Decided to go with "Machineguns" because they are heavier than the Sex Pistols...their words!)
Other popular bands:
Hell Freezes Over (80's thrash metal...band formed in 2013)
United (another bad-ass thrash metal band)
Galmet (all-female thrash metal band)
Broken By The Scream
Passcode
Saiseiga
Whoa!! Awesome list, thank you so much for making time to share this. I copied and saved into my Apple Notes for future additions to my list!!! Thanks again and stay tuned! ✌

Great Power Metal band unlike any other. The more you listen closely the more awe you will discover guaranteed. Haruna the drummer is insane if you iso track her work its incredible. 2018 - Bloodstock Open Air in England
2019 - Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Belgium
2019 - Download Festival in Spain
In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona.

🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘🤘🤘🤘💪
They are on a sound stage.
Tough for a sound engineer to pick up on it, I guess. 😉
Lol

My Lovebites 🏴 🐺 🤘 All Mine! I don't want to share

Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” ruclips.net/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/видео.html
The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc.
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."
Here are more clips you should check out:

"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ruclips.net/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/видео.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html;
Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” ruclips.net/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/видео.html;
And their most reacted-to video, “Holy War”: ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html
Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" ruclips.net/video/Brmoln5Gxus/видео.html
This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html
"Glory to the World" ruclips.net/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/видео.html
"Winds of Transylvania" ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html.
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
You seriously need to see one of their many live video's. "Set the world on fire" would be a good one or "Awakening/Hammer of wrath" , "Holy war" , " Break the walls" for some old school thrash vibes maybe? Anything from them is awesome!! Great reactions!! I'm subscribed!!
Fami Fami Fami!
Some data on the band:
The lead singer (Asami) is the group goofball, and is known as "The One and Only Voice" - and metal is a new genre for her vocally.
On bass you have the amazingly talented Fami - who doesn't have a nickname yet - but she really has injected even more energy and passion into the group.
Fun fact: Fami is the tallest member of the band, at 5'2" tall. :)
The ABSOLUTE BEST guitar duo in music today!! Definitely next level!!

The bass was there, you just didn't pick up on it. I am actually surprised you didn't, maybe a little ear syringing may come in handy 😉. 🤟😎
Yeah, they’re great. Gets better the more you listen as well cause there’s a lot going on.
😁
Lovebites is just one word, with equal emphasis.

I love NEMOPHILA.....BUT THE BEST IS HANDS DOWN LOVEBITES....
This is nothing watch them LIVE
you want to see Fami slapping ?? just react to "Soldier Stands Solitarily" official live video. She have little time to shine there. but we all wait for a live video of "Someone's dream" for a real bass solo. but it's still only audio available right now.
❤bites bruh🤘
you should react to Lovebites Scream For Me daughters of the dawn live tokyo 2019 or Lovebites Signs of Deliverance please let me know what you think
“The same thing”???!!! Nemophila, Band Maid, Lovebites???!! Really? Me thinks not…..
Thanks for watching and your comment! ✌🏽
Weird, I heard the slap no problem
Lol
(If I can film enough for it…and yes, I like using parentheses)))
🤘🏽😎🤘🏽
@@musikbyjh that's cool, i was assuming the different level comment brought out the troll...have fun checking out these bands.
