this takes me back to simpler times. going to the movies with my family and all of us coming out of the theater excited during lazy weekends. where has the time gone
Well done Edward Shearmur! This is genuine music that will still move someone's heart in the year 3017... The Harp & strings piece from 2:55 till 6:05 is sheer beauty: So so peaceful and delicate. My throat chokes and my soul soars every time I listen to it! It makes you feel a better person from the heart within...
This movie is one of the greatest book adaptations ever made. It not only does the book justice but also improves on it. Not many book adaptations can pull it off.
@@dzialo5484 Without wanting to insult the genius of Dumas, I think the novel is very bloated and convoluted . Yet I also feel the movie trims too much of it.
Speaking as a self-imposed film critic, this is one of the greatest movies ever made. One cannot be the same after viewing. Always remember lads, "God will give me justice."
God this creepy tune...I still can picture the Count getting down that air balloon and walking to greet the people...with just a subtle word..."Greetings"
Blame Hans Zimmer for the homogenization of the Hollywood sound. Film music is no longer a component of the story, it merely exists as a sound effect. It's cheaper and easier for directors to say "Make it sound like Inception" than it is for them to sit down with the composer and wring the emotions out of a scene.
Thank you for posting this compilation of pieces from this soundtrack. It’s rare to find this soundtrack on other public mediums like Spotify. It costs a toenail on iTunes btw.
Türkiye'nin Hakkarisi'nde oturan bir emekçi 2024'te iki ciltlik baskısından okuyor bu soyeseri. Tüm macera severlere öneriyorum bu romanın okunmasını. Tuğla gibi ciltler olmasından ürkmeyin ve başlayın.
I’ve always loved and disliked the poster for this movie. One of my favorite movies of all time but is it just me or does Jim look more like Antonio Banderas in this poster than himself?!
Can`t you read the description below the video? Music from the 2002 film The Count of Monte Cristo, music composed and conducted by Edward Shearmur. Performed by the London Metropolitan Orchestra. Jees

Hollywood simply isn't able to produce great movies like this. Thank God we have 8 decades of quality to enjoy!

6:05 sounds like the pirates of the caribbean.
Absolute cinematic masterpiece, hands down!!!

It's a good movie, but it changes so much from the book. Missing characters and subplots, and the fate of each character is very different.
I love this movie !!!!

I'm so annoyed this masterful soundtrack isn't on Spotify
Yep...however, there is a fix: capture this audio (and every other audio that is not downloadable using "Soundtap"...~$30 and worth it. Good luck.

I think the count of monte cristo 2002 soundtrack is coming to Spotify in june 23, 2023.

One of the best movie sound tracks of all time if not the best. A true masterpiece. Also happens to be my favorite movie.
"Greetings!"
it was without "!" and calmly.

Love 2000s so much.
Thank you for this upload. My all time favorite movie and one of my favorite books-I started to read victor Hugo’s works.

Great music for a great movie.
I loved that film and its soundtrack. And it was thanks to it that then I met the book. Wonderful story.
My favorite movie of all time.

4:25 the prison music, best song in the ost
One of the best movies of all time...
Good last movie for Richard Harris’s life to end on! And a great big one for Jim Caviezel to build his career on before the passion!
Why don't they make slower deeper movies like this one, with amazing orchestral pieces also like this anymore? I'm 17 and want this stuff back
because of woke insane radical people in the media, politics and hollywood, we cant have this anymore, its racist and oppressive and undiversive!
I'm 19 and share the sentiment
Woketard industry plants , hired in every US entertainment industry to distract and divide us with their garbage nonsense.

The poster/main title graphic to this movie makes it look like it's starring Antonio Banderas instead of Jim Caviezel.
I miss This Music! So Epic Good! I wish they bring back the old themed music like this! Maybe for Bible ✝️ Movies.
Awesome music !!!

Put this on, light a candle, and read a book on ancient / medieval history.
