I love how all the other youtube overlanders always try to make the best meal they can possibly make. And heres Mike with instant noodles and eggs haha gotta love it!👏🏻
Never thought ill ever see Mike representing the "asian squat" at 8:13. That's an epic adventure man...I love doing a bit of fishing when I see a lake or stream as well.
Nice little get away! Good job snagging the fish! Like you say doesn’t matter what gear you have just get out and enjoy the outdoors! Appreciate what you do Mike!
@@LastLineOfDefense Finally made it out to Silverton this year. Years of saying I wanted to and this was the only way it finally happened. Now setting a plan for going back!
Hi Mike, loved the video. Best part was when you purposely wet your hands in the lake before handling the trout. Finally somebody that knows how to properly handle a fish. Keep up the good work. More like this!
Those 4runners are so sickkkkkkkk. Btw the scenes on that trail is absolutely stunninggggggg. Those mountains in the background is so beautiful. Colorado is truely such a beautiful state and can’t wait to visit there one day.
The Ouray/Silverton area has many great trails and the area is beautiful ! There are many Jeep and ORV rentals so trails are well traveled but some are very challenging.
It reminds me of a trail we have been on in Southwest Colorado. I understand not naming the trails. The ones we Jeep on are well known. They are well traveled but the scenery is awesome.
Mike - I can’t believe you had that lake to yourself!!! Every time I pass that lake it is full of folks camping. Great trip and loved the fishing elements. My son and I enjoyed the same fun weather pattern down south in the Sandie’s on a backpacking trip. You had more luck with the fish than we did. Keep up the great content👍
The tremor is cool but the tacoma has so much charm to it. I’d take his tacoma over that new tremor all day everyday. Plus I’m more of a midsize truck guy over a giant full size like the tremor.
@@andrewsimpich9329 weird. I don't own kid toys, I have real rigs. I have a '88 K1500 with a front axel swap on 35's and a LR4 with lockers, rack, winch, 33's. But I couldn't find this spot last night. Looks like it's white river national. But he said in a comment that it was local, so probably in Arapahoe. You'll see me out there this season. Dumping my garbage and setting fires.
Ouch! I did that exact same thing in the 90's jumping a bmx bike with a set of bear traps. I still have the huge indentation from the missing chunks lol
I'm really proud of your guys fish handling etiquette. I have seen WAY too many fishing vids on RUclips of people handling fish like a bunch of Neanderthals.
We need to see that thing out on the trail wheeling!! I keep watching your videos expecting that I’m gonna see that thing on the trail and I’ll end up seeing you eat and you’re set up which is awesome and your wife is cute so that’s a bonus but it would be awesome to see it out on the trails.
@@LastLineOfDefense That was a fast response and certainly a pleasant surprise. I was meaning your F250 Tremor. I have a 2020 Raptor and am always curious about how something of that size would do on the trail but I don’t want to risk damaging it. So I don’t wheel the Raptor but a built 96 Jeep Cherokee XJ. I love seeing the larger rigs on the trail.
Perfect spot to wake up too, no idea the trail but am local will have to venture out to see if I can find it, smart call on not sharing so many places I have seen get wrecked due to over travel or people not being respectful.
Tacoma vs Tremor: I believe both are great. I’m 6’3” 225lbs. Disabled vet with jacked up knees, hip, and back….jumping out of planes isn’t all its cracked up to be. All that said, the Tacoma is not comfortable for me especially on long hauls. I know because I tried it on an 12 hour run from Dallas to Pagosa and back. My broken body screamed at me. I currently own a Tremor. Lots more wiggle room for me in it.
QUESTIONS regarding the comparison: weights of both with all the gear on? whats the mpg with all the gear on? do you find parking a hassle with the bigger truck? without the other cars, do you gravitate towards one of the two for just quick daily commutes or errands?
Yep, I should do some fishing while I'm here. I've already done about every pass in the San Juan mountains and explored the towns. BTW. Hi Pie pizza..... nahhhhh. Great video man. Can't wait for your take on Tacoma verses the beast. Hahaha.
I would think the break down will be trails and comfort. But the Taco has many more upgrade options. My Ram is almost impossible to get cool racks and lights.
You mentioned you were going to talk about why you don't ever leak spots but never did! I probably know why but it'd be cool to hear your whole reasoning!
Love your videos, question for comparison video: Is the gas mileage difference between the two trucks noticeable? I daily drive my Tacoma and fear how a full size rig would drain my bank account for fuel.
You didn't say why you don't talk about the trails you go on. You were going to comment about that some. I'm pretty sure I know why. My question on the full size truck was the weight and the length problematic on tight trails or step inclines? Was there a major difference or did you feel they were both very capable?
Been getting caught up and now I’m at real time! Love the channel bro, already feel like we’re friends because we dig the same stuff. Also just got a VERTX pack for the Truckie pew, thanks for the code brochacho!
Hey Mike. Whats your take on the Jeep wrangler Rubicon? Do like them, do you not like them, just curious? I'm torn between a 4RUNNER or a Jeep Wrangler. Thanks!
Love your channel, learned a lot, after driving the f250 for a while, which ride quality do you prefer on road and off road Tacoma or Ford? I currently own a Tacoma but looking at Ford trucks
Can’t ever get enough of the Weekenderlanders. 👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks for watching!

Being locked in a city, its one of my only few connections with nature right now in my life.
Mike if there is one thing I need from you, it is more fishing videos. Appreciate the content!

The sodium though!!

Use to watch the weekenderlander videos like people watch “friends” show on a daily! Lol missed them!!
I like all of your videos, but the Weekendlanders are for sure up there as a favorite!
Nice little get away! Good job snagging the fish! Like you say doesn’t matter what gear you have just get out and enjoy the outdoors! Appreciate what you do Mike!
I’m so jealous. I need land and some space away from the city.
Set a goal, make a plan, make it happen!

The Weekenderlander series helped inspire the creation of my own channel. Thanks and keep them coming!
Dream trip right there. Simple overnight trip with buds and great scenery. Can't beat it.
I gotta say, this is one of my favorite episodes. Its the fishing out in the wild open for me.

The camp spot looked AMAZING next to that lake! Also, I really enjoyed your music choices in this one. Keep it up Mike!

what a beautiful place to go fishing and spend the night with the homies
Love the video. Great to see a SUPER motivator like yourself influencing people to get out there and live a great life. 👍 😁
Great Weekenderlander... Three great things, dirt trails, fishing, and the Tacoma!
“This one is for you!”
Thanks, bro.
You're very welcome!

Trucks pros and cons; In Colorado mountains vs city driving, and long drives

I did the same thing on a bike. Only I was in middle school, on a BMX bike, in flipflops. Not a good combo. Nailed the bunny hop though!

What do you use for a sd card reader? I can’t find one to use on my new iPad. The USB C type, I’ve tried two different ones
Good one Mike..!
My biggest question would be capability of the f250 on the trail and if you had to choose one which one would you choose
I would think the break down will be trails and comfort. But the Taco has many more upgrade options. My Ram is almost impossible to get cool racks and lights.
Use by Dec 2020? What's the shelf life, 1 year? Pretty horrible life for a bar to put in a bug out bag.
