Kukirin G2 E-Scooter: I bought the biggest Scooter that would fit in a Honda Civic Type R

- The best purchase was my E-scooter
If you want to buy one, you could get them in Media Markt (I can't find the link on their website) or online here (it's not a paid link, I have put the link up for convenience)
www.kugooescoo...
Notes:
1. the link above is not ABE-compliant by default, so you won't be able to get insurance in Germany.
2. It does come with a CofC so you might e okay in other European countries eg Spain, Italy, France
You'll have to email them and ask them for a German Road spec one.

Me and the scooter are in cologne this week, if anyone wants to sample the hairdressers of appelhofplatz or ehrenfeld. Get in touch!
😂👍
Kölle alaaf!
you would buy one of these you chav
Sorry but these are absolutely illegal in germany. Only certain types of scooters and with an insurance plate are allowed.
@@leggy5294 rubbish, sold in media markt and saturn and comes with ABE.
The orange hook looks like a perfect place to put your tesco shopping bag !
Orange hook is to clip to platform! 👌
I can't believe it, you forgot to check and measure the bottom bracket shell size and tolerance.
Probably a bbright.
They were supposed to be legal in the UK end of last year (2023). The Govt. has drawn up the legislation based on the German spec and is ready to go. A number of UK manufacturers and other interested parties were assured this was the case and why we see them for sale in Halfords and Currys etc, but the Govt. shafted them at the last minute, much to their annoyance. Not entirely sure what happened but looks like some powerful lobby group had enough influence to suspend the legalisation being introduced for the time being at least.
That sucks. These are such a convenient car alternative for people doing a few miles in the morning commute.
Yes, this is pretty much what happened as far as I can tell. Pity, I was going to buy a scooter but held off just in case the law did not go through. Not sure what I am going to do now.
@@howarddavies136they are a fucking nightmare.
@@Celtic_Warriorwalk, you lazy sod.
@terrynorton3182 in terms of little scooter riding in the middle of the road in the dark without lights, on and off pavements etc, I 100% agree. If we had better cycling infrastructure that users could use with cyclists, then they could be a very good solution for cheap urban transportation. Problem is that a lot of the users are bellends.
For clarification:
1. The non German spec one has a light that can flash, that is illegal under StVZO.
2. Power limit is 500W
3. NRW police told me the speed limit 20kph. I'm not sure this is true
4. All of the above might be wrong.
Any scooter above 20kph is not legal in Germany and can't be registered. Unfortunately.
Many councils around the UK have bought a fleet of scooters, thinking it would be a good idea. The scooters are so abused, most of them end up committing suicide by drowning themselves in the nearest body of water.
You took the seat off? Should definitely have replaced it with an aero seat post and orange saddle - detachable of course. You only need aero gains when you’re late for hairdresser appointments!
Very popular with Deliveroo, commuters and drug runners 🙂
I dont get it, whats the point of this video?
A five year old is riding some silly scooter thingy made for 14 year old kids?
the hook is for your fish and chips
No rim brake version?
🤣😂😂😂
Keep ya eye on the headtube mount, they rattle the bolts lose
You really bought that particular one because it has the painted colour orange on it. 🧡
The controls look the same as you get on a Bafang ebike conversion kit
Honda Civic Type R 😊
Curvy latina women😊
Scooters...haven't tried one yet.
There' seems to be a real downer on eScooters, I've noticed travelling around that they are entirely banned from trains, which seems crazy.
Translated german crap :
Important directions/hints/usuage directions:
14 year min age for usage
Not helmet required although we recommend you wear one.
Insurance and a visible sticker on vehicle is required
Only use on bike paths and specially designated areas. In case the bike paths are absent you can ride on the road - as a car does.
Observe the weight limits.
The seats don't go down? Damn my '08 MINI had that option. And I fit 2 bicycles in it with my luggage.
Yes they do but then I can't get my passengers in
@@Hambini what are those? In 'Merica!! We drive one car per person cause FREEDOM!!!
Yes,they do have a lot of power.
I'm extremely curious about what you say is the only German light manufacturer worth the candle (?) The only one i know of, and definitely a world leader, is Busch & Muller. They don't, so far as I'm aware, make a cycle computer, unless it's under a different name?
Mind you, I'm old, ride a steel touring bike, have mudguards and want guaranteed lights - none of your crazy young things carbon stuff without pannier racks. Pah! You'll learn
Have you not just given people a legitimate reason to stalk you? - if they believe that you intend to illegally ride your scooter in Blighty?
I'm curious why there's an option to reset the odometer entirely like that. I know it's not a vehicle like a car, that needs to be registered and such, but just to stop the "barely used it" used sale market lies, I'd personally like it to keep that or the duty hours.
Initially I was interested in getting an e-scooter, but I changed my mind.
1. Battery safety issue. Getting a sketchy brand to save few bucks and end up with fire hazard.
2. Loss of exercise. Commuting to work with bike is only exercise for me.
Sigma - is the name of a company that makes cycling computers and various shitty front and rear lights to make them legal in Germany according to StVO
In Germany you need to put the insurance sticker on it, otherwise they will screw you (milage may vary from officer to officer), as its equivalent to the number plate on a car.
Satchin hack the BCM and Motor control, just to show how straightforward it is ...
Leading arm...as in when you front break it opens up and locks out so you've got no suspension all of a sudden like the old Honda moped design I still can't believe was a thing for all those years? 😮😂
