That was fun. Skalman was a ping pong ball. It's nice to watch someone who isn't an alien. I'm still trying to get my LFM license. I'm slower than you so seeing your progress makes me want to go faster. Hopefully, I will see you on a track someday. I'll give you room in the corner.
Haha nice one. Good luck with getting your licence. Now I’ve experienced the difference good tyre pressures can make, I’d definitely recommend concentrating on that.
Bob, before LFM launched, I used to race on ACC's own daily races, their official CP server races. It helped me develop my race craft from scratch, since I had never sim raced. After 6 months, when LFM came about, I passed their license easily on my first try. It's a very forgiving test, in fact. I recommend you do those races, since there's not such a severe penalty system as LFM does.
When you're not on a fuel-saving map, it turns out you're pretty decent at this game! :D Getting a 46.5 in during all that action isn't too shabby! Some really impressive avoidance skills on display as well, especially on the first lap. No idea how you kept the car away from any sort of contact with either cars or barrier there. That red Ferrari was an absolute mess, and don't worry about your overtake and defence against him. That was really good racing and clean as a whistle.
Ahh thanks Christian. The wreck avoidance on lap 1 was more luck than skill I think! I felt bad for bumping the red Ferrari at the time, ad I don’t like to make contact with anyone. But after watching the replays, it seems he was clattering into anyone who was anywhere near him! So I think I got off lightly, compared to the others 🤣
Skalman was out of control as demonstrated with his earlier incidents nothing on you into T1 that was on him.... great to see you 'getting' ACC Chris thoroughly enjoyed this race buzzing from your excitement.... ACC can be hugely entertaining hope this has given you a thirst for it. Good race mate
Absolutely it has Nij, this is the most I’ve enjoyed any race in ACC, so it’s made me keen to try a few more. Yeah I was really worried about bumping that guy at the time. Then, when I checked out the replay, I saw that he was clattering into anyone within 50m of him 🤣
Awesome race Chris lad! Great to see you on the front foot and fighting for position. Super pace as well. Agree with everyone else - neither of those incidents on you!
Cheers, yeah it certainly makes the ACC experience a little more enjoyable when I’m not spending 15 of the 20mins driving around by myself at the back!
Great race :) glad to see your doing much better in the Ferrari. Your commentary is top notch! Skalman lost on T1, everything else was a desperate attempt at clawing back rating. He was the aggressive one, you gave him space the first time and he tried to squeeze you, and the second time he overshot and tried to use you as a corner bumper Gran Turismo style. I'm glad it backfired.
Thanks, yeah at the time I felt I might have been a bit too aggressive. But then, when I saw the replays, I realised he was clobbering anyone who got anywhere near him! So actually I was really lucky I didn’t get spun out at T1. For all of his hits up to then, he seemed to get away with it and carry on in the right direction. So I guess he ran out of luck, fortunately for me!
Great run there Chris!! Your crash avoidance radar is working excellent there!!!! Some really close calls and you handled it amazing!! Congrats on your finish, and don't worry about the red Ferrari, he was hittin everyone on the track, lucky you got away from him!!! Thanks for sharing!! w
Thanks Walt, I think my wreck avoidance was 20% skill and 80% luck! Yeah the red Ferrari was clattering into everyone he went near. I didn’t feel so bad after seeing all that on the replay!
Thanks! It’s just a relief to actually be able to keep up with people! I really couldn’t see how I was going to be able to after last week! But the new setup has helped… oh, and practice! Something I don’t usually do enough of 🤣
No, you weren't agressive. In fact, you should actually report the guy in the Ferrari. He's a complete liability on track. A danger to everyone around him.
Thanks Luiz. At the time, in the race, I worried I had been over-aggressive both with the pass and the T1 defending. But yeah, after the race when I saw the replays, I realised he was being quite reckless throughout… there’s the lap 1 incident, and then hitting two more drivers from behind. So having seen those incidents, I guess the contact between us was pretty inevitable! I was just really lucky I wasn’t taken out at T1, like what happened to the other guys. Thanks for watching 😃
