      Kurt literally always started with a down stroke. Watch any live video slowed down. And he didn’t add the amount of ghost notes this guy did either.
      It’s weird how many people play this riff completely wrong. Lol

      @@kieran92ryan and if you slow down the studio version to around 50% you can actually hear the low f note is the first note of the chord struck, so it’s a down stroke.

    Now I don’t want to be annoying or anything, but that isn’t exactly Kurts strumming pattern for this song. He starts each chord with an upstroke instead of a downstroke, creating an even more unique sound. This can be seen and heard on live performances and is pretty obvious when u realise it. Nice playing though :)

      @@dylanlamarre3768 no he’s right on the original recording and occasionally live Kurt would start the song with an upstroke. If you slow down the original, you can hear the higher strings being hit first.

    gotta correct the strumming pattern technique a bit, the forehand shouldn't be bent inwards, it puts more strain on the wrist. instead, it should be in line with the wrist. Love your videos!
