Awesome glad to hear that feedback Thanks
Mike's phone service was out for lunch Courtney you ain't got to worry about those rocker panels it's double walled enforcement great job either way I love it
lol yea his phone was!
That's going to be a great ride when you get finished ✅️
Hoping to accomplish big things with it. Thanks
Make a jig out of all that cargo ship metal just picking on it glad you're honest that should show all new people that you are real and honest
lol I could build a cargo ship with it.
Thanks man I’ll always admit all mistakes to help others. Even if it makes me look stupid
Definitely gonna be a one of a kind!!
💪🏻
Next time, you may want to try a metal building supply. They often stock thin wall channel iron, and square and rectangular tubing.
That’s a great tip! Thanks
That was some massive iron tubing. Between you and Mike's Tallent level you'll get the framework straightened out.
Yes it was lol it was ridiculous
Cool 😎 !

A wize man once told me , if you haven't f_cked up it's because you haven't done anything. And experience is what you get when you don't get what you wanted. Keep up the good work you got it going on man !
Thanks buddy you’re 100% right
This is definitely going down the road of strange builds and im loving it!!
Awesome! That’s the point to this one is grow attention to the channel and teach every step of a build.
@ThePaintPaperHustle it's going to suck seeing the comet leave but that'll be a win win for you and the new owner ... you'll get to build your own shop and they will get one badass ride
@chadlavoie8609 yes! Glad you understand and get it buddy
1 step Fwd 2 step back sometimes
Sometimes
On a serious note, go to building materials supply house and buy some 2x6 or 2x8 metal studs they will work perfectly for rockers imo
Thanks
Lol you could always use the 2x8-1/4" for a frame table to jig the actual frame on. 😂
lol yea that’s what I told Mike and the wife. But then I’d have to spend another $210 for the other rail. Two of them would make a killer table though. Maybe one day
A semi truck frame is that thick, but i would take that piece and cut down the middle and use as the rocker/ frame rail so it will be all the way out to edge of your body you could lay it on the frame when aired out. Then box the end of them right before you get to your wheel wells with the 2x6 frame rails to come in for your front and back suspension rails and just gusset it up. Those rocker/rails would be perfectly fine as a c channel rail/rocker at that thickness and would sit all the way on the ground so it could be a happy mistake people would be scratching their heads how you're able to lay the body on the ground but wouldn't know it's actually part of your frame so that's what I would do.
Thanks. I don’t think I explained myself well. I was using this to weld to the sheet metal of the car not the frame. This piece is so heavy it took the forklift at shop to unload. It’s absolutely not needed any where in an automotive build at that size. And cutting it long ways would be absolutely ridiculous and take many cut off wheels
@ThePaintPaperHustle you would only need but like a 6 foot piece though and could ask some friends who have a plasma cutter to slice up real quick to bring over.
A Cummins 4BT has the potential to make pretty good power.
Yea it should be fun!
Maybe your next build could be a demolition derby car.
lol we could turn the comet into that
You welcomed new members but forgot to introduce yourself, Wally. Speaking of the Mercury, will it wheelie Wally? I mean if you set the bars to do it on purpose and loaded the trunk, could you drag the bumper for us, pleeaassse?
lol good point
Haven't, been to college. But, I've payed tuition a few times, myself.😃
lol me too buddy
Will you consider to get a frame from an S10 Chevy from a junkyard or any other pickup or van to adapt to your project? Probably will be a lot cheaper and convenient because you have a Cummins engine.
No bc we can easily build a custom frame that’s exactly what we need and look 100x better. Im shooting for the stars with this build. I need everything to be one off custom if possible so it looks killer and will do good in shows
You might need higher amp welder to put the frame together😂
😂 for that one piece. On a real note this one’s 220v and will burn in that 1/4” good. I’ve welded some thick stuff with it.
Make it faster how much you want for that black car
The comet is 60k. No one cares about making it faster
Cut big peace Down the middle make frame rails wrong
lol that’s a hell of a cut down the middle. As I showed I have all my frame rails. That was suppose to be the rocker panel piece
College my ass, common sense would have saved you on that 1.smdh
BTW kids aren't learning that in college
Ok sorry