You gave him the room that is required for a safe pass. You were also aware that he was reckless and knew that he wasn't going to let you past without some sort of contact. Karma prevailed with his despicable effort at a pass at T1 , trying to use you as a buffer to slow him down to complete the pass but he spun out instead thank goodness. Total bellend of a driver. Well done to you. Great drive and well though out race 👍
Thanks for sub, nice one! 4 races down, 6 to go! But gotta keep an eye on my safety rating too… if I get involved in too many more scraps like this one, then it’ll soon tumble down!
I look forward to each of your videos - they are so entertaining. Subscribed. Oh and that red Ferrari driver needs be be excluded from LFM. I hope there are measures to remove repeatedly clumsy drivers like him.
Another great video Chris, thanks, well done on the progress on ACC! Would you consider sharing some of that insight around setups/tyres etc that helped you gain the pace? I know it would be a different sort of video for you, but might be interesting for some of your viewers to progress with you. Keep up the great work!
Cheers mate, yeah nice idea, I’ll look into doing that. First I need to see if I can compete again in an ACC race, or whether this was just a one-off lucky race 🤣
Cheers, yeah ideally I wish it was still RaceRoom, but I’ve just really struggled to find a race in there lately. Hopefully entry numbers will rise again after the summer holidays. Never really warmed to ACC before, but this was easily the most I’ve enjoyed a race in this sim 👍
Thanks David, yeah I couldn’t believe how a few little setup changes could make the car so much easier to drive! Really appreciate all the tips, it’s helped me out big time this week
Another very exciting outing. I watched it with my 8 old son on the big tv... He was glued to the screen and riding every curb with you! Have you tried the GT4's in ACC?
Ahhh lovely, thank you both for watching! I drove a couple of GT4s a very long time ago in some SCB races. We did a Ginetta mini series at one point. Also done a couple of races in the BMW M4 before. Will definitely try it again, just to mix it up a bit.
Hahaha yeah it was pretty chaotic out there! Think I was really lucky not to get taken out properly. When I was at the back, it was easy to build up the safety rating. But that took a bit of a hit in this race - think I ended with 21 incident points! And not many were my fault 🤣
Yeah, there I was worrying about whether I was a bit rough with him during the overtakes. Then I watch the replays, and see him clatter into anyone who’s anywhere near him 🤣 So I think I was lucky not to get spun out… particularly with that T1 bump
Congratulations for your good result! Skalman and Motin behaved very ugly! I hope they have been reported from the guys they blindly dived and punted out of there way. Horrible to watch those dive bombers reckless driving. If I understood you correctly, you're driving in LFM as a rookie. I'm very curious, wether the races itself improve when you get a better rank in LFM. Currently I prefer your all in all much, much cleaner RaceRoom vidoes.
Yeah, LFM have a similar rating system to iRacing. I’ve only just started on it, so yes I’m a rookie. I need to complete 10 rookie races and have a safety rating above 4.0 to be able to do the main races. Currently I’ve only done 5 races, so I’m halfway there. Keeping safety rating is easy if you just stay back and keep clear of everyone. But when you actually try to race with them, like I did in this video, you soon rack up the incident points. I’m still not sold on ACC, it just doesn’t click for me like RaceRoom does.
That was fun. Skalman was a ping pong ball. It's nice to watch someone who isn't an alien. I'm still trying to get my LFM license. I'm slower than you so seeing your progress makes me want to go faster. Hopefully, I will see you on a track someday. I'll give you room in the corner.

Get out of rookies mate...pronto
Thanks for sub, nice one! 4 races down, 6 to go! But gotta keep an eye on my safety rating too… if I get involved in too many more scraps like this one, then it’ll soon tumble down!
Nice driving Chris!

Great racing Chris. The Ferrari was working well for you here, some beautiful flowing car control in the final sector! 👍

That Skalman guy needs a ban. Inexcusable shotty race craft.

well they don't call ACC "tyre pressures simulator" for nothing ;)
Makes a bit of a difference, doesn’t it! 🤣
Where did that black Porshe think he was going? Some very questionable driving standards on display.
Haha, yeah I know right? Sadly it seems to be a common theme in a lot of my recent ACC videos.