I'm in Canada, my buddy has a scooter like that and will do 90km/h+ no insurance needed just make sure you have an escape route from the popo
Well looked it up and this scooter is available in USA. Now do I want to be road kill?
31kgs. That's a lot of bigmacs. What are they like to carry, say onto a train, into an office, using it like a Brompton ? Is your arm going to fall off ?
Shopping bag hook.
Weather is Germany is nice, careful being on the wrong side of the road. 😅
All that stuff about reflectors on bikes are just for when they are sold new
Wait, those are shimano pads on those brakes aren't they?
The hook is for groceries
I once had a green helmet, i had to take antibiotics for a month 😞
Very Napolean Dynamite.
I became quite ill 19 months ago, had to stop cycling, and due to an eye condition, can't drive. I was on an awful starter scooter with solid tyres and no suspension (I literally can't walk up hills, and am always quite breathless and tired).
Absolute rattle fest.
But I then upgraded to a similar dual Sus dual motor scooter, and have cut my commute time by I'd say 60%.
Dual 1000W motors, hydraulic brakes and coil overs.
Kaabo Mantis 10.
I have a motorcycle helmet and additional lights. It even has indicators.
65kmh at max charge and in dual motor mode.
Never ride on footpaths, and must adhere to the rules of the road. It's a bit tiring in winter, but enjoyable.
You really need to have your head screwed on though. They are rapid.
Didn’t really get this video. I guess you could have explained your use case, eg you drive to cities, park up on the outskirts and use it for getting around town. But why not go for a Brompton or Brompton Electric? You can’t take these on the underground in London (if it’s raining so you want to stay dry etc), and I’ve seen several people crash these when caught out by potholes. Also punctures are difficult to fix on these.
More info on why you chose the Type R over rivals would have been preferable.
I would kill myself on that thing. I have my front brakeon the left side american style. It messes wity my local mechanics here in the UK as they have to reverse it. The first few times i had to attach a note that stated that i am reversed. They still did it UK style. I took the bike out of the shop and rode home. I nearly killed myself. I rode back and stated: "WTF is this. I put a note on stated reverse brakes you pillocks."
Those scooters are all over malaga in spain. Hundreds of them in the city center. Some of them are hard to catch on a bike and require serious effort to catch. Trouble is once you catch them you have to keep pave with them. They can go for more miles than most legs will do that pace at. I found that out chasing one.
You are not wrong hambini when it comes to the reflector requirements. Front, back, wheels - as in sideways, and peddles. I have one on back of helmet i jsut found out, no rear facing one, no side facing onem one rear facing one on each sidi shoe. But i also have lights.
Screw scooters. Get a brompton.
a fellow vtec'r. hope you take advantage of those beautiful tracks over there.
It’s illegal in uk so why have one? If you get stopped it will be cut up
And this is my point, it is supposed to be illegal, they are sold by multiple large retailers, lots of people have them and they police rarely stop people
@@Hambini the cops will only bother if they can find you online. Oh, wait...
@@Hambini every june /july there is a crackdown so dont use it
no they sell em i know i buy em lol
If the UK police did happen to have a sting operation, what's the punishment if you get caught?
Here's the throttle and I'm not going to press that because it'll just go thru the garage door.....LONG PAUSE.
One thing bother me a lot in e-bikes... the lack of regenarative brakes like we have in scooters. I dont know why this happens.
They look like a crash just about to happen. How do they corner? Are they stable under hard braking?
What is always interesting for me, is that for vehicles that emit the lowest possible co2 per km, (10-20x lower than electric cars) for a co2 conscious EU, the legislation is far behind or downright hostile 😂😂😂 Either the car lobby is too strong, or it was never about co2 😅
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! ✌
KuKurin is the name?
Translate the three first letters to english from swedish and you all have a laugh.
🤢
You should try the seat, it looks dumb but you'll love it 😂😂
Put the seat back on, we all want to see if you can get your knee down in the corners.
I’d love ❤️ your car, I’d let your keep the scooter though😊
Have you tried asking AI to do your presentations like a 5year old?
Wait until you get a puncture. the tires are kuunt to get on and off.
If you dont want to get stranded from a puncture, you can use the same tire slime as you'd do for a bike.
Yesterday when i stoped on narrow road to do parallel parking some young guy almost smashed to the back of my car very near miss 😂
I reckon going through the back of someone's window is better on a scooter than a bike. I have tried the latter, just not the former
@@Hambinime too, #drunk, #mightHaveBeen, #who'sAsking 😅
Somewhere in Germany, my arse
I want to see the ladies
how much they paid you ahah
Hellooooo
Drug dealers use them
Have you insurance for it? I think that in the uk its compulsory.....Basically German engineering at its best! Just like the new bike i have just bought...a Storck Aerfast 4 AXS DT SWISS no doubt i will be fitting a Hambini bottom bracket as sram ones are total shyte!
What makes you think it was made in Germany? Christ, even Volvo's are now manufactured in China. Wakey-wakey...!😆
@@pekkaastrom7346 Thinking about you are probably right! :) :)
Touching brake rotors with bare fingers 🫣
Sigma is the light manufacturer i reckon
absolutely right, I had forgotten
@@Hambini i have their Aura100, pretty decent light.

hi, what engine do you have in your honda type r and what model year
It's a metal engine
@@Hambini hehe which engine in the Civic do you think is the most durable
honda civic 1.6 i-dtec is it a good engine
