I dont understand all the confusion with the red plug. It is universal so it is made for 1 hole and 5 hole machines if you still have the 1 hole coffee maker and bought the new reusable k cup leave the plug in. If you have the new 5 hole coffee maker TAKE THE RED PLUG OUT! it serves no purpose.
I'm pretty sure you REMOVE the red rubber gasket so that all 5 holes are available for the K-supreme plus. :-) The red rubber gasket is for use on older 1-whole models. However, Thanks for the EZ-scoop tip !
New Keurig owner and I am so glad I stubbled across your page!!! Super helpful tips, all your videos. Question regarding grinding your own coffee beans, how finely do you grind it for the universal Kcup?
Dose anyone else’s supreme spit water over the side of the my k cup into ur coffee or is my kurig jus shot? There’s usually one streem of coffee and like 3 or 4 drip streams coming from the sides of the opening in to my coffee
Yes! That happens to my Keurig Classic. I called Keurig since it was under warranty and they sent me a new one. It does the same thing, unfortunately. I cant figure out what I am doing wrong. I am using officially licensed Keurig products.
@@chocolatetickles I’ve jus been putting less coffee in the pod n and using the strong botton and it’s been doing it noticeablely less also saves $ on coffee
YES! I just replaced my old faithful Keurig of several years with the Supreme with multi-flow. I thought the first one was defective because water was spewing everywhere from the bottom of the dispenser. I returned it and got a second one which is doing the same thing, but not as bad. Ive tried leaving the red gasket in and taking it out - on the first machine i had grounds everywhere, so maybe that was on me, maybe filled too high with grounds. I think I’ll try again paying attention to the max line better and using the strong setting which will slow down the flow of water.
I used the generic filter that came with the Ez-scoop and can fill it to top with grinds for a good strong cup and have no problems. The only draw back is the generic version is for the single pricker models, but it`s still worth it for an easy and clean way to fill coffee grinds in the filter.
I unfortunately don't have a strong button on mine. So what i did was take the gasket around the needle at the top and basically two ply my new keurig. I have 2 gaskets stacked on top of each other. Now when ever I make coffee, it stays dry everywhere around the needle and no spraying. I tried putting less coffee and it didn't work for me. I'm glad I found a solution that worked.
I just got my new K Supreme Plus. The reason of get in it is because if the two choices of brewing. Really like it. Thank you for your very informative video.👍🏼
We had a Keurig not for convenience, but because my husband do not like the same strength of coffee, and we used the My K cups because I hate single use plastic.
You know I underestimate this as a reason for having a Keurig; I also hate the fact that all the pods use so much plastic, it's one reason why I buy Boyd's pods so often as they don't actually use the plastic lower pod, just the rim but I'm coming around. Honestly, once my littlest kid (5 months old) is a bit older I may go back to brewing moka and french press more often, I feel like I've had a tiny baby in the house for a lifetime at this point, they demand so much attention that using two hands to do anything but deal with them seems like a luxury most of the time. lol
The k cup is nice for us who can't afford k pups I pay 12$ a month for Maxwell house intense bold and get 5 8ounce cups a day it's easily triple that price for actual k kups
Thanks very much. I couldn’t get anywhere near 17 or 18 grams of coffee in my Universal K-Cup maybe 12 or 13 grams? I tested my scale the best I could with Pennies and nickels. Any suggestions?

Awesome, I'm glad that I was able to explain it good enough for you also glad to introduce you to a great product (ez scoop). I love that there are still some great products out there that don't price gouge. Anyway as for your question, I always keep water in my Supreme's reservoir although when I'm using it regularly I go through the whole reservoir in 2-3 days at a time, even faster when I'm running tests and experiments for the channel and my website. If I wasn't using it regularly, like my Nespresso units, I always dump the water out occasionally (if I haven't used it in a couple of weeks or so) and run vinegar through it before switching back to fresh water. Standing water (for too long) always breeds bacteria IMO.

I didn't go through all the comments, I just use a simple plastic funnel that's in the kitchen already. Pour the coffee in the funnel while it's in the K cup screen and give it a few taps.
The Ez-scoop is the cats meow for no mess, It also comes with a reusable filter that works well but only on the machines with a single pricker. But for $6 at wally world it`s worth every penny.
Grams to ounces? Metric to Imperial? Really? Com’on man keep ur measurements consistent! Grams (solid) to Milliliters (volume). Or ounces to fluid ounces or cups!
I understand you have alot of Keurig machines old and new, but you have to be more specific. Those of you looking for videos on the red plug that comes with the new universal k cup and the new 5 hole supreme, you DONT use the red plug. The instructions are vague and are confusing at best in the K cup box . This new K cup again is universal so the plug is to be used with the old 1 hole machines not the 5 hole. He is right you can leave it in, and the machine will push them down out of the way, but why would you want to do that unless you switch between old and new machines . If you have the new 5 hole free yourself and put the red plug in your junk drawer and enjoy your coffee. Also the bottom line in the k cup basket is for cups of coffee, and the max line is for travel mugs. it is all up to your taste and strength.
I have the k supreme I have tried every way to use the reusable filter and it's still sprays all over. Even got a new machine. Is there any way to fix this issue? The reusable filter is the new one. I haven't seen you show the coffee making with the reusable filter.
You missed the point. That being the desire to brew one cup of coffee rather than 10 cups and throwing out 9. Not all pods deliver a better tasting coffee than when I grind my own blend of beans. Which I can do at a significant less cost than the pods. Paper filters are available for the reusable pod cups to eliminate any sludge. All this rendering a better tasting coffee, one cup at a time.
Didn’t make things much easier for me. In the end, I concluded that if you are not going to use the pre filled pods in the Keurig then there is a much better option than the Keurig. I switched to the Ninja coffee maker machines and never looked back. You can brew single cups of coffee in four different sizes-plus pots of coffee without ever having to deal with those MESSY refillable k-cups ever again. Keurig machines are great if you’re going to buy the K-cups ready to go. But if you are going to use their refillable k-cup system they not great by any stretch of the imagination
Thank you for your video. I watched your previous one and purchased the Supreme Plus. I also bought the Universal filter and could not figure out how to fit it in the holder of the machine. The instructions that come in the box are incorrect. There is no mention of removing the extra grey clip from the bottom. Thank you very much for explaining that!!! Now I am not sure about the red valve underneath the lid. Should I be removing that as well so that all 5 holes are open?
You are welcome, as for your question about the red valves, those are opened automatically by the extra needles on the Supreme and Supreme plus, and presumably any future machine that uses their multi-point injection tech. If you use the new design My K-Cup with a machine that only has a single needle then just make sure all of those four red valves are closed securely before closing the door and hitting the brew button.

So, less spill, more steps. Using MY k-Cup does nothing to avoid that mess: you could just use the dish & EZ scoop with any cheap-o plastic k-pod cups. MY K-Cup only allows regulating amounts of grind. And try using an EZ Scoop to get grinds directly from the grind chamber of your grinder - no way! But pre-grinding defeats the purpose of a fresh grind. Using old-style funnels won't work as you can't control over-filling ( and then more steps to deal with that). What I really wish for is a pourer that would fit over a removeable grind chamber (which I have) and then allow you to neatly sift in just the amount desired. Of course, you still need to rinse the pod/filter-thingys. Also, I only drink 2 cups a day so a REAL brewer is too much waste and pour-overs take too much time and effort.
