Terry Allen: Ring (1976-80)

Legendary Texan musician and visual artist Terry Allen describes the history and process behind "Ring" (1976-80), a body of work consisting of a video, an installation, drawings, and a theater piece. This work follows two alcoholic writers as they play out their marital grievances
in a wrestling match, bound (metaphorically and literally) by the confines of the “ring."
