What a great teacher!!
Thank you so much!
Hope it’s going well- feel free to ask any questions !
Great video!!! I so wish we lived on a mountain!!! We are in IL! But luckily live on too of the neighborhood sled hill it’s tiny but for now it will do! My kiddo is super weird about shoes so that’s our biggest struggle yet but once we are outside he is having fun! We don’t spend much time in the board yet but I just want him to start loving being all dressed up and moving freely in the gear. He hates clothes, always wants to be with the minimal stuff and tells us how much he likes the cold which you know, awesome but also not because we are in the Midwest and the winter here is bitter! Anyway we finally got snow so I’m getting stoked and about to go out there thanks for the great tips! ❤
Awesome!
Yep getting him to love it is all that counts. Don’t be too scared with putting him on the board. You can also get him boots that are slightly bigger so it won’t be cramped. In the beginning it doesn’t quite matter and that way he’ll grow into them. (So 1-2 sizes up is fine!).
Feel free to write with more questions
Great video. I'm planning on teaching my 9 year old daughter to ride. I've been riding since 1993 and I'd love to have this to enjoy together with her.
Go for it! Once they get the hang of it you'l have the best time together. And at 9 it'll be far easier to teach - in addition to my tips in the video, you can start incorporating direction of weight on heel and toe - shoe her first on flat how each edge lifts when you lean on the other. Enjoy the process, and let me know if you have any questions!
So cool! Do it! My father skied when I was a kid, not my mom, they sent me to ski camp one year i yard saled all over and they didn’t send me back… i started snowboarding in high school and my dad picked up skiing again and my mom learned around me as well and those vacations were some of the best times I’ve had with my family. I wish they were a bit more strict and pushed me more as a kid… I wouldn’t have missed all those years on the slopes. My kiddo is 5 it’s strugglefest because of many things but I’m trying my hardest… I’m sure your 9 year old will be way more into it! But totally do it! It’s one of the coolest ways to spend family time if you ask me!
What a great teacher!!
And a great student!
This is a great teaching tool! Going to watch all of them

Great video.. 😊 Thanks. Going on the first ride today👍
Just a tip for later. The music is quite loud in relation to your voice. Can it be regulate a bit? 😀🙂
Glad you like the video - and thanks for the tip. I actually really appreciate it - these tips help me make better videos! :)
Unfortunately i cannot change the music level at this point, once the video was uploaded. However, I am planning to re-do a new version of these soon. in the meantime, feel free to send any question my way.
so cool! go L!
She's going... and going... and going.... :)
I don’t know how you can hear anything she says with the background music. Not for people hard of hearing.
Hey- thanks for the comment. Unfortunately you are correct- these are the first videos I ever made so I didn’t know any better haha. Anyways use subtitles and keep volume lower will help with the music. Next season I will release a remake of these and I promise for better quality.
